Zhou Yi took Jing Wen to a high-end Chinese restaurant. He wasn't fond of Western cuisine and couldn't be bothered with the intricate dining etiquette. When dining with Jing Wen, comfort was his top priority.

They arrived at a renowned Chinese restaurant on Huaihai Road. Zhou Yi had reserved a private room, which offered a serene and elegant dining atmosphere. Jing Wen, being a business owner herself, subtly glanced around the restaurant's decor, pondering if there were any improvents she could make to her own establishnt.

Once inside the private room, both of them relaxed.

"It was so quiet outside, I didn't dare to speak," Jing Wen said.

"Sa here. Now that we're in the private room, it's just the two of us. Let's be at ease," Zhou Yi replied.

Soon, a beautiful waitress approached with a warm smile to take their orders. Jing Wen was slightly taken aback by the prices on the nu but didn't say a word. She simply ordered a few dishes and handed the nu back to Zhou Yi.

This wasn't the ti to say, "Oh, this place is too expensive, let's go sowhere else." Since Zhou Yi had brought her here, she didn't want to spoil the mood. Besides, the waitress was right there, and saying such a thing would only embarrass Zhou Yi. Jing Wen was soone who knew how to read the situation.

After the waitress left, Zhou Yi smiled and asked, "Sister Wen, you're not telling to save money like you usually do."

Jing Wen chuckled, "Because now you have the ans, and you're doing this to make happy. Today, I'll let you take the lead."

For Jing Wen, this was her first date with Zhou Yi, and she cherished it. She wasn't going to say anything to dampen the mood.

Zhou Yi held her hand, gently rubbing it. The calluses on her hand had softened considerably.

"Sister Wen, I'll get you a mbership at a beauty salon. You can go pamper yourself whenever you're free. Seeing that your hands still have calluses makes feel bad."

Jing Wen teased, "What, Xiao Yi, are you saying I'm getting old?"

Zhou Yi kissed her hand, "Of course not. All won love to look beautiful. You've been too busy before, but now that you're your own boss and have more free ti, you should enjoy yourself. I just want you to live a more comfortable life and not overwork yourself."

Jing Wen understood what Zhou Yi ant. She leaned on his shoulder and smiled, "I know you're doing this for my good. I'll make ti for beauty treatnts and take better care of my appearance, so you'll never leave ."

Zhou Yi gently tousled her hair, "No matter what, I'll never leave you."

Jing Wen happily kissed him. She knew she was being overly sensitive, always testing Zhou Yi's feelings for her. But it was because she cared so much about him that she couldn't help but feel insecure.

Especially now that Zhou Yi had beco so successful, she couldn't afford to remain in the sa place.

"Xiao Yi, I've signed up for a training course. I'll be going out of town for a few days."

"What's it about?"

"Restaurant managent."

"Good. I'll send soone to accompany you. I'd feel uneasy if you went alone."

Jing Wen smiled helplessly, "I'm not a child anymore. Don't worry. It's a course recomnded by my forr boss, Lao Hai. It's reliable. Besides, it's good for to broaden my horizons. I can't stay the sa as before."

"Alright, let know before you go. I'll see you off."

They chatted about the training course, and Zhou Yi looked it up. It was indeed a reputable program. For Jing Wen, it was an opportunity to elevate her professional skills. Zhou Yi naturally supported her.

"I'll let you know if there are more opportunities like this. It's rare to see Sister Wen so ambitious."

"I'm just trying to keep up with you. As long as I don't fall too far behind, that's enough. You've already given the opportunity to open my own business. The rest is up to . I don't want to disappoint you, Xiao Yi."

Jing Wen's eyes were firm and sincere, and Zhou Yi understood her feelings.

After dinner, they went shopping. Zhou Yi bought clothes and jewelry for Jing Wen, and Jing Wen bought Zhou Yi a tie worth tens of thousands of dollars.

For Zhou Yi, tens of thousands wasn't much, but for Jing Wen, it was a significant gift.

Finally, they went to a lingerie store. Zhou Yi waited outside while Jing Wen went in.

When Jing Wen ca out, Zhou Yi asked what she had bought. She smiled mysteriously and whispered in his ear, "You'll find out when we get back."

Zhou Yi raised an eyebrow. It seed there was a surprise waiting for him.

They returned to Zhou Yi's ho. Jing Wen felt that the house was a bit too empty, lacking a sense of life. She decided she would buy so furniture and decorations to make it feel more lived-in.

"Sister Wen, here's a key for you. You can co anyti."

Although Zhou Yi's house had a digital lock, there was still a physical key, and the only one was given to Jing Wen.

Jing Wen initially wanted to refuse but after so thought, she accepted it.

She was overjoyed.

The woman tightly held onto the key. To her, it held a special aning.

Giving her this key was a sign of complete trust. She smiled, her eyes curving, "Alright, I'll take it. I'll buy so furniture later. Your house is too empty."

"Sure, buy whatever you like. You're welco to stay anyti."

They exchanged a smile.

Jing Wen put down her things and went to arrange the flowers Zhou Yi had given her in a vase.

"You go take a shower, Xiao Yi. I'll take care of the flowers."

Zhou Yi nodded, grabbing a towel and so clothes before heading to the bathroom.

After arranging the flowers, Jing Wen tidied up the house.

She humd a soft tune, a lodious little song reminiscent of the gentle Wu dialect from the Jiangnan region, which was quite captivating.

Zhou Yi, hearing it from the bathroom, felt a stir in his heart. He quickly finished his shower and ca out.

Zhou Yi was bare-chested, with a towel wrapped around his waist. He was drying his hair as he asked, "Sister Wen, what's that song? It sounds really nice."

"It's a little tune from my hotown. My mother used to sing it, and I learned it by heart after hearing it a few tis."

Zhou Yi leaned close to her ear, his voice low, "Would it sound even better if you sang it in bed later?"

Jing Wen bit her lip and gave him a flirtatious glance, "You're really sothing..."

Zhou Yi looked at her figure and added, "Next ti, I'll buy you so cheongsams. You'd look stunning in them."

"What kind of cheongsams? The proper ones or the improper ones?"

"Both, both."

The desire in Zhou Yi's eyes was unmistakable, his gaze intense.

Jing Wen smiled, poking his forehead, "You... go wait for in bed. I'll take a shower first."

Zhou Yi dried his hair and lay on the bed, waiting for Jing Wen to finish her shower.

When Jing Wen ca out, she was wearing the surprise she had prepared for Zhou Yi.

The outfit was quite intriguing, and Zhou Yi imdiately understood why she had called it a surprise.

It was indeed a "surprise."

As for what kind of surprise? Well, that's a story for another ti.
