Poor Mariana!

She opened her mouth, but no words ca out. The room had suddenly turned suffocatingly silent.

Sienna kept crying over George’s body, "Papa... Papa always talked about it..." She sobbed, "He used to say... if anything happened to him, he wanted to save lives before leaving this world."

"Sia..." Ruby let out a weak chuckle nervously, "You’re being emotional right now. We can discuss this later."

She wished that she had a magic wand and she could make Sienna invisible by using it. What was the bitch up to?

She used to be innocent, but in Ruby’s present life, Sienna had beco more stupid and more annoying. What was going on inside her head? She was supposed to cry... just cry, feel heartbroken, and go ho.

But nah. She wanted to fulfill her father’s last wish that nobody knew of.

She looked up and found Dr. Greyson wiping the sweat off his face. Tsk. This man was stuck.

"Discuss this later?" Sienna suddenly lifted her tear-strained face and looked at her with swollen eyes, "Did you say later? What later? Papa’s body is right here! Okay!" Her throat felt sour after so much screaming.

Ruby and Mariana were frozen to the spot. Her mother stepped forward and placed a comforting hand on Sienna’s shoulder, "Sienna. Darling. Calm down. Your father’s condition..."

"My. Father. Is. Dead!"

Sienna scread so loudly that everyone present in the room nearly jumped out of their skin, "You people can’t bury him without fulfilling his last wish!"

Dr. Greyson slowly turned to Mariana with a deep frown, "Mrs. Mason... was Mr. Mason registered as an organ donor?"

"N...no..." Mariana stamred.

"Yes, he was..." Sienna sobbed, cutting Mariana, "He... he told himself."

The situation was supposed to be serious for Hunter, but he found it sowhat hilarious. Ruby and Mariana seed pale.

Dr. Greyson looked like he could have a heart attack any minute.

Only his wife seed to be in real pain by George’s death. But now he doubted that as well. There was sothing fishy, and he couldn’t place his finger on it.

Interesting.

"Papa... wanted to help people," He frowned when he heard his wife’s crying voice, "He always said rich people waste everything after death, while poor people die waiting for organs..."

She then snapped up her head as if rembering sothing, "Organ donation has a ti limit."

Ruby whipped her head towards Greyson, "Doctor!"

"What doctor?" Sienna looked at Ruby in disbelief, "You want to ignore Papa’s dying wish?"

"No, that’s not what I ant..."

"Then what’s the issue?" Sienna cried again.

Mariana held Ruby’s wrist tightly. Her fingers were ice cold.

Hunter was growing impatient with all the drama, he finally stepped forward, "I think my wife is right," He spoke coldly, "A man’s final wish should be respected."

Ruby glared at him for adding fuel to the fire. Mariana forced a trembling smile, "Hunter... this is a family matter."

"So, Sienna and George weren’t family, Mrs. Mason? Is it because she’s adopted?"

Sienna wanted to quit crying and hug him tight. The way he was fighting for her with her family. Wow!

The last night popped up in her head, but she quickly pushed it back.

Behave yourself!

She scolded herself quietly.

"We can’t do anything without a docunt," Greyson, at last, stated after clearing his throat, "Sienna. Bring the docunt within two hours so that we can start the procedure."

Sienna wiped her face with the back of her hand and nodded. Her eyes were now swollen, and she wanted to take a nap after this breakthrough performance.

I can easily give so competition to the top actresses.

Her lips were about to spread into a smile, but then she had to remind herself in ti to be careful.

She raised her eyes and found Hunter looking at her carefully.

Oh, shit!

She made a pout of her trembling lips and went to him for a hug. As expected, he wrapped his arms around her body.

She needed to send a ssage to Lina to bring the docunt that they had already prepared in advance.

"What are we supposed to do now?" Mariana was pacing in Dr. Greyson’s office with one hand on her forehead.

Ruby and Greyson were seated with panic written all over their faces. Poor Greyson. His head dropped into his hands as he thought hard.

"Why don’t you speak sothing?" Mariana slapped her hands on the desk, making both of them jerk in fright.

"Mama..." Ruby tried to ignore the sharp headache that was not allowing her to think clearly, "Please... relax."

"You must be out of your fu*cking mind!" Mariana roared, and Ruby closed her eyes in irritation. Mariana was never a screaming kind of woman, but now Sienna’s drama had changed her personality.

"Mrs. Mason. She is right. You need to relax," When Mariana opened her mouth to argue, Greyson raised his hand to stop her from speaking, "If George had made any kind of commitnt, then we won’t be able to do anything."

"But ..."

"George should have told us before we went ahead with his idea. Now we can’t do anything."

"But George never signed any such docunt."

"Then it ans Sienna won’t be able to present anything. Easy peasy," He tried to laugh it off, but then stopped himself when Mariana passed him a deathly glare.

Mariana rounded the desk and held his collars in a deathly grip, taking both of them by surprise.

"Mom!" Ruby was on her feet with a gasp.

"Mrs. Mason," Dr. Greyson didn’t know she was such a strong woman.

"I. Want. My. Husband. Alive!" Marina shook him with full strength and raised her hand to slap him.

"No, Mom," Ruby was on her side to free Dr. Greyson’s collar, but then Mariana decided to hold his hair and clenched them into her fists.

The poor man was already bald, with only a little hair left on the sides of his head.

"Mrs. Mason. Please don’t do this... Sienna will not present any such docunt. Please wait for her..."

Mariana didn’t leave his hair. Greyson looked like a frightened potato fighting for his survival.

"Mom, stop!"

Marian had gone hysterical. Right then, the office door opened, and Sienna stepped in. Hunter followed her inside the room.

She blinked at them in confusion.

Mariana suddenly straightened and tried to act as if nothing had happened.

"Mom was upset," Ruby whispered, trying to avoid eye contact, "Because of Papa’s death."

With a shrug, Sienna walked towards the desk and placed a file in front of the doctor.

"Papa’s consent papers for organ donation."

Silence!

Mariana and Ruby felt like they could collapse on the floor any second.
