Reborn as the Third Prince: To Build and Conquer my way to Royalty. Chapter 87: A familiar language
There, on the wall, written in a straight line, were so strange symbols.
Sylus paid attention to it for a while, and then he looked towards the other wall, and the sa thing was written there.
’No way...’
Without saying anything, Sylus took a couple of steps back, creating just enough distance that he could fully see the very top of the cave.
Thanks to his enhanced vision, he could clearly see that the sa language was written at the very top as well.
"You have to be kidding ..." Sylus chuckled nervously.
"Is sothing wrong, my lord?" Velden turned to Sylus.
Sylus pointed at the wall, towards where the writing was, and then asked,
"Are you familiar with what is written there?"
Confused, the man turned to check.
Seeing the writing Sylus was talking about, Velden imdiately understood what Sylus was asking about.
"Oh, that. There have been people from the Mage Association who have co here to do so research on the writings. They believed it was a hidden language from the old world, when gods and demons road the earth. Though they were unfortunately never able to translate it, so they pretty much gave up on it."
’I expected as much. Though calling it the language of the old world is just plain wrong. This is Korean.’
In his forr world, he was Korean, after all—it would be a sha if he were unable to identify his own language.
However, language aside, figuring out what the ssage ant was another issue on its own.
Mainly because whatever was written there is not in order. It’s as though the characters were scattered randomly, similar to spell writing.
In other words, Sylus would have to arrange them to understand what they ant. Truly tasking.
Sylus sighed. "The Mage Association is not well-versed in all things, so I don’t necessarily bla them. I’ll figure it out myself."
"You’re going to... solve it?" Velden looked surprised.
"Yeah. Do we have any other choice?" Sylus replied. "Don’t worry about it so much, I’ll get back to you once I’m done."
Velden bowed his head. "As you wish, my lord."
"In the anti, get soone to write them out for . There should be no mistake."
Sylus ordered, before he looked at the writing once more.
’First the code, now the language—too many things are similar to my forr world. Should I just take it as a coincidence?’
He shook his head. ’Topic for another ti.’
...
Back at Thornre.
The city was still at a loss from their previous battle against the Red Vipers, many of whom were now holess.
Yiol, the current leader of Thornre, was doing everything he could to assist the people of his town.
Since there were limited resources in Thornre, they were forced to go with what they had, aning focusing on building wooden hos for the people.
Food was a different issue, but Sylus had already ordered Zani to take care of that, as well as so of the resources he had requested from his mother.
In truth, the people were willing to survive with what they had—it was simply a small price to pay to rid their lives of the Red Vipers.
Later that night, Zani made her way back to Linye, with loads of goods being brought in by multiple rows of carriages.
The people who saw this were impressed—almost shocked at the numbers.
The city had two main gates: one located in Thornre, often used by most travelers to avoid paying gate fees, and the second in Blackridge, where rchants and others ca through.
So of the goods Sylus ordered from the main capital ca through the gates at Blackridge, and the others ca directly through Thornre.
Most of the goods that passed through there were kept with the lord of the land, Yiol, and the others were kept in the main mansion, under Sylus himself.
...
Days passed, and people finally understood what the goods were for.
"Please! Everyone! Stay in line, we will get it to everyone!"
Standing behind the table were Zani, her mother, and a few other won who had chosen to help.
Arranged on the table were large pots of food in multiple locations around Thornre.
Workers who had been working nonstop to help build the town were offered food as many tis as they wanted. Although, it wasn’t only extended to just them.
There were people who had not eaten for days—seeing such an opportunity, they would by all ans not try to miss out on it.
While Zani and her mother were taking care of the hungry, Yiol handled the other products Sylus had sent to the town.
Materials for building houses, farming, blacksmithing, clothes, and even breeding animals for agriculture.
All these were shared among the people, not only to help them improve their lifestyle but also to boost the economy.
It took about a week for everything to get distributed and for progress to start showing in Thornre.
Finally, on the last day...
"Good morning, Lady Zani!"
A man carrying a shovel on his shoulder stood in front of Zani’s mother’s newly built house.
Since Zani was doing her assigned duty in Thornre, she had been spending the night at her mother’s place.
When people found out about this, they couldn’t allow it to continue. So, they built her a new ho for both her and her mother. And quite frankly, despite it being made of wood, it was still quite good in terms of quality.
After a while, Zani opened the door.
Her hair was fluffy and scattered, and around her neck was Fabi, taking the form of a necklace.
Scratching her eyes for a while, Zani now looked at the man.
"...What is it?"
"I saw this earlier on the ground, so I was wondering, where do I sign up?"
The man stretched forth a flyer towards Zani.
At first, Zani seed very uninterested, until she saw what was written on it.
Sylus was hosting an event.
