In the caves of the hidden mountains, where the mages always had their usual eting before the mage’s stone, everyone was silent, waiting for their leader to arrive.

Scarlett arrived a few minutes later, her eyes challenging and unpredictable.

The less powerful mages bowed to her in respect, not daring to look into her blazing violet eyes. Her aura scread danger.

Sothing had happened. And they could feel it through their suppressed energies.

"What’s wrong, Scarlett? Why did you call this urgent eting?" Arnold asked, reaching there just in ti.

Scarlett sat on the stone, crossing her legs, the cloak collecting near her feet as she raised her head and removed her hood.

"Sothing had changed. I think sothing is wrong with Alia," Scarlett said.

Arnold narrowed his eyes for a brief second before he sighed.

He couldn’t help but shake his head at his wife’s words. He had placed a dragon’s blood pendant on his daughter for a reason. If there had been anything wrong, he would’ve known.

Scarlett was probably making up things to go and et her daughter. She has been doing this ever since she discovered that he had t her alone, and she wasn’t allowed to do the sa.

"Scarlett, I know you want to see Alia and verify whether her powers are awakening correctly, but you know you can’t go there. Those powers, born—" Arnold stopped speaking before everyone.

Those powers inside Alia, born from you, will recognize you and try to co out urgently, disbalancing everything and risking Alia’s life. You know we can’t risk it. Giselle told us that if we want to keep our daughter alive, we need to stay as far away as possible. Arnold said the rest of the words through the mind link.

Scarlett’s eyes brimd with tears that she quickly blinked away.

What kind of cursed fate was it that even after being a mother, she wasn’t allowed to et her daughter for so many years? She took a deep, shaky breath before shaking her head at Arnold.

"It’s not about eting her, Arnold. When I say sothing has changed, I’m referring to the air we breathe and the elents we all feel. Haven’t you felt it? The energy surging in our veins has beco more prominent. That’s the purpose of this eting. I want to know if anyone else felt it," Scarlett said.

Arnold nodded in understanding. Now that he thought about it, he had indeed been feeling a weird surge of energy inside him. He wanted to touch it, use the magic to perform ancient rituals, and see if his ancient magic was back. However, he was afraid of losing it all before he could do anything, and thus, he didn’t try it.

"Maybe that’s because Alia is—" Arnold started speaking as he started walking towards the mage stone.

However, sothing made him stop dead in his tracks.

"What is it?" Scarlett stood up from the stone when she saw Arnold’s surprised expression.

Arnold walked to the mage’s stone and touched the end crack of it.

This wasn’t how the crack was supposed to be. Why was it so uneven?

He had been looking at this stone for decades and knew sothing was wrong.

"Soone tampered with the stone," Arnold said before he closed his eyes.

"Let see the tilines of this stone," Arnold said.

Scarlett shook her head.

"That’s dangerous. You can’t use magic on the stone. You know that." Scarlett said.

"I will have to see, or we will never know," Arnold said, before placing his hand on the stone and navigating its tiline for the last five days they hadn’t visited to observe it.

He couldn’t see who it was, but he saw more than half of the stone healing and then soone reversing it.

"Soone indeed tampered with it. The stone had healed more than half and—" Arnold felt a deep rumbling coming out of the magic stone.

His whole body started feeling the vibration, compelling him to open his eyes.

He gulped and looked around, noticing he wasn’t the only one getting affected by the vibrations.

"What’s happening?" one of the mages asked.

Scarlett raised her hand and used her magic to stabilize everything so no one would panic, especially the new mages who had no magic at all.

However, no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t contain the vibrations.

"Arnold, you were saying sothing. Could it be related to that?" Scarlett asked.

Arnold opened his mouth to answer, but stopped when the mage stone started rumbling as if feeling so kind of inner disaster.

The mage stone started rising in the air, and everyone watched it in awe as it glowed in white, shimring light.

Arnold’s pupils dilated as his heart skipped a beat.

"The Moon powers have arrived," he whispered, as they all witnessed the stone’s cracks healing before their eyes, like a magical ritual.

The more the stone healed, the more their powers were returning, and they could feel the shimring light engulfing them all.

Not only them, but all the mages of the clan, wherever they were, felt the white shimring light engulfing them. It was like lifting a centuries-old curse from their body, and though the process was like pins and needles prickling their body, it was beyond amazing.

Arnold walked to his wife and held her hand, intertwining his fingers with hers.

"Our daughter did it. She has awakened her powers." Arnold placed his forehead on hers, and Scarlett nodded.

She was delighted, not only because the powers of their entire clan were back, but because she would be able to et her daughter now.

Hot tears of happiness rolled down her cheeks, and she giggled softly.

"We need to find who tampered with the stone to hide this from us, too. She started gaining her powers a couple of days ago. That person is soone who knows us," Arnold said, and Scarlett nodded again.

"We need to do that." She whispered.

In the Moon Healing hospital, Alia lay on the hospital bed, her face calm, but no one knew the struggle she was facing deep inside her heart, in her mind, where she felt trapped in a realm where she tried to reach so kind of white light that she couldn’t.

She walked into a peculiar forest where the trees were strangely colorful, so green, so red, and so even violet.

Hello? She asked in the forest, hoping to et anyone or see anyone who could help her out of here.

You did it. A soft voice ca from behind her.

Alia turned to look at the person, a beautiful lady shimring in white light and floating in the air.

She couldn’t see her face properly, but she knew the lady was beyond beautiful; her aura scread of her purity.

I don’t understand. Alia said.

You unlocked the mage’s powers and gave that cult what was taken away from them. You did my work. Your work is done now. The lady said.

Alia’s heart skipped a beat. What did the lady an by her work? And who was this lady in the first place? She rembered she had talked to a different light before she had been reborn.

If her work was done... Did that an... Alia’s fists clenched.

As if the lady understood the turmoil in her heart, she smiled.

You are not dying, Alia. I would never do that to you. You are my child, the beholder of one of my favorite children inside you. How could I? Take care of my moon. And rember, good always wins over evil. I am proud of you. The lady said.

But who are you? What do you an, I— Alia couldn’t complete her sentence because the lady vanished into thin air, leaving Alia alone.

"My love, please wake up. There are so many things we need to talk about. There are so many things I want to show you. I am not even mad about why you didn’t participate. Now I know. Please just look at once," Cyrus’s pleading voice reached her ears.

Alia wanted to open her eyes, but it was as if sothing heavy was pressing on her eyelids, making it impossible for her to open her eyes before she slipped into unconsciousness once again.
