Thinking that Lu Yichen was also returning ho, she prepared a portion for him as well, a small token of her sentints.
That evening, Lu Yichen ca back and said, “Stone won’t be coming back for dinner tonight; I ran into him earlier. His classmate’s grandfather is celebrating his birthday and he was dragged along to the celebration.”
Luo Qiao said, “It might be inappropriate for him to attend soone else’s family celebration.”
Lu Yichen finished parking the car and replied, “Stone gets along well with that classmate. I happened to have just bought so pastries, so I let him bring those as a gesture.”
Relieved, Luo Qiao truly treated Stone like a younger brother and didn’t want him to suffer any slight.
Luo Qiao said, “Then let’s wash up and eat – and afterwards, I have sothing to tell you.”
The dinner table showcased the jerky she had made that day, alongside noodles cooked with at sauce and spicy sauce. It all slled delicious.
After dinner, once Lu Yichen had cleaned up the kitchen and helped Luo Qiao boil water, she said, “Go ahead, what do you want to talk about?”
Luo Qiao said, “When I returned to Capital City this ti, I treated my eldest and second brothers, as well as two elders’ leg ailnts, and the results were quite good. I think I might be able to heal your leg. Do you trust ?”

After the initial excitent, Lu Yichen said without hesitation, “I trust you.”
Luo Qiao smiled and asked, “When will you be going to Capital City?”
Lu Yichen replied, “I’m leaving tomorrow. I should be back in a week at most. If all goes well, perhaps three or four days.”
Luo Qiao smiled, “Then, once you’re back from Capital City, I’ll start treating you. Don’t worry; it won’t interfere with your regular work. We can do the treatnt after hours.”
After finishing the conversation, Luo Qiao brought out the prepared items and produced a package for each family, “It’s a bother, but could you help deliver these? I’ve also prepared sothing for you, a small gesture of appreciation.”
When Lu Yichen heard he had also received a package, warmth flooded his heart, and his eyes couldn’t hide his joy, “Thank you, Qiaoqiao.”
Luo Qiao, looking at the three packages, said, “Will they be difficult for you to carry? Do you have a lot of things?”

Lu Yichen answered, “I’ve got a ticket for eight in the morning.”
Luo Qiao decided, “Then Stone and I will take you to the train tomorrow, so there’s no need to trouble anyone else.”
Lu Yichen glanced outside at the sky and started with so concern, “It seems it might get even colder tomorrow…”
Before he could finish, Luo Qiao interjected, “That’s settled, then. Stone and I will go with you tomorrow.”
Feeling a blaze of warmth inside, and afraid he might not be able to contain himself, Lu Yichen checked the ti and quickly said, “I’ll go pick up Stone. We’ll co over early tomorrow morning.”
