"Aren’t you —" Alia couldn’t form the words.
It was nightti and pouring heavily when she had t him. He was drenched from head to toe with his face contorted from the pain, and thus, she wasn’t sure if he was the sa man she had t.
"Kyle Sterling," He said.
"Hmm?" Alia asked, a little surprised when he said the word.
"My na, sweetheart. Kyle Sterling," He said again, repeating every syllable slowly, as if wanting her to engrave those words in her mind.
Kyle Sterling? Why did this na sound so familiar to her?
Where had she heard the na? Alia racked her brain to see if she rembered encountering him in her past life.
It didn’t seem like the case, but... and then it struck her. Kyle Sterling? The rogue head?
As if he knew what exactly she was thinking, the man dipped his head until he was face to face with her before he smiled.
He wiped the blood from the corner of her lips.
"I am sorry you suffered under my watch, under my people," He said before he placed his forehead on hers.
"Forgive for this sin, my lord," He whispered softly before he stood straight.
All the softness he showed Alia evaporated in thin air, like it was never there, and was replaced by a fire in his eyes.
He turned and looked at the three rogues.
"Boss, sir, leader, we... we didn’t know she was your woman. He... no... she...yes, she is the one who brought this woman, I an your woman here. This vile girl gave sothing to your woman and assured us she won’t be able to scream and that we should rape her so she could film a video," The remaining rogue said as he pointed to Alexia.
Alexia suddenly realised the turn of the tables on her and shook her head.
Her sins were laid in front of her, and as shaful as she was of them, she had never thought it would bite her back so early.
Kyle tilted his head and looked at the three rogues.
One had a large cut on his face that Alia made, sothing he was proud of. He had also cut the hand of the rogue who was about to touch her. The one trying to crawl away was the only one left unwounded.
He used his supernatural powers and reached the rogue in the blink of an eyes.
Before they could realise what was happening, the man stood there with the rogue’s heart in his hands.
"I don’t like the charter," Kyle said before he walked back to Alia, throwing the heart away as if it were nothing.
He wiped his hands on his handkerchief before pulling her out of the room.
"Let’s take you to the infirmary first and get you treated. I will deal with them later," Kyle said, lifting her bridal style and resting her head on his chest.
With a sigh, he looked down at the woman who saved his life when everyone abandoned him and left him to die, and vowed always to protect her.
As soon as they left, Sparrow, who found out where Alexia took her, rushed to the sight when he slled the blood.
As soon as he entered the room, he was t with a grotesque sight, and he gritted his teeth when his gaze landed on Alexia, who looked too shocked to move.
"What happened here? Where is Alia?" Sparrow asked without rcy.
Alexia flinched at the sharpness in his voice. Under normal circumstances, the man would’ve softened his voice for a woman, but after seeing what she did, he held no rcy for her.
"I am asking you a damned question! Where is Alia?" The man roared and grabbed the girl’s hand before pulling her out of the room.
The security guard inford the authorities when he noticed the matter was related to the rogues, as it wasn’t limited to his negligence anymore.
When the principal heard that one more incident had happened at the University within two weeks, this ti with the sa student who had involved the royals last ti, he almost felt like fainting.
Without delay, everyone rushed to the building, still keeping the news from the students so they wouldn’t panic or cause Havoc. The other buildings were study points for many alphas, and they wouldn’t allow this issue to pass smoothly.
Alexia sat before the head of the University along with Sparrow.
"Excuse , sir. But who are you?" The voice principal asked Sparrow if he had seen an unfamiliar face in the room.
Sparrow wasn’t in any mood to waste ti on shitty things. All he wanted to know was where his princess went because Alexia wasn’t speaking, and there was no surveillance in the rogue’s building, making him even angrier.
"This should do," Sparrow nearly slamd the seal on the table before then, and the principal gulped.
He had thought to settle the matter silently by talking to the girl, but it looked like the royals were once again involved. This also hinted that the healer Alia might have a connection with the royals.
Could it be because she was healing soone from the royals, and that’s why she was under constant surveillance from them? It made sense.
"I think now is the ti to speak, student Alexia. If you don’t speak now, execution will be the only option left after what you did," The principal said to threaten Alexia, and the girl started crying.
She apologized repeatedly for letting her anger take over and for doing sothing so heinous.
She wanted to repent for her mistake and apologise to Alia if given a chance.
Sparrow was losing his patience, and the principal could see it too.
"First, tell us who took Alia?" he asked directly.
Alexia shook her head.
"I don’t know. A man arrived and saved her. He even killed one of the rogues. He looked like one of them, like a rogue, but more dangerous. I don’t know his na. He had curly hair and hazel eyes, around 6’4" tall and–"
Alexia hesitated, unsure if Sparrow would like to hear that he took her bridal style since the man looked obsessed with Alia.
The principal realised who she was talking about and froze.
Kyle Sterling. The rogue head studying in the university silently without making any noise chose to intervene today, especially today, when it involved royalty.
Could this get worse than before?
"I think he took her to get treated," Alexia said.
Sparrow asked the principal where the nearest infirmary was and quickly reached it to check on his princess.
By the ti he reached there, she was lying on the bed all alone, the doctor sitting at so distance and watching over her as she slept the dicine off.
Seeing her wrapped in bandages and rembering what the rogue who was conscious told them had happened and how she had made herself bleed to stay mindful and fight the rogues, made his heart ache.
It was all because of him. Nothing like this would’ve happened if he hadn’t gone on a break. He should be severely punished.
Tears welled in his eyes when he saw her pale face.
He failed at his job. He squared his jaws before ssaging Fabian.
"Prepare an execution for . I don’t deserve to live anymore," He ssaged.
