Miss Quinn walked to the room and told Alia she could co out.
Alia smiled sheepishly.
She wanted King Cyrus to be the first to see her when she dressed up for the birthday party.
It was the first ti she had dressed up for an occasion. She was used to taking and wearing worn-out or rejected clothes from Hannah. Thus, she was pleased today.
"Is he in the hall?" Alia asked.
Miss Quinn relented in the girl’s hopeful expression and smiled before nodding.
Cyrus, who returned from the eting and didn’t know why Miss Quinn asked him to wait in the hall of their palace, raised his brows when he heard her voice.
His lips twitched at the giddiness in her voice.
Honestly, he thought that living with this healer girl would be helpful, and he was kind of glad that she loved soone else and would run away. That way, he could kill two birds with one stone.
He wouldn’t have to live with a healer and could accuse them simultaneously.
But for so reason, Alia made living with a healer bearable. His conceptions about healers were turning into misconceptions, and it was all thanks to one girl who was probably too naive for this world.
He gazed at the stairs, where he saw the girl standing excitedly.
There was a slight nervous smile on her face, and his heart fluttered.
She was wearing a simple, peace-colored dress with bell-shaped long sleeves. As always, she wore translucent white stockings under the dress.
The nude colored small heels made her look cute. His gaze shifted to the crystal pink beads on her ears, and he noticed her empty neck.
She walked to him and took a deep breath.
"Do I look okay?" She asked.
Beautiful, he wanted to say. But he didn’t want her to think he was already falling into her traps, so he barely nodded.
"Good," He said.
Alia smiled at the small complint nonetheless.
"I am glad you like ," Alia said.
Cyrus raised his brows at her way of twisting the words, but didn’t correct her.
Her empty neck irked him, and he furrowed his brows before he looked at the ancient locket around his neck.
He removed the locket and placed it on her neck, making his subordinates gasp.
It was the sa ancient locket their forr king Sebastian gave to their King Cyrus.
Did their king just indirectly indicate that he accepted their princess? A happy smile appeared on everyone’s face as they looked at the duo.
"You are a princess. Do you want everyone to think we are frugal and won’t give you a necklace?" Cyrus said.
Alia looked at the beautiful locket that had a blue and erald design and looked up at her husband.
"If it bothers you, I can get another locket," she said.
"This is okay," Cyrus said, leaving no room for any discussion.
"Let’s go," Cyrus extended his hand.
Alia placed her hand on his, her heart beating when he clasped his fingers around her.
"Will you be joining the party with ?" Alia asked.
Cyrus, leading her outside, shook his head.
"I have a eting in another city and will follow the sa path and drop you at the party. Will two hours be enough for you to enjoy? Fabian will pick you up when you return," Cyrus said.
Alia nodded. It was a good decision, and they could save so fuel simultaneously.
Cyrus and Alia sat in the car to leave for the Ashborn pack.
The ride to the pack was full of silence, both engrossed in their thoughts. While one was thinking about different ways to cure Luna Camila, the other considered how to make Dominic pay for what he had tried again.
"Be good," Cyrus said to Alia once they reached the pack.
"Mm, okay," Alia said before she exited the car.
She stood at the borders of the Ashborn pack and showed her invitation to the pack guards.
"Miss Alia, there is no need to show the invitation. You are our esteed guest," the security guard who had been seeing her coming to the pack for a couple of days smiled.
Alia nodded gratefully as she walked into the pack.
The distance from the border to the pack house was quite good, and she felt a little uncomfortable walking in heels.
As she was walking, a car stopped beside her and she turned to see who it was.
"Alia, why are you walking? Don’t tell that monster couldn’t even afford to send a car for you and you hailed a taxi here," Hannah’s voice was concerned, but Alia could feel the underlying mockery in her tone.
She could’ve corrected her sister, but didn’t want to ruin her mood by barking up the wrong tree. Alia smiled politely.
"You look beautiful, sister," Alia said.
Seeing how the girl didn’t defend or say anything that could make her continue the topic further, Hannah pouted.
"Co sit in the car. We will take you to the pack house," she said.
Alia’s gaze t Alpha Killian’s, who unlocked the car for her.
As much as walking was killing her, she didn’t want to go in the sa car as them. She was here to enjoy herself, and sitting in that car would an hearing Hannah yapping about how tough life is for her when she is living the best life out there.
Alia smiled politely again.
"Thank you for the offer, sister. But I feel like–" She couldn’t finish her sentence when another car stopped to her left.
"Hey, what took you so long? How long have we waited? Ryan was minutes away from driving to your place and dragging your ass here," Alpha Zane said, earning a smack from Luna Jennifer who chuckled awkwardly.
"Alia, please don’t mind my mate’s rude remark. He doesn’t know how to talk to a girl. Let’s go. Ryan has been looking for you. We went out to get so beer," Jennifer said, and Alia chuckled at them.
She turned to her sister before nodding at her.
"You have quite a big dress on you, sister. I don’t want to take up space. Let’s et at the party," Alia said, sitting inside Jennifer’s car before leaving.
Hannah looked at the leaving car with a bitter expression.
Not only was she ignoring her and creating trouble for her, but Alia dared to have new friends? It was unacceptable! She gritted her teeth, hoping Lunar Ball would soon arrive where she would play her trump card.
