Caught on the Spot
As the sudden disconnect notification popped up, the world before Chen Zixuan's eyes instantly plunged into darkness.
The surroundings vanished, replaced instead by a space of complete nothingness.
What's going on?
Before he could panic, system Miss's tily voice rang by his ear:
"System notification: new content detected. This system will complete the update within 12 hours. Players, please do not panic. You may re-login to the ga after 12 hours. We apologize for any inconvenience."
System update?
Hearing this explanation, Chen Zixuan finally relaxed. It seed Gu Yanxi and the others were probably fine too.
However, he also keenly sensed that this sudden update was likely related to him reaching the crucial point of level 15.
He wondered what new content would be added after this ga update.

Gu Yanxi was already level 13, still using level 1 equipnt. Chen Zixuan felt rather apologetic about this.

He had promised to help Dawn's Light capture a world-class boss as a pet. Chen Zixuan always kept his word, although this boss was extrely tough, so Dawn's Light would owe him a "bit" more compensation.
The Sawtooth Demon King Crocodile's high defense really fit Dawn's Light's swordsman class; its fierce look was also a perfect match. For Chen Zixuan, getting the boss to near death wouldn't be hard—it all depended on whether Dawn's Light was capable enough to ta it.
Just as Chen Zixuan finished mapping out everything, his phone suddenly buzzed—it was a delivery he'd ordered a few days ago.

A white short skirt, incredibly cool for sumr, set off a pair of long, fair legs that were simply srizing. Gu Yanxi stood at the door, arms folded. The two locked eyes, and for a mont, the atmosphere grew awkward.
Chen Zixuan and Gu Yanxi stared at each other for two seconds. He gave her an awkward smile, treating it as a greeting, then tried to step past her to go downstairs, but was stopped by the girl who grabbed his shoulder.
In the dim hallway, Chen Zixuan remained silent, but Gu Yanxi suddenly laughed.
"I just want to ask—how long are you going to keep dodging ?"
