"I won't ask you what happened. I am sure you would like to mourn your wife in peace, and you would also prefer outsiders to keep their heads out of your situation. And don't worry! I won't go around spreading information about your personal life.

Mainly because I do not care or see a purpose behind it, but also because I have more important things to be worried about."

Layla assured the Viscount, and Allen felt a small smile spread across his face.

But it was not a happy smile. It was a resigned smile that one often gave to soone one did not want to talk about but had to be polite with anyway.

"I would appreciate it if you did not. If you do try to, then I will make to make you disappear."

The Viscount joked, but he instant regretted his choice of words when he felt a sudden dark aura looking his way.

"Raziel, it's fine! Mister Allen was just joking with about it. There is no need to intimidate him about it. I even find it funny when he looks at like that."

Layla assured her guard, and he quickly let the sword fall. But his eyes told the Viscount that this was not over.

"Anyway, Mister Allen, let's discuss why we are here. I would like you to start the second phase of your plan—taking over Port Osmos and rescuing it from Minister Calam's tyranny.

Whatever financial support you want, I am willing to give you."

Layla offered, and the mood suddenly shifted inside that tavern.

The rebellion did not lack mbers, but it lacked financial support. Everyone wanted to lower the prices of their goods and gain traction, but no one wanted to lose their livelihood.

Most people in the rebellion were small businesses losing their identity because Minister Calam and his big-shots sold things at double the value.

Due to this, custors who ca to the port to buy things often thought their products were low-quality and thus cheap.

It caused these people to lose many custors who could have gotten the produce at the right value.

"Kid, I don't think you know what you are discussing. We are not talking about a few gold coins here. You might need to spend thousands in just a month. Are you sure you are up to the task?"

Viscount Allen asked with an almost hopeful look in his eyes. But as soon as that look appeared, it disappeared as well. The man knew that hoping was futile.

No matter how much support this kid had, Duke Lockhart would beco suspicious if she spent that much money.

"Don't worry! I have a lot more money than you think. And it's not like you people won't be generating your profits after a while. Things will sort themselves out.

You only need to worry about carrying out your part of the plan right."

Layla assured the rebellion with a smile on her face.

They did not believe her, but they all looked hopeful. Layla took this opportunity to make her first claim.

"Your first wave of support money will arrive tomorrow. I hope it helps you out—oh, and one more thing. Keep my involvent with your fraction a secret. If my na leaks, I will make your life hell."

Viscount Allen gulped down his saliva all of a sudden.

He knew that he should not be feeling like this, especially because of a kid he did not even know, but he could not help but feel scared and agitated because of what had happened.

Sothing about Layla's looks and manner of conduct gave her threats a serious air.

"Hey, are you threatening-"

Soone spoke up, but Allen raised his hand to show he would handle this himself.

"I understand. We will keep your na and your participation out of this. From here on, you only need to provide us with support money."

The deal was done with this, but there was no written record.

Layla left the building after making sure she had everything in order.

"One thing is done, and now it's ti to take care of the next. We should destroy Minister Calam's guards before the real trouble starts. It won't be fun if the guards can suppress the rebellion before it even starts."

It was tis like these when it beca clear that Layla knew what she was doing. She had everything ready and planned out in advance.

Every ti Raziel saw this happening, he could not help but admire Layla's dedication and also felt suspicious of her.

Mary ca back around dawn, and her grin looked happy and satisfied. It made sense when she told Layla and Raziel how she had cornered the Minister, which made him a little paranoid.

The man was scared and would start making mistakes because of what had happened.

"Good! The first and second part of our plan is working beautifully. Now, we must ensure the third part goes just as well as the first two."

From tomorrow, a new wave will blow in the Port Osmos. Those who held a monopoly around this place won't be able to hold their heads high for much longer.

"I wonder how many businesses would go under because of this. We better set up deals and make use of this opportunity. I feel we could make a killer profit because of the rebellion."

Layla was about to lose a lot of money, but she also had ways to make it up. The rebellion was the pri ti for a future cri lord like her to move and get more debts under her belt.

The more businesses are affected, the more they look for ways to establish and maintain their profit. And most of these places would need a place to take out loans.

That was where Layla would co in and show she could handle these loans. Being a kid had it's advantages at tis and this was one of those tis.
