How am I in the wrong for not wanting to lend my house? Look at how scruffy you are. Where do you get the gall to stand in front of others and speak so righteously? Just get lost.”
Wang Aijuan had learned before that Luo Qiao seed amiable and didn’t expect her to be so tough. She argued, “My mom said you wouldn’t be staying here over the New Year, so lending us the house for a few days wouldn’t do any harm. Don’t you have any sympathy at all?”
Luo Qiao stepped forward and kicked the woman out the door. This move shocked Wang Daniang and Wang Aijuan’s mother-in-law, who quickly ran to help her up.
Crying out in pain, Wang Aijuan’s mother-in-law turned to Luo Qiao and said, “How could you hit soone?”
Luo Qiao stood at the door, “Who gave you the right to bully your way into my house? Why can’t I hit soone? Trying to morally blackmail , huh? If that’s the case, be ashad for once. You’re not satisfied with causing a ruckus in your own yard, now you want to expand your territory, and perhaps take over the whole alley next?”
Wang Aijuan said, “You hurt , you have to pay.”
Luo Qiao snorted with laughter, “I’ve seen shaless, but never as shaless as you. You want to pay up? Alright, just wait a second.”
She turned around, went back into the yard, grabbed a knife from the kitchen, and ca out again, “I think it’s better to see so blood when compensating; that way, the payout is bigger.”
As she brandished the knife and prepared to charge, Wang Aijuan scrambled up from the ground and ran into her family’s yard, slamming the door shut behind her.
Luo Qiao shouted after her, “Don’t run! You’re so poor you co looking for trouble, trying to swindle money from your neighbors, but I’m more than willing to cooperate with you.”
Her actions stunned the onlookers from the lane who now knew better than to provoke this seemingly gentle person; she was even ready to wield a knife.
Wang Aijuan thought she was off the hook, but Luo Qiao walked steadily to the Wang family’s front door and kicked it open, sending the door and Wang Aijuan, who was leaning against it, flying out.
