If it were before, Zhou Guangsheng might have softened at the sight of this Bai Jing, but now, Zhou Guangsheng felt nothing but disgust towards her.

He took a step back, shaking off Bai Jing’s hand, and looked at her with scorn, "You still love ?"

After a pause, he frowned and said to Bai Jing, "Do you really not know what you’ve done, or do you want to list them all out in front of your mother?"

Upon hearing this, Bai Jing gently caressed her belly and said, "This child..."

But before she could finish, Zhou Guangsheng cut her off, "Don’t say this child is mine. I’m not that foolish to not know whether it’s possible for the child to be mine."

Bai Jing looked at Zhou Guangsheng as if she had been wronged, pleading in a distressed tone, "Guangsheng, I got pregnant while I was with you. If not yours, whose child could it be?"

Zhou Guangsheng might have understood why Bai Jing deceived the old lady before, but now that she attempted to fra him right to his face, he was too angry to care about anything else.

He looked at Bai Jing with a cold, rciless laugh, "Bai Jing, is it the sa as before? The father of the child ran away, or perhaps the man already has a family and doesn’t want you anymore? You can’t find anyone to take responsibility, so you want to take the bla?"

Upon hearing Zhou Guangsheng’s words, Bai Jing’s face turned ghastly pale, and her hands under her sleeves clenched tightly, obviously restraining her own emotions from bursting out with great willpower.

Taking several deep breaths, Bai Jing pointed at Zhou Guangsheng in deep pain, "Guangsheng, you can’t treat this way."

"Then how should I treat you?" Zhou Guangsheng briefly paused, then loudly countered her, "Bai Jing, before we got married, because I loved you, I didn’t care about everything you did. Those were mistakes of your youth, and I was willing to be tolerant, but have you ever cherished my tolerance after marrying ?"

"First, in front of everybody, you fell in love with my brother, making unable to hold my head up in the army. After that incident, you would not agree to divorce and said you would live well with in the future. I held onto a sliver of hope and didn’t insist on divorce, but you went and got together with another man. You’re clearly not in the right mindset to live a good life."

For a man to admit to his face that his wife has betrayed him is indeed a hard thing to voice. Although everyone was well aware of it before, Zhou Guangsheng had never spoken out about it.

But this ti, in front of Bai Jing’s mother, Zhou Guangsheng didn’t hold back anymore and aired all his grievances.

Afterwards, he took a brief rest, lowering his voice a bit, but his gaze towards Bai Jing grew increasingly cold, "Since you don’t regard as worthy and think I’m not good enough for you, I won’t insist. That’s why I’m the one who initiated the divorce."

"After the divorce, there’s no need for us to have anything to do with each other. Going our separate ways is good, isn’t it? Why do you keep pestering , selfishly summoning my old mother from such a far place? My mother is illiterate; she had to switch buses several tis. If she had an accident on the way, how could you be at peace with that?"

"Guangsheng..." This ti Bai Jing didn’t speak; it was Bai Jing’s mother, Zhou Chang’e who attempted to intervene.

But Zhou Guangsheng didn’t want to listen. Their marriage had reached this point, and Bai Jing ended up like this; Zhou Chang’e bore responsibility as well.

Zhou Guangsheng addressed Zhou Chang’e, "Auntie, you know very well what kind of person your daughter is. You better ask clearly whose child she is carrying in her belly. It’s definitely not mine. Ever since she caused a fellow soldier’s wife to have a miscarriage, I have not touched her, so the child cannot be mine."

In reality, Zhou Chang’e knew about these matters. She knew Bai Jing’s child might not belong to Zhou Guangsheng but wasn’t certain.

She also was aware of the conflict between Bai Jing and Zhou Guangsheng that had occurred before.

However, because Bai Jing had had issues before, Zhou Chang’e didn’t dare to provoke Bai Jing and had to go along with her. After all, Bai Jing was her only daughter, and her character beca like this partly because she and her husband didn’t educate her well.

For this daughter, they did feel guilty in their hearts.

Moreover, she had always been satisfied with Zhou Guangsheng as her son-in-law. If they could reconcile, she would be willing.

But Zhou Guangsheng had gone this far, and Zhou Chang’e knew there was no turning back. She pulled on Bai Jing, whispering softly, "Xiao Jing, if that’s the case, then let it be. Don’t pester anymore."

"No." Bai Jing, who had been speaking gently, suddenly raised her voice. Her face took on a ferocious look as she shook off Zhou Chang’e’s hand, then pointed at Zhou Guangsheng, and shouted loudly, "Zhou Guangsheng, I’m telling you, I won’t let you marry another woman, especially since your fiancée is Fang Pingying’s sister, that’s even more unacceptable."

Zhou Guangsheng scoffed and shook his head slightly, gazing indifferently at her, "Bai Jing, do you have too high an opinion of yourself, or you haven’t understood the situation? As of today, what gives you the right to say ’don’t’ to ?"

Suddenly, Zhou Guangsheng’s voice rose too, emphatically telling Bai Jing, "I’ll tell you, the wedding is set, the date was decided long ago, and I won’t delay it by a single day."

Bai Jing was not to be outdone, as if she had been prepared, "Can you get past your mother first?"

Zhou Guangsheng had long expected that she would use this as a threat. He said, "Bai Jing, don’t think by summoning my mother here you can stop . Even if you called upon Heaven’s Emperor himself, you couldn’t stop . Fang Xiu and I will definitely get married on ti."

"You..." Bai Jing looked at Zhou Guangsheng; initially, furor was evident in her eyes as if she wanted to argue about sothing with Zhou Guangsheng. But then, as if having rembered sothing, she suddenly smiled faintly at Zhou Guangsheng, then turned around and slamd her head into a marble table in their ho.

Zhou Guangsheng and Zhou Chang’e only heard a "bang" sound. It was too late to stop her; they only saw Bai Jing fall responselessly, then blood gushed from her forehead.

Both were shocked by Bai Jing’s drastic action and froze for a mont, yet it was Zhou Chang’e who reacted first. She rushed to Bai Jing’s side while anxiously shouting, "Xiao Jing, Xiao Jing."

After Zhou Guangsheng ca around, he also imdiately rushed over to see how Bai Jing was.

Seeing the pool of blood forming under Bai Jing in less than a mont, Zhou Guangsheng was sowhat horrified and at a loss, looking at Zhou Chang’e, "Auntie..."

No matter what, Zhou Guangsheng did not wish for anything bad to happen to Bai Jing.

Zhou Chang’e was a doctor, and having likely seen many such scenes, although she was anxious, she wasn’t completely helpless. She called out to Zhou Guangsheng, "Guangsheng, stop talking so much. Call your father and tell him Xiao Jing had an accident. Ask him to send a car. We need to go to the hospital imdiately."
