Luo Qiao didn’t care what the Luo Family Brothers thought. She just took out the items from her basket, which also contained a chicken and a rabbit.
The Luo Family Brothers hadn’t expected their sister to be so calm, without the slightest ripple of emotion. They didn’t know what to say, but unexpectedly, they felt that this was how it should be and briskly started picking the vegetables.

Luo Qiao, seeing Stone’s expression, laughed, “Didn’t I give you guys so mushroom at sauce? It’s good with rice or dipping buns.”
Stone said, “Sister, if it wasn’t for the mushroom at sauce you gave us, I wouldn’t have been able to hold out. Both mine and brother’s stomachs have been spoiled by you.”
Luo Qiao laughed heartily and even reached out to tousle Stone’s hair, saying, “It’s just too bad we live so far apart—if we lived closer, you could co over for als.”
Stone looked up, “Really? Actually, we’re quite close to where you live.”
Luo Qiao said, “Really? Then why haven’t you co to see ?”
Stone pouted, “Brother said you’re already exhausted from school, and he didn’t want to add to your burden. Besides, we have the cafeteria, and he said it’s enough to have an improved al when we co back on weekends.”
Luo Qiao looked towards Lu Yichen, who was busy dishing up rice in the kitchen, and thought to herself that he was indeed considerate. However, she also considered that she had to eat as well, and besides, they never ate for free—they always helped pick vegetables and wash dishes.
So, she said, “If we’re not too far away, you guys should eat at my place in the future. I don’t enjoy eating alone anyway. I’ll give you a key later, so whoever gets back first can get the veggies and start cooking.”
Stone, still just a kid, jumped up excitedly, “Finally, I won’t have to eat cafeteria food anymore.”
As Lu Yichen ca over with a bowl, he heard Stone’s words and looked straight at Luo Qiao, “Will it not affect your studies?”
Luo Qiao replied, “I have to cook anyway, plus you’ll help, right? Besides, I hate washing dishes the most.”
She finished with a laugh.
Lu Yichen was secretly thrilled but maintained his composure, “Well, then I’ll take care of picking the vegetables and washing the dishes.”
Stone quickly pledged his own willingness to help, “I can help too, I can pick vegetables and wash dishes.”
The Luo Family Brothers sat to the side, watching their interaction, feeling bitter as if they were turning into lemons, eyeing Lu Yichen and Stone with displeasure.
