"You are wounded, Alia." Caron’s words caught Alia’s attention, and she looked at her hands, from where a trail of blood was rolling down her sleeves.
Her gaze was blank, as if she wasn’t looking at her blood but soone else’s, like it wasn’t hurting her back with excruciating pain.
"I guess," She said.
Rather than walking to the laboratory like she wanted, she walked to the infirmary instead.
The familiar doctor who had treated her earlier looked at her with raised brows.
"What is it this ti?" He asked.
The doctor has a faint smile, and Alia found it a little peculiar.
Even though it was a familiar face, why did it feel like this person wasn’t the man who treated her last ti?
"My back," she didn’t explain further.
The doctor nodded and asked her to sit on the stool.
As she sat on the stool, the doctor brought the first aid box.
"You’ll have to take off your top or allow to cut part of that cloth," The doctor said professionally.
"Cut the top. I’ll ask soone to deliver a new one for ," Alia said.
The doctor didn’t say anything further.
Alia then pulled out her phone and ssaged Luna Jennifer about her situation, also asking her not to speak about the matter to anyone else.
It wasn’t long before Jennifer rushed to the infirmary with the spare top that she kept in her locker.
"What happened?" She asked.
Caron, who gave Ethan a call about what he saw Alia doing and walked to the infirmary, stopped behind the curtain and explained to Jennifer what exactly happened.
The doctor, who had been preparing the cotton swabs and had cut the top from behind a little, paused at Caron’s words.
"I’ll start now," the doctor said so that the girl wouldn’t get startled by the sudden touch.
As soon as the doctor’s hands touched her back, the mark on her wrists ran cold.
It was a rare contrast to all the burning and pain she constantly felt whenever sothing was wrong around her.
Sothing was wrong. Wrong.
It was almost as if her body wasn’t touched by a species she was familiar with, but a possession that ran deep into her body and tried to pry into her soul.
The coldness ran deep into her bones. A voice suddenly pricked her brain and urged her to react.
Do anything, just not sit here and let the man touch her.
Without wasting her ti, she whipped her head and turned around, holding the man’s hand in a tight grip.
"What’s wrong, student Alia?" the doctor asked.
Luna, Jennifer, and Caron, who were on the other side of the curtains, furrowed their brows.
"Is sothing wrong, Alia? I am coming," Jennifer said.
Alia shook her head before realising she couldn’t see her.
"No. It’s alright. Please stay there. I am a little embarrassed," Alia said with an awkward laugh to support her words.
Luna Jennifer chuckled at her words.
"You should think about it before getting into trouble. Get it done soon before the triplet alphas co, or worse, the principal hears of it. Don’t you want to keep silent about it? Though I don’t understand why these attacks keep happening," Luna Jennifer said.
Alia didn’t say a word.
Caron, who knew that not many people knew Alia wasn’t just a normal student and healer but the wife of the future werewolf King, pressed his lips into a thin line, barely keeping his mouth closed.
He almost felt like he knew sothing illegal that he needed to protect from the world to keep his head intact on his body.
"We are here. Don’t panic," Caron said, trying his best to encourage comforting words when his head was rolling on about how that man died before Alia, the way he killed himself, and then the lightning struck him, like it was a punishnt from the heavens.
Alia, on the other hand, looked at the doctor, her eyes dark and her brows furrowed.
"Till when are you going to keep your facade?" She asked, more like hissed, so Jennifer and Caron wouldn’t hear her.
The doctor feigned a confused expression.
"Student Alia—" he started, but before he could complete his sentence, Alia grabbed his hand and yanked his sleeves up, tearing the fabric in the process.
A dark mark, resembling an inverted trident, was present on the doctor’s hand, and Alia’s pupils dilated as she looked up at the man again.
She had been reading a couple of books on the rituals, demons, possessions, vampires, and werewolves’ legacy after that ancient-looking woman had shown her those visions.
And according to what she rembered from the history book on the possessions, this kind of mark only ant one thing...
"How dare you show your face here?" Alia seethed.
The doctor, who had been feigning a fake expression, suddenly smirked.
She looked into his amber eyes, which suddenly turned green, not just a bright, pure green, but sothing dirty, like a mixture of a gray hue that ant evil and negativity.
The man before her sneered before leaning back in his seat.
He freed his hand from her grip before bringing that hand close to his mouth.
Sticking his tongue out slightly, he licked the blood on his hand, the blood that belonged to Alia.
Alia’s pupils dilated at the little action, and she gulped.
"Y-you–" She stuttered, not raising her voice, afraid Jennifer and Caron would interfere and she wouldn’t be able to find what this person’s purpose was.
"What? You have clearly forgotten about . It took you so long to realise I have been around you. You have no idea how many people I had to possess for you to notice ," The person said.
Alia didn’t react. She didn’t say anything.
Though his lips were moving, no sound ca out of his mouth. Strangely, she was hearing all those words directly in her head, strengthening her suspicion even more.
"Why?" She asked after so ti.
The person smirked at her.
"Why? I wanted to let you know that you’re back. I am back too. The history is repeating itself, Miss A- Alia. You couldn’t stop then, you wouldn’t make a difference this ti either." The doctor stood from his place before leaning and grabbing Alia’s chin.
"I promised your bloodline, didn’t I? I am a haunted possession that would taint and scar your bloodline till the end of eternity. Will you be able to save the day this ti?" The doctor asked.
Alia’s eyes darkened further, and the sa golden glow emanated from her pupils. She raised her hand and grabbed the man’s hand, placing her fingers directly where the mark was.
The person looked at her with his pupils dilated.
Alia’s powers surged as she started taking Mana from him.
"You–" he stuttered, and before Alia could react, he was gone.
The doctor, utterly oblivious to what was going on, slumped in his seat, his eyes turning back to amber.
Alia knew that the possession was gone. But it didn’t an it wouldn’t return.
What the hell was this all about? What did it an when he said he ruined her once before? Was it related to her past life, where she lost and plumted to her death?
"Student Alia?" The doctor looked at her, confused.
Why was the student sitting before her with her half top gone? When did he arrive here? What was going on?
His head hurt terribly, and he grabbed it between his hands.
"You were cleaning my wound, doctor. Are you okay?" Alia feigned innocence, like she didn’t know anything either.
"Is that so? I’ll get onto it. I don’t know why I don’t rember anything," The doctor murmured the last sentence, urging Alia to turn around.
Alia smiled at the doctor, her smile vanishing as soon as she faced the other side.
She needed to find soone to tell her what exactly was going on.
eting the sa woman who had shown her the vision was a hard chance. She didn’t know how to contact her, but there had to be soone who could help her.
And for that, she might need to take help from Cyrus, or probably Kyle.
The thought made her sigh loudly.
"Done," the doctor said once her wound was bandaged correctly.
"Thank you," Alia said before she walked out and took the top from Jennifer, changing into it in the ladies’ washroom.
Once she was done, she looked at Caron, who looked like he had hundreds of questions, but she wasn’t ready to answer even one.
"I’ll talk to Ethan when he’s here tomorrow," Alia said before she turned and left, leaving a speechless Caron, who didn’t know what to say.
