He then burst out into hearty laughter.
After enough laughter, he asked, “As the daughter-in-law of the Lu Family, have you ever seen a jade pendant with a unique pattern?”
Saying that, he waved his hand, and soone brought over a picture for Luo Qiao to see. The tattooed man then instructed, “If you want to live, look carefully. Don’t try to play , and answer honestly after you’re done.”
Luo Qiao recognized the pendant’s pattern and suddenly rembered the jade pendant Lu Yichen had given her. He had ntioned that it was the last thing his mother put on him during their final encounter, because the string of his original pendant had broken.
She now realized that back then, her mother-in-law had likely been under surveillance. In an effort to save the jade pendant and protect Lu Yichen, she had purposely cut the string of his pendant and then naturally replaced it with her own.
