Luo Zhiming was scolded into silence, but the words of Xu He were overheard by Zhou Yuni, who was outside.

Zhou Yuni, infuriated, pushed open the couple’s door and looked coldly at Xu He, "Day in and day out, that’s all you talk about. Can’t you find sothing else to say?"

Xu He didn’t really want to argue with Zhou Yuni today; she had another matter on her mind.

She gave Zhou Yuni a faint smile, seemingly conceding to her point, and then said with a shallow laugh, "Fine, let’s talk about sothing else. Let’s discuss what we should do about having a child. I can’t just let the villagers keep calling a hen that can’t lay eggs for the rest of my life."

"What can we do about that? It is a helpless situation." When it ca to this matter, Zhou Yuni’s vehence also abated. She glanced at Luo Zhiming and said hesitantly, "Or should I ask soone else, see if there’s a place we can take Zhiming to see a Chinese dicine practitioner to find out if his condition can still be treated? I heard from soone recently..."

Zhou Yuni was cut off before she could finish, as Xu He bluntly interrupted, "Enough already. The big hospitals in the provincial city have all said it’s incurable. How can our rural place cure it?"

"Then..." Zhou Yuni knew the hope was slim, she just wanted so peace of mind.

Xu He looked impatiently at Zhou Yuni and Luo Zhiming, then glanced outside. Seeing no one in the courtyard, she lowered her voice and said, "Like this, we shouldn’t drag it out any longer. Regarding the plan we discussed last ti, see when you can arrange it. As long as I can get pregnant, I’m fine with anything."

Zhou Yuni understood what Xu He was referring to.

She frowned slightly, feeling troubled. "It might have been possible before, but with Zhiyong and Pingying’s divorce, we can’t count on it anymore. Even convincing Zhiyong to co back would now be difficult."

Xu He was aware it was like this, but she couldn’t be bothered with all that; she raised her voice in frustration, "I don’t care about all that. I’ll give you two months at most. Either you bring Luo Zhiyong back, or you explain things clearly to the villagers, and we’ll see who is the chicken that can’t lay eggs. I just can’t bear it any longer."

Startled by the sudden rise in Xu He’s voice, Zhou Yuni was terrified. She imdiately went outside, poked her head out to check the courtyard, and seeing Dashan was not there, she breathed a sigh of relief.

Upon re-entering the house, she closed the door more tightly and whispered to Xu He, "Keep your voice down. If your dad hears us, I’ll get beaten again."

Xu He also knew that they couldn’t let Dashan find out about this, otherwise it would ruin everything. She lowered her voice and said to both Zhou Yuni and Luo Zhiming, "I’ve figured out the dates for these two months. You find a way to have Luo Zhiyong co back once. As long as I get pregnant, it will be known only to heaven and earth, and the child will still be of the Luo Family, so everyone will be happy."

Although Luo Zhiming was in the know, he had reluctantly agreed because of the pressure from Zhou Yuni and Xu He. But as a man, who would want his wife to do such things with soone else?

He got up wanting to speak, but Zhou Yuni didn’t want any more conversation in the house. Talking further might alert Dashan to their plans. She imdiately held onto Luo Zhiming, signaling him to stay quiet, and replied to Xu He, "Alright, I’ll think about it."

Xu He smirked contentedly and said, "Then I’m leaving."

After saying that, Xu He swayed her hips and left for her parents’ house.

It was already late, and the delay at ho made it completely dark by the ti Xu He went out.

But it was not a problem; she could find her way back ho with her eyes closed, having grown up in the place.

But no one expected that when Xu He was passing through a grain drying yard in the village, several n suddenly rushed out from behind the stacks of straw.

Xu He was so frightened that she forgot to scream for help, and by the ti she realized and opened her mouth to shout, it was gagged by sothing.

And then, she was hoisted up and carried toward the back of the haystack.

Xu He trembled all over in terror, punching and kicking at the man carrying her, but the man said nothing; only a few lecherous n walking in front could be heard whispering to the man on the side, "Big brother, this woman isn’t half bad, not worse than those won in our city."

The man called big brother also looked at Xu He and chuckled softly, then gestured to his subordinates, "No talking."

Though the n in front were deliberately keeping their voices down, Xu He could still hear them; they were the loan sharks who had co to her house to demand money a few days ago.

The one called big brother was the one who collected Luo Zhiming’s IOU; she had even held onto that IOU in his presence.

Realizing it was them, Xu He broke into cold sweats one after another; they had done so many excessive things to others, these guys were not good people, and surely they would not treat her kindly.

Her mind raced trying to find a way to seek help, but in the dead of night, how could she, a woman, confront several n?

Those n carried Xu He for about half a mile and took her to a small copse in the village.

The woods were not big, but because it was quite secluded and so distance from the village houses, and since it was late at night and villagers tended to sleep early, basically no one would pass by here.

As long as they didn’t make too much noise, nobody would notice.

Shuanzi and the debt collectors had staked out in this village for several days to find such a suitable place.

After having Xu He carried into the woods, Shuanzi ordered his n to watch the surroundings; then, under the moonlight, he glanced at Xu He, who was thrown to the ground.

To be honest, Xu He was quite attractive. A few days ago at the Luo Family’s place, Shuanzi had taken a liking to this woman; it was rare to find such a woman in these rural places, not just attractive but also not at all like a country lass.

After being out for days with just a bunch of n, Shuanzi had been itching for so pleasure.

He chuckled softly and with a sweep of his large hand, ripped Xu He’s clothes apart. Looking at Xu He’s lovely figure and fair skin, Shuanzi’s eyes glead with excitent. He let out a hehe, pressed Xu He beneath him, and began his ruthless labor.

Xu He was a woman after all, terrified beyond belief by the actions of a strange man, and with the man forcing himself, the pain below was severe. Her limbs kept slapping at the man on top of her, wanting to scream, but sothing stuffed in her mouth made it impossible for any sound to co out.

She tried to escape but a man’s strength was no match for a woman’s; all her efforts were futile.

However, her struggles also dampened Shuanzi’s mood.

Finding it not fun anymore, Shuanzi temporarily stopped his actions and pulled out the gag from Xu He’s mouth. Just when Xu He was about to scream, Shuanzi smirked by her ear, threatening, "Go ahead, scream. Better yet, get everyone in the village here to see what a sight you are under ."
