Evening ca quickly!
Yang Dong arrived at Xiaocui’s house as expected.
As soon as he entered the courtyard, Aunt Lan Hua greeted him, "Yang Dong is here, co inside, Xiaocui is busy in the kitchen."
She gestured toward the kitchen with her hand, and Xiaocui erged from the kitchen, standing at the door.
Yang Dong nodded at Xiaocui and followed Aunt Lan Hua into the house.
Inside, the dining table was already set, with several prepared dishes and so bowls and chopsticks, suggesting that dinner would start soon.
Aunt Lan Hua then spoke up, "Yang Dong, you sit here first, I’ll head to the kitchen, the food will be ready soon, and we’ll be able to eat shortly."
Yang Dong nodded, watching as Aunt Lan Hua exited.
Sitting there, Yang Dong felt puzzled. Where were the other family mbers?
Why could he only see Aunt Lan Hua and Xiaocui?
After sitting for a while, he saw Xiaocui co in, carrying dishes into the room. She said to Yang Dong, "The food is all ready. Once I’ve brought everything, we can eat."
After that, Xiaocui went in and out several tis with Aunt Lan Hua, and everything was placed on the table.
Looking at the spread of dishes, Yang Dong was very surprised.
Is Aunt Lan Hua being overly generous?
Did the sun rise from the west today for such a lavish al to be prepared?

Aunt Lan Hua said, moving the dishes closer to Yang Dong, making him even more curious. Was there really sothing at their in-laws’, or did Aunt Lan Hua send them away?
Aunt Lan Hua kept smiling, but because her three sons took their wives and kids away, she felt quite embarrassed.
She had clearly instructed them the day before: when guests co over, the three sons need to maintain appearances at the dinner table.
Yet, early in the morning, each son ca up with excuses: one needed to attend a wedding at the in-laws’, another had to go because soone passed away, another because it was the father-in-law’s birthday—so they left with their families.
Aunt Lan Hua almost choked on her own frustration. How could her sons be so spineless and avoid responsibilities!
Let them leave then, it’s even better. With just her and her daughter, it’s easier to handle things with Yang Dong at night.
It avoids those useless ones getting in the way!
After saying this, Aunt Lan Hua gave her daughter a significant look.
Seeing her mother’s signal, Xiaocui imdiately stood up, picked up a wine pot, poured a cup for Yang Dong, and placed it in front of him without saying a word.
It was Aunt Lan Hua who spoke up, "Yang Dong, it’s your first ti having a al at Auntie’s house, make sure you eat and drink well."
