"It really did happen-! The world is connected, and the system did give us the internet back."

"Does that an Thief was right? And are his abilities also correct? Can he actually see the future?"

"Does that an he knows what we are planning as well? Then, we better make sure he remains on our side."

The round table broke up into low chatter, but Thief’s senses were sharp enough to pick up bits and pieces of what they were saying about him and their organization.

He kept smiling, showing others that he was harmless and that they could trust him. It caused most people to only give him a searching look before they went back to discussing what they should do.

Finally, they ca to a united conclusion, and the spokesperson decided to speak to Thief.

"We are thankful that you made a post about us on social dia and attracted all the needed attention. In conclusion of what we talked about and found out, we think that it would be for the best if we accept your cooperation request."

A relief-filled smile broke across Thief’s face, and he gave the people in front of him a smile filled with appreciation.

"I am honored that you have decided to take my offer. I will make sure to guide you on the right path and also ensure that our shared goal of human survival is reached."

He told the forr world leaders before he took his leave.

The world leaders had decided to include Thief in their future plans, but that did not an they trusted him. They had imdiately deployed one of their ability users to keep an eye on him.

The man hidden in the shadows followed after Thief all the way across the street when he suddenly felt a chill go down his spine. He suddenly turned around, only to face Queen’s empty stare.

"W-What are you doing here? Who are you-"

"Dead people do not need to know the na of the person who killed them."

Queen told her prey before she froze his heart. The man was not even able to utter a single word in protest before he was reduced to a frozen statue and then shattered into pieces.

She quickly got out of the alley and took a turn, only to run into Thief.

"I told you that you should not kill people unnecessarily. Now we have a ss on our hands to clean up."

Thief told Queen, and she pretended to be ashad and nodded.

"I am sorry. I got startled and acted out on instinct. Do you forgive ?"

"Well, I guess I have no choice here. I will forgive you."

Both Thief and Queen knew that the other was acting. But this peaceful balance was sothing they wanted to maintain for a little longer.

"Let’s leave now. We have overstayed our welco. I am afraid that the peace council will send soone much more troubleso if we linger around any longer."

Thief told Queen, and she nodded and followed him. It was quiet for a while before she could not contain her words and ended up asking her question.

"Is it... really necessary for us to go out of our way to get Mark Dawnson’s cooperation? I am sure we will be successful even without him..."

"This is not sothing that is up for debate. No matter how many tis I try to see into different futures, I see the sa conclusion. The only ones that have a chance for human survival are the ones where Mark Dawnson and his companions join us."

Thief concluded.

Even he knew that his ability was not omniscient, but surely, if the conclusion was the sa every ti, even he had to admit it.

"My ability is telling that there is only one way to unite this world, and that is to make sure Mark Dawnson sits on the throne. So I am going to make sure that happens."

Queen felt agitated, and she imdiately wanted to tell Thief that anything Mark could do, she could do better.

But the look on Thief’s face stopped her. And since she did not want to get her heart broken, she chose not to say anything and silently followed him back.

"Finally, a viral post. I hit authority level 2. How did you all hit it before I did?"

Clara pouted as she looked at the rest of her group. Except for her and Lilianna, everyone else was already at authority level 3, and there was a good reason behind it.

It was because the [Top Ranking] bar had opened up, showing rankings of people based on their overall levels and abilities, and her current companions were currently occupying the top three spots.

[Rank #1 (Overall): Seraphina Light (23)

Rank #2 (Overall): Mark Dawnson (23)

Rank #3 (Overall): Emperor (22)]

"It’s alright, Clara. There is no need to feel bad. We are just up against so very strong contenders. We commoners have to take things at our own pace."

Lilianna assured her as she placed a hand on Clara’s shoulder. She was jealous of the other three in front of her as well, but she did not complain the sa way Clara did.

"B-But it is still not fair. Seraphina only posted a dot, and people flooded her post. This world is so unfair...."

Clara fake-cried as she sat down at the table to eat her food as well.

The introduction of social dia and restored communication had made things much more convenient for everyone. News has also beco easier to share. And currently, there was all but one piece of news that was everywhere.

"Speaking of viral, the Peace Cooperation has finally started making their posts. According to the information, it is an organization made up of collapsed governnts and other charity organizations, and it has vowed to help humanity. Should we go and take a look as well?"

Lilianna asked as she plated another spoonful of food to eat.

Her question imdiately piqued everyone’s interest.

"Hmm, I don’t know much about human culture, but presenting a united front does seem like a unique idea. Maybe it will be worth checking this place out."

Seraphina agreed, and it was decided. They would all keep an eye out on the peace organization.
