Chapter 838: Chapter 838: It’s Not Certain Who Will Clean Up Whom Chapter 838: Chapter 838: It’s Not Certain Who Will Clean Up Whom Luo Family, the phone rang in the silent living room, waking Luo Ziming from his nap. The phone was answered, “Hello, who’s there?”

“The target has boarded the train from Capital City to Shanghai, and we’ve sent people to follow. Please advise.”

Luo Ziming thought this was perfectly tid, “Keep a close watch, and when convenient, take the person away, but make sure no one notices.”

“Yes.”

Luo Qiao was unaware that soone was planning to make a move on her, and even if she knew, she wouldn’t be afraid. It wasn’t clear who would end up dealing with whom.

The train left the station. Seeing everyone engrossed in their books, and Ge Tiantian’s logistics support team holding a eting nearby, Luo Qiao climbed into her bunk, took out a book to pretend, and prepared to catch up on so sleep.

She slept until dinner ti and was awakened by Ge Tiantian’s nudge, “Luo Qiao, co down for dinner.”

Luo Qiao took a while to fully awaken, “Okay, coming right down.”

After eating, Ge Tiantian struck up a conversation with Luo Qiao. The two might have been about the sa age, and with Ge Tiantian’s lively personality, they got along well.

Luo Qiao took out so homade candied fruit from her bag and offered it to her, “Try this.”

Ge Tiantian thanked her and took a piece, “Mmm, this is delicious. Where did you buy this? It tastes better than any I’ve had before.”

Luo Qiao smiled, “You can’t find these outside; I made them myself.”

Ge Tiantian’s eyes lit up imdiately, “Oh my gosh, you made these yourself? You are really amazing.”

The days on the train were filled with reading, chatting with Ge Tiantian, and asking the professors in the exchange team about things she didn’t understand, making it not so unbearable.

The train blew a long whistle as it approached the station.

Upon arrival at their accommodation, the team leader held a brief eting and handed out a schedule for the next five days. Everyone had the afternoon to themselves and was to et at 8:30 the next morning at the auditorium behind the hotel before dispersing.

Luo Qiao and Ge Tiantian were in the sa room. Ge Tiantian was really talkative, chatting non-stop from the mont they entered, but Luo Qiao didn’t mind it.

Luo Qiao planned to spend the afternoon buying items she had promised to bring back for her family, worried she might run out of ti later.

Fortunately, Ge Tiantian also agreed to help her family and friends bring back so items. The two headed straight to Shanghai First Departnt Store. When Luo Qiao was picking out silk for her sister-in-law, she noticed the vibrant colors and found the prices were indeed cheaper than in Capital City, so she grabbed ten, two of each color.

Ge Tiantian was surprised by Luo Qiao’s big spending, “Why buy so many?”

Luo Qiao laughed, “They’re all to be taken back for others.”

She then picked up a cara for her cousin, and then it was ti to shop for her family.

She bought a Shanghai-brand watch for her elder brother, whose current watch had a cracked face and was the only sibling not married; she felt he needed extra care.

For the children, she bought clothes, and a good amount of wool, albeit with so dye imperfections which wouldn’t matter when knit into wool trousers.

When the two returned to the hotel with their arms full of packages, they saw an exchange group from another province checking in at the lobby.

Once in their room, they dropped their bags and collapsed onto their beds, exhausted. Ge Tiantian looked at the pile of stuff, “It’s fun to spend money, but afterward, you feel like chopping off your own hands.”

Luo Qiao burst out laughing, and Ge Tiantian threw a pillow at her, “You could’ve stopped a bit, on my first day in Shanghai I’m already broke.”

Luo Qiao laughed so hard she almost choked, “Alright, I’ll lend you so for now, just to tide you over.”

Ge Tiantian, still laughing, said, “Don’t tell anyone, I can’t afford to lose face.”

The next day, they got up early, had breakfast, and reached the eting point where they received their conference badges from the team leader and orderly entered the conference hall to sign in and find their seats designated for Capital City.

The first three days were reserved for a cardiovascular academic exchange, aiming to build a platform for cardiovascular clinicians to exchange scholarly information, disseminate knowledge, and showcase achievents, further promoting the developnt of cardiovascular research and clinical practice.

Those speaking today were prominent figures from the various exchange teams, sharing seasoned experiences. Luo Qiao kept taking fast notes, marking areas she didn’t understand, ready to seek advice from them after the sessions ended.

The three days passed quickly, and Luo Qiao found them extrely beneficial, no wonder everyone was competing for a spot at the conference. The following two days were reserved for Traditional Chinese dicine exchanges.

This ti Luo Qiao was the speaker from the Capital City group. Originally, Jiancheng intended to take this opportunity, but he let Luo Qiao have it, knowing well how many would have spoken behind his back.

Although Luo Qiao was trained in clinical dicine, and there were representatives from the traditional dicine sector, Jiancheng had recomnded Luo Qiao, acknowledging her superior skills.

Add to that, since Jiancheng was the one originally invited to this part of the conference, the master felt free to give his disciple the opportunity. Although others had their opinions, they had to admire Luo Qiao’s capabilities.
