Slowly, Dorian and his dragon, Ciel, made their way into the cave, walking through the pathway the witches had carved out for them.

To Dorian’s surprise, none of the witches they passed tried to attack him.

Not even for a second did he sense any type of malicious intent coming from their presence.

Hell, for the most part, it seed like they were excited to see him.

They all had a look of adoration on their faces, staring at him as though he was so kind of ancient, revered creature.

This truly made Dorian wonder why they were hostile at first. Especially considering the fact that the witches’ entire goal revolved around him in the first place.

Then again, that was probably the last thing on his mind right now.

Now standing at the entrance of the inner cave, the first thing Dorian saw were three witches standing close to the walls.

Dorian made sure to keep his eyes on them.

The first to speak was the pink-haired witch. Her head was bowed, with her arms held respectfully right before her.

"Welco, Demon Lord. We have been waiting for you."

Dorian kept a calm look on his face, despite being surprised she called him Demon Lord rather than the Dragon Monarch.

But then again, he was already aware that the Dragon Monarch went by different titles for certain people.

’Scan.’

[Target identified.]

[Na: Luno. The Witch of Greed.]

[Current status: Nervous and happy.]

A sowhat weird look played on Dorian’s face.

’Nervous about what? These people better not be planning anything weird. Wait, is that even possible? I did drop in unexpectedly.’

He looked to the other side. This ti, the expression on his face turned into one of deadpan shock.

The short witch, Bonnie, whom he had fought previously, was standing right there. She held the sa staff in her hands, her head bowed as well.

’This little...’

Before Dorian could fully register his thought, his gaze picked up on the next woman.

Slowly, his eyes began to widen at the realization.

There was no denying it.

The woman standing next to the Witch of Turmoil was none other than Tai Hun, the Master-ranked mage he had run into at the illegal slave trade.

He rembered she had been dragged into the portal before Yahoshi showed herself. As such, he assud she was already dead.

However, seeing that she was right in front of him, she was obviously alive.

The way she stared at him indicated that, just like the rest of the witches, she was excited about his presence. Her smile never died, not even for a second.

Though, she made sure not to maintain eye contact. All through the entire period, her face was constantly directed toward the ground and not a single inch higher.

The urge to speak to her did cross Dorian’s mind. But in that mont, to maintain the image he had already planned, it was best if he ignored her.

So, he turned away, imdiately shifting his gaze to the very front of the cave.

From where he stood, he could see a small rock formation at the front. It was covered with a see-through white cloth.

Because of the sheer fabric, he could easily see the person seated behind the veil. They seed to be looking directly at him as well, waiting for him to get closer.

"Ciel, I need you to remain here. Don’t act unless I give you the order to do so."

Ciel didn’t seem too keen on following that order.

Other than the witches she could see in the room in that mont, she could sense others hiding in the darkness.

She couldn’t go against her Lord’s orders, but she could still go the extra mile to make sure he was going to be safe.

"As you wish, My Lord. Do be careful."

’It’s Yahoshi. Being careful is not going to be enough,’ he whispered in his mind, a nervous look flashing internally.

It wasn’t that he was afraid of her. But considering the trauma she had already put him through in his forr world, it would be hard for him to fully grasp his composure.

Once he had steeled himself, Dorian began to move forward, taking one step after the other.

He could hear his chest heaving back and forth the closer he got.

At the sa ti, he was constantly checking the edge of his vision, making sure he would catch it imdiately if Raphael were to drop him a danger warning or advice.

After a long silence that seed to drag for eternity, Dorian was finally standing very close to the curtains.

He was close enough that he could feel the toxic mana already seeping toward his skin.

[Notice: Would you like to raise a protective barrier using the God Mana? Too much exposure to Dead Mana can prove to be fatal.]

Dorian paused. He rembered how it felt when Dead Mana entered his body while trying to save Seraphina.

The feeling was not sothing one would call nice.

’Do it.’

[Request confird.]

Now, the mana had fully enveloped his entire body. The dark mana simply bounced off his skin, unable to penetrate the silver God Mana around Dorian.

With that done and completed, Dorian could complete his next task.

"Yahoshi, show yourself. I have co for us to talk."

Silence settled.

Gradually, Dorian watched as the curtain slowly slid open.

A single foot was first spotted.

Then, a body dressed in a full-body black dress.

This was followed by a face.

Yes, Yahoshi’s face.

She no longer had her veil on.

Dorian could now fully see her face with no covering.

He saw her long black hair and bangs, the purple glow in her gaze, along with the sadistic smile she wore as she held onto the curtain.

He could see all of it.

"Jacob."

She called out with a chilling vibe that sent a shiver through Dorian’s spine.

Her voice continued.

"I knew you would co to your senses eventually. And I was right. You ca to see with your own two legs. Did you miss ? I did."
