The runes shimred faintly to contain the power of the two prodigies. Many of the spectators commoners and nobles alike rose in tiers, packed with students from the other years, instructors and also dignitaries all silent as if the whole academy held it’s breath.

And at the very center of the arena stood two figures.

Adam stood in the polished obsidian floor, his silver hair falling to his shoulders, strands of violet glimring faintly as though the cosmos itself had threaded through him. The air around Adam bent and wavered like beat haze, but colder than reality itself twisting in his presence.

Across him stood Grace Amberfrost, her fiery red hair blazed as if it were afla, her aura a furious cyclone of fire and wind. The head heat shimred off her body, marble tiled beneath her already scorched black. Her golden eyes shone with pride and wrath, locking on him as though she was already claiming victory.

"You think your cold space can be able to smother my flas?" She shouted, her voice carried on a rushing gust "I will through everything,.your defenses, your pride and my destiny!!"

Adams gaze was steady, violet strands glowing brighter. "Your flas can burn bright, but they costu themselves like you do, but space has no end. That’s why you have already lost"

Gasps have rippled through the stands, the duel in question hasn’t even begun, and already the tension pressed down like a storm.

"Begin!!"

Grace struck first.

Flas spiraled upward from her hands caught in cyclonic winds, before plunging forward as a whirling torrent. Fire shaped into blades, slashing through the arena floor as they rushed Adam.

Adam stepped forward and the crowd blinked and in one instant, he was already there; the next, gone.

Space folded around him, and his body slipped through reality, reappearing several places to the left.

The flaming blades smashed into a violent explosion that rattled the runes holding the arena together.

Adam raised his hand, violet light condensing around his fingertips, a single slash of warped space cut forward, silent, invisible until the stkne floor cracked under in it’s wake.

Grace twisted, her flas coiling into a shield around her, his void strike carved through the fire, distorting the air itself but she then forced it back with a roar.

"Is that all?!" She mocked, he voice with defiance.

Grace’s flas gathered again, this fims forming into serpents with snapping jaws. They whipped through the air, hissing as they darted for him.

Adam raised his hand, Violet light condensing as his fingertips, a single slash of a warped space cut forward silent, invisible until the stone floor.

Her flas gathered and forming into serpents that’s went towards Adam.

His figure moved as the space around him ripplef in a single strike the flas dispersed and vanished.

Grace’s face tightened, though her eyes still blazed with determination. "So you can bend the world around you. The I’ll burn the eye air around your twist!"

Grace stomped the floor, and firestorms surged forward. They rged into blazing dragon forms, their wings whipped alive by her wid, their roars shacking the arena.

Adam lifted his palm, a violet rippled spread out, and the dragon’s convulsed, gravity s pulled at their forms, flas warping violently before each beat imploded collapsing into shard of light that vanished into nothing.

The destruction rattled the stands, dust rained down from the do as the crowd shielded their eyes from the blinding light.

Her golden eyes narrowed. "Then let’s see you consu this!"
