Island Felina, Evacuation Camp.

Logistics Area, Main Tent.

"Sir, Island Ptichka has been almost pletely destroyed, with nearly 80 percent of the population wiped out."

"Island Dreamer and Felina haven’t been hit as hard as the other islands, but they have also suffered some major casualties!"

Hearing the reports of his subordinates, Riku forgot the pain of his broken left arm and felt cold all over his body.

"S-so many innocent lives... all wiped out in just one night?... h-how is this even possible..."

"How did the demon army manage to infiltrate so deep into our territories without anyone noticing at all!!?"

"What were the border forces doing!?"

Hearing Riku’s words, one of the subordinates lowered his head and spoke in a despair-filled voice.

"Sir... the breach happened near Island Maria... our people have found out that before the attack happened..."

"The military base on Island Maria was pletely destroyed, and all of their munications were blocked by a mysterious power!"

"Due to Island Maria being destroyed, a massive gap opened up in our defenses, and the demon made it through that gap with such precision that it’s unbelievable!"

At those words, Riku’s eyes widened and he sat down on his chair powerlessly as he muttered,

"Island Maria’s destruction was no mere coincidence; that place is one of the major entry points to our nation and that’s why we have armed it so heavily..."

"To think that someone would destroy it before we could even get the time to react... this feels like a fully planned operation, as if someone already had all the information regarding our military’s capabilities and weak points..."

The more Riku thought about it, the more stressed he became, and he hurriedly ordered his subordinates,

"There is likely a traitor amongst us that has leaked a massive amount of information to the outside world about our nation’s military secrets..."

"We will need to find this traitor before the demons or anyone else uses their information to exploit our weaknesses again!"

All the subordinates nodded their heads and began discussing various matters that needed their immediate attention.

In this desperate moment when everyone was under suspicion for possibly being a traitor, each and every one of the subordinates started raising their voice to prove that they were not the traitor.

Some even exposed the private scandals of their fellow rades just to win an argument.

While all this mess was happening inside the main tent, the other tents were not fairing too well either.

Island Ptichka was home to almost all of the bird-type awakeners of the beast nation, and nearly 90 percent of them all got wiped out in that battle, causing a major decline in the capabilities of the awakener’s association branch of the beast archipelago.

Other nations were hit just as hard as the Beast Archipelago, and thus nobody was in the mood to send reinforcements at the moment.

The Beast Folk had to take care of their own people themselves for now, as it would take a long time for the world alliance to finally react to this global mess.

"My kid! Someone please find my kid! Please!"

"My family lived on Island Ptichka! Please I want to go see them let me go!!"

"My parents were working as soldiers on Island Maria! Please uncle! Can you please tell me where I can find them?"

The evacuation camps were in a plete mess.

Some people were frantically looking for their loved ones, some were too injured to even move and were barely hanging on to dear life, and some had their limbs broken and were struggling to move.

People whose family members were awakeners were the most worried, as they had no idea at the moment whether something wrong had happened to the awakener from their family while fighting on the battlefield.

The guards stationed near the camps could only give a few words to console the crowd, as even they weren’t sure about exactly what was going on and how many had died in this battle.

Sitting in a corner amidst the many injured people, Miki stared at all this mess with a sad look on her face.

Her body was covered in injuries, and a healer was doing his best to heal her, but due to the massive workload, the other party was already visibly exhausted.

"Leave me be; these are but only minor scratches. I will just take a healing potion later. Help those that need healing magic desperately right now."

The healer felt hesitant after hearing those words.

He knew that Miki was the daughter of the strongest man of their nation, and leaving her be would not be a good idea.

Just when the man was stuck in a dilemma, a massive healing field expanded across the entire island of Felina.

Miki’s and everyone else’s injuries started to heal at a rapid pace, causing everyone to be surprised!

Ordinary people who didn’t know much about healing magic only thought that some powerful healer was helping them; only the healers already present in the area knew how powerful this healing magic was!

Even the healer trying to heal Miki was stunned by the power of this healing field, despite being a peak S ranker himself!

"S-such powerful healing magic and such insane range!? Could it be... that an SS-rank healer has e to our aid!?"

S-rank healers alone were not so strong that they could heal everyone on a hundreds of kilometers wide island on their own so easily, so it was easy to mistake such wide-scale healing magic for the work of an SS-ranker.

But unlike the healers, Miki knew that this was likely not the work of any SS-rank healer at all.

’This is Riya’s healing magic! Thank goodness! It seems that they have all managed to return back safely from that sudden teleportation; I was worried about their safety.’

Finding out about the survival of her friends was the first good news Miki had received on this horrible day.

Miki desperately needed to hear this good news, as once she figured out that Riya was safe, she immediately fainted from exhaustion!
