Ruby didn’t want to sound desperate, but she badly wanted Tom’s attention. Tonight, she didn’t bother to wear anything and waited for him in his bedroom.
She didn’t want to give up without a fight.

She mumbled and wrapped a shawl around her. She lay on the bed, resting her head on the pillow. This life was supposed to be so much better than the previous one.
However, everything was turning into chaos. This ti, she was richer than Sienna, but sohow, in this life, Hunter was giving attention to his wife.

Ruby tried to hide the disappointnt when she saw Lara glued to him. They both froze in the doorway when they saw Ruby, standing nak*ed in the middle of the room.
"What are you doing here?" Lara barely tried to mask the bitter edge in her voice, "Leave us alone!"
Ruby kept chewing her lower lip, waiting for Tom to say sothing. When he didn’t speak, she rolled her eyes and picked up her shawl, "Fine. Enjoy you two!"
Yet when she walked past them, she was taken aback when Tom held her wrist quickly.
"Stay!" He commanded her and passed a warning glare to Lara.
"Seriously? Then why did you bring here?" Ruby tried to hold back her smile when the bitch started throwing tantrums.
"Go!" Tom said icily and then gave a slight push to Lara’s shoulder. Lara stomped her feet and spun around to leave.
She wanted to open her mouth, maybe to throw insults, but before that, the door of the room was already closed.
"Well!" Tom smiled as he started unbuttoning his shirt, "Why did nobody ever tell that my wife is so beautiful?"
His gaze was traveling on her body, assessing her every curve. Ruby suddenly felt hot... and felt wanted... and se*xy.

"Get inside!" He ordered her. Ruby was still bewildered. What had gotten into him?
"W...What?"
"I said, go inside!" This ti, he repeated in irritation, "Or are you planning to stain my whole damn house?"
Ruby was more confused.
Stain his house? What did he an?
Once she stepped into the bathroom, he closed the door behind her and locked it from the outside.
"What the..." Ruby turned and knocked at the door, "Tom... What happened. Please... Open the door..."
It looked like he had already left.
Suddenly, tears welled up in her eyes.
The disrespect, the hurt. Everything got unbearable.
She slid against the door and sat on the cold tiled floor. God! She felt cold and didn’t have anything to cover herself.
"Maybe a towel would do..." She said, controlling her tears.
After wiping her face, she took the towel off the hook, and that was when she felt sothing trickling down her thigh.
She looked down and was horrified to find blood. She had gotten her period. Now everything made sense.
In the past life, Tom had told her clearly never to co closer if she was on her period. She never expected him to react so badly.
"Asshole!" She scread and then wrapped the huge towel around her body, kicking the toilet seat, "Ouch!"
Ignoring the pain in her toenail, she sat on the floor and hid her face in her arms.

But no. She did notice the twinkle in Tom’s eyes tonight— the sa way he used to look at her when he was married to Sienna.
"I ... I won’t give up this easily..." She tightened her arms around her body, "He is the only person who can help survive. This ti, Sienna will be a loser, and I’ll be an achiever."
She yawned loudly and heard so noise coming from a distance.

Ruby ignored it all. She didn’t want to dwell on her past mistakes and chose to focus on her future.
"Yes! That’s the spirit, girl!" She praised herself with a chuckle as she lay on the cold bathroom floor that felt freezing against her cheek.
"Everything will be alright, Ruby," She told herself, "Tom will not only notice you but will fall for you. Tomorrow, when you’ll be out, just... have a good serving of French toast along with so vanilla ice cream and plan. You’re no longer a poor girl who can’t afford a damn French toast."
Poor her.
She didn’t know that she was not locked in the bathroom for only one night. It was a week-long punishnt.
For the next seven days, she would eat, sleep, and spend all of her ti there.
