Tian Sangsang was slightly surprised. Air—she had heard of this magazine before. It was the leading fashion magazine in Hong Kong in later years. This magazine was founded in the 1970s and focused on won’s fashion. Its content included famous-brand clothing, shoes, handbags, costics, jewelry designs, and interviews with fashion enthusiasts. She never expected soone from Air to approach her for an interview, which caught her quite off guard.
"Hello." Tian Sangsang shook his hand back with a smile and said, "It’s an honor for my shop to be considered for an interview by your magazine. I’ve read about your publication; it stays at the forefront of the tis, exuding a keen sense of fashion and devoted to enhancing won’s fashion tastes." Not to ntion, this magazine was even sold internationally in Europe.
Jiang Jinghuai’s gaze fell on their clasped hands, his eyes darkening slightly. He struggled to suppress the urge to throw the man out.
"Yes, yes. As expected of soone in the fashion industry, Tian Sangsang has a broad vision," the editor said, feeling a strong gaze on him. Nervously swallowing, he quickly released Tian Sangsang’s hand. He thought, this man was very likely Tian Sangsang’s husband.
Of course, the editor was even more shocked that Tian Sangsang had read their magazine, making his introduction unnecessary. He needed soone already knowledgeable about fashion as an interviewee.
The editor said, "Ms. Tian, your shop, YanShi, sells exceptionally well here in Hong Kong. Many upper-class clientele are quite interested in your Yi Pin Xiang Ju. If your shop is willing to accept an interview, I’d like to ask you a few questions and have you introduce so of your best-selling products. I will also take so photos for the magazine."
Why not agree to such an opportunity? It was like opening another channel while boosting Yi Pin Xiang Ju’s exposure.
Moreover, since they weren’t charging any ad fees, Tian Sangsang had no reason to refuse.
She showed the editor so of the shop’s products. He took photos, learned about the product features, and made notes. Throughout, Jiang Jinghuai stayed by her side, while Guan Kunling hosted other custors.
Custors noticed soone taking photos with a cara and quietly asked Guan Kunling about it. Kunling explained honestly. When they learned that Yi Pin Xiang Ju was going to be featured in a magazine, their confidence in the shop soared! Seeing a favorite shop gaining attention brought them pride, didn’t it?
Introducing the products took more than thirty minutes, during which Tian Sangsang remained standing.
Finally, the editor pulled out a notebook and pen, ready to start asking questions.
Jiang Jinghuai’s deep eyes narrowed, concerned about his wife standing so long. He wondered if her back hurt.
He pressed his thin lips together and spoke, "Why don’t we all sit inside, have so tea, and talk slowly?"
Tian Sangsang, still exhilarated, didn’t feel tired at all. However, thinking the editor might be tired, she quickly said, "Yes, Mr. Chen, let’s sit inside. We can rest for a bit before continuing."
The editor didn’t decline; he was indeed feeling a bit worn out.
As Tian Sangsang walked toward the stairs, Jiang Jinghuai stopped her. Pinching her round cheek, he asked, "What are you up to again? Whatever it is, let do it. You’re pregnant; can’t stay still even while running a business."
Tian Sangsang, touched by the thought of him accompanying her earlier, felt warmth in her heart. Pulling on his arm gently, she said softly, "Thank you, dear. Now I don’t need to make another trip. Can you grab so snacks from upstairs for to serve our guest?"
Jiang Jinghuai sighed in resignation, letting her shake his arm as she pleased. In a low voice, he said, "Don’t move around. Go sit inside."
Obediently, Tian Sangsang humd in agreent, opened the curtain, and sat across from the editor.
The editor looked at her and suddenly smiled. "That man must be your husband, right? He’s quite handso—better looking than the models at our magazine!"
Tian Sangsang nodded, "Yes, he’s my husband." Indeed, Jiang Jinghuai could easily be a model.
The editor said, "He treats you well. Earlier, he was so protective, making sure you didn’t bump into anything."
Tian Sangsang chuckled. "Well, I’m pregnant. Of course, he has to be a bit more attentive."
The editor understood imdiately and gave several congratulations and blessings on the spot. So she really was pregnant, though it didn’t show much. She looked like a happy woman; her radiant complexion showed she was well cared for, and her husband obviously cherished her. The editor felt a bit ashad, thinking of his own wife. Before long, Jiang Jinghuai ca back, carrying snacks and serving tea to both guests.
The editor began with the first question, "Ms. Tian, what made you decide to open a costics shop in the first place?"
Tian Sangsang thought for a mont. Questions like this were common in interviews, and the response had to sound inspirational.
Jiang Jinghuai’s eyes glimred with interest as he looked at her, curious to know as well.
Why did she open a costics shop? Tian Sangsang’s reply was half true, half fabricated. She explained that she had been very dark-skinned as a child, enduring strange looks from others. This gave her an extraordinary obsession with becoming fair and beautiful. Once she achieved her goal, her vision expanded, and she opened a store to sell products aid at helping more won. She wanted to research and develop better costics for won, ultimately creating her own brand.
Along the way, her products were recognized by custors and solved problems related to their appearances, which brought her imnse joy.
The editor followed up, "Ms. Tian, this level of expertise—did you develop it through self-study or inherit it from your ancestors?"
Tian Sangsang replied, "There’s no family inheritance of beauty-related knowledge. I happened to et a master by chance, and she taught about skincare and beauty. Our country is rich in tradition, with beauty and wellness deeply rooted in our history. By combining the master’s teachings with both ancient and contemporary thods, I developed sothing unique to my style."
The editor then asked, "I noticed most of your products focus on skincare. Have you considered branching into makeup? Foreign costics are very popular right now."
Tian Sangsang nodded. "I’ve thought about it, but I plan to take one step at a ti. For now, the demand for makeup among our people is not very strong. When the demand rises, that will be the right ti for to launch makeup products."
The editor inquired further, "During your journey of creating skincare products, has anything left a deep impression on you?"
Glancing at Jiang Jinghuai, Tian Sangsang replied sincerely, "There are too many morable monts—for instance, my friends and my husband silently supporting and encouraging , and my custors placing their trust in . All of this keeps inspiring . I also believe in utmost honesty. If you work sincerely and maintain integrity, you’ll receive the rewards you deserve."
After a few more questions, the interview ca to an end. Tian Sangsang gifted the editor a set of skincare products, suggesting he take them ho for the won in his family to try. The editor was flattered and gladly accepted, leaving in high spirits.
