Luo Qiao washed her hands and stepped out of the kitchen at the sound, “Mom, did you get off work early today?”
Zhang Shulan put down what she was carrying, “Indeed, I received a call that you’re leaving tomorrow, so I asked the boss for so ti off. Qiaoqiao, your grandpa told you got your dical license.”
Luo Qiao smiled, “Yes, I got it. My dear mom, aren’t I amazing?”
Zhang Shulan laughed, “Amazing, truly amazing.” She continued to laugh heartily.
Having had their fun, Zhang Shulan eventually said, “Qiaoqiao, I’ve bought you two outfits. See if you like them. If not, we can go exchange them.”
Saying so, she took out two sets of clothes from her bag – a light blue dress, simple and elegant, a pair of black bell-bottom pants, and a black-and-white checkered shirt.

Zhang Shulan said with a smile, “These clothes and pants were bought while I was shopping before. I was planning to send them to you but didn’t get the chance. This dress, in particular, I bought just now at the departnt store. You can wear it in a few days. A girl can never have too many clothes.”
Luo Qiao, holding the clothes, smiled radiantly. Her biological mother had never treated her like this, but her godmother truly cherished her with all her heart. She felt warm inside, “Thank you, mom.”
Zhang Shulan patted Luo Qiao, “Go try them on and see if they fit.”
They went upstairs together, and in Luo Qiao’s room, both outfits suited her well. They looked good on her, embodying different styles and giving off different vibes.
Zhang Shulan laughed, “Not bad, I thought these clothes would suit you the mont I saw them. They really accentuate your tall figure once on.”
After trying on the clothes and coming back downstairs, Zhang Shulan suddenly asked, “Qiaoqiao, where is your grandpa?”
Luo Qiao glanced at the closed room door, leading Zhang Shulan into the kitchen before responding, “There was trouble at the Qiao Family’s place earlier, involving Si Si. Grandpa is not in a good mood.”
The two chatted as they organized things.
Zhang Shulan couldn’t help but gloat, “What trouble has Aisiss gotten into now? Surely it can’t be the case of a dog that can’t change its eating habits?”
