A slow, deliberate shake of Kalinda's head said more than words. "He moved on already, I saw to this. I was there when he died, and he saw imdiately. I explained to him what had happened to and what had happened to him as well...that were now ghosts. He was shocked to realize that I had died and so had he. I also made a promise to him.
To return the pain he had gone through to the person that had caused his suffering by ten folds. That is why I have destroyed this family the way I have." She let out a bitter sob. "You know initially I had decided to let those innocent children be but when I asked Eliza to confess the truth to the public, give a befitting burial and pay for her cris that bitch refused.
I thought that you would talk sense into her perhaps, but she refused to listen and used a talisman to sever my ties with the living world, that only made even more furious and pushed over the edge completely." She confessed.
"So how did you reconnect to this world? Did sothing happen to the person that gave Eliza the talisman?" Maureen asked.
"Lies...these are lies." Noah covered his ears and shook his head. The revelations being made about his wife were too horrific to believe. Murder, stealing a company, throwing a child to the street!! It was too terrible to think about.
At the sa ti, he was furious. If Eliza had known all this, why had she endangered their children? Why didn't she divorce him and deal with her problems away from them to avoid the misfortunes that happened?
Noah sunk into sobs, pain that felt equal to the one he suffered when his children died consud him.
Kalinda's gaze traveled in Noah's direction. "That poor man is a victim of Eliza's greed and selfishness just like I was. I feel sorry for what I did to him, but I am also glad that he now knows the truth. He holds his wife on this high pedestal, but she is the most vicious person I have ever t.
She is without remorse; her heart is as dark as the night. Eliza Grant uses every ans possible to get what she wants. She is into sorcery and dark magic like stealing the luck of others. Do you think that she grew the company basing on her ordinary hard work alone?
She has been backed by a warlock from Magic city all along. In order to deal with her I knew that I heard to get assistance from soone much stronger. I don't know who heard my wish, but a demon ca to and extended a helping hand, and I took it. That is how I was able to get the upper hand." Kalinda admitted.
Noah made the sign of the cross and began to say a prayer. He had no idea what he was praying for anymore.
The ghost catching team anwhile was trading curious and surprised gazes. It was the second ti that they were running into this kind of weirdness, demons and ghost working together.
"You made a deal?" Maureen asked, her eyes narrowing. "You are not human though! It is not like a demon has much to benefit from making a deal with you, it cannot possess your body." She argued.
Clucking her tongue thrice. "You ghost catchers are really behind. Tis have changed, a lot of ghosts have been making deals with demons lately and this demon was not the ordinary kind. Why do you think ghosts are floating around humans more than ever before.
They are acting as spies, watching and passing on secrets in exchange for favors. For , the demon said that I could possess this body for as long as I wanted in exchange for selling majority of TK Entertainnt to it. But I had to remain as the face of the company. I did not ask questions because I was benefiting in every way, I just said yes." Kalinda told them.
"Is this the man or demon?" Phoebe asked, displaying Enigma's picture, she was already aware that he had bought the company.
Nodding, Kalinda confird his identity. "Yes, that is him. He brought in new employees and fired most of the old ones. He even brought in new talent, twenty extrely gifted young n and won. I don't know why he wants to remain in the background though."
Maureen had a great feeling that the extrely talented young n and won were humans that had made deals with demons. This was not new, it was sothing they had been doing for thousands of years.
Maureen sneered. "Well, that must have been dealt with by now." She spoke with nonchalance.
"What do you an?" Kalinda raised a question, her brows going up. "These are not demons that you can ss with, I am warning you." Her voice trembled from fear.
Ignoring her, Phoebe returned to the business on ground. "Listen Kalinda the only deal that you should be making is one in which your soul can be saved even after the horrible things that you have done. If you go to hell, you will never see your son in the afterlife nor will you reincarnate. If you leave that body now, I promise to give you purification water that will buy you a second chance.
You will be punished for killing Eliza's two children however, that is inevitable. For the sake of your son, I will say prayers for you such that the heavens can grant you another chance to be with him in the afterlife and reincarnate as mother and son again. But if you refuse, we will have no option but to condemn you to hell." Phoebe's voice carried a glacial warning.
"It is too late for ; there is no way my soul can be saved now especially after taking a demons deal and possessing a human." Kalinda's words ca heavy with unspoken guilt.
"I will take it from here Pheebs." The Saxon spirit said.
The spirit brought out the ghost's notebook and summoned Kalinda's son. The mont she saw him, her will to resist ca crumbling down. Lucky for them, the son lanted for his mother to co to him.
"Forget about the revenge mother, I miss you and I am alone here." He told her, his sad voice nudging her heart like the light feathers of a butterfly. More than revenge, what she dreaded the most was her son being alone and scared ever again.
"Okay, it may take a while, but I will be there with you." Kalinda sent him a kiss, tears pouring out of the eyes like a leaking tap. She shifted her wet eyes to Phoebe. "You promise to pray for my soul and help us reincarnate together again. You really an that. No what I should be asking is can you really do that?" Her voice sounded skeptical.
