Luo Qiao and Wang Xiaoxin were helping Auntie Tang in the kitchen, while Lu Yichen was putting up couplets with the kids, and Lu Yixuan was hanging lanterns with Taifeng, who had just returned from a military training camp.

Not long after, Stone ca back with Guan Yuqi.

Luo Qiao looked at Guan Yuqi and asked, "How are you feeling recently? Any better?"

Wang Xiaoxin, puzzled, asked, "What’s wrong, are you ill?"

Guan Yuqi was a bit embarrassed, so Luo Qiao answered for her, "She’s pregnant, over two months now."

Wang Xiaoxin laughed and took Guan Yuqi’s hand, "This is wonderful news! Does Grandpa know?"

Guan Yuqi looked at Luo Qiao, who gently shook her head, "Such good news, you and Stone should tell Grandpa yourselves."

Stone put his things back in the room and happened to co out of the living room, hearing Luo Qiao’s words, "We’ll tell Grandpa in a bit, let him share in the joy."

Wang Xiaoxin said, "Quickly, quickly, get inside and let the kids know. Don’t let them accidentally bump into Yuqi."

Guan Yuqi laughed, "It’s not that big of a deal."

Wang Xiaoxin smiled, "Telling them will make everyone more cautious, and everyone will be at ease."

Sure enough, Old Master Gu laughed happily when Stone told him about Guan Yuqi’s pregnancy, "Today is a double celebration, let’s have a good drink tonight to celebrate."

We had a simple lunch and then started busying ourselves with preparing the New Year’s Eve dinner.

In the mid-afternoon, Lu Yiting ca back with her son Kong Mingyang, spent so ti chatting with Grandpa, and then went to the kitchen to help. But her sister-in-law, Wang Xiaoxin, said, "We’re almost done here, you should hurry back and help your mother-in-law with cooking."

Lu Yiting hadn’t seen her sisters-in-law for so ti and wanted to chat, but she knew her sister-in-law was looking out for her.

Luo Qiao noticed her pitiful expression and laughed, "Hurry back; co over tomorrow. Be good, oh, and take the seafood prepared for Mingyang with you."

Lu Yiting pouted, "Hmph, do you all not like anymore?"

Luo Qiao laughed, "What do you an by that?"

Lu Yiting clung to the doorfra, "One is throwing out, and another says the seafood is for Mingyang. You all don’t love anymore."

This made everyone in the kitchen laugh. Luo Qiao dusted her hands off the flour, "Enough, quickly take your things and scoot back ho. If you’re late, the sisters-in-law next door might also get tired of you.

Oh, and take the down jacket I prepared for you from the cabinet in the small living room. Don’t take the wrong one; yours is beige."

At this, Lu Yiting stopped her antics and ran over to hug Luo Qiao, "Thank you, Second Sister-in-law."

Then she hugged Wang Xiaoxin, "I know you’re looking out for , Big Sister-in-law."

Finally, she hugged Auntie Tang at the door, "Auntie Tang, don’t forget to save the best dish. I’ll co back to eat tomorrow."

With that, she ran into the living room and soon ca out with her clothes, "Second Sister-in-law, is this blue one for Mingyang?"

Luo Qiao nodded, "Yes, take it with you. I was going to have Mingyang try it later."

Lu Yiting chuckled, "Alright, I’ll take them both then."

She lifted the seafood from the kitchen and said, "I’m off. I’ll be back if I finish up early."

After she left, Wang Xiaoxin asked, "Did you prepare clothes for everyone again?"

Luo Qiao laughed, "They’re from the factory. I gave them the sizes, and they sent them over."

Wang Xiaoxin said, "We’ve been wearing many of your clothes these years, but you and Yichen have five kids to raise. Don’t always be thinking about everyone else."

Luo Qiao knew Wang Xiaoxin wasn’t being insincere, but it was her way of showing care, just like how they always shared good things with each other.

Luo Qiao looked at Wang Xiaoxin, "Sister-in-law, I know what you an, but you all are the people closest to Yichen. It’s okay to give more when we can, right? It’s not like you don’t share with us whenever you get sothing nice."

Wang Xiaoxin’s eyes suddenly teared up, "Alright, I won’t say any more. We’ll just enjoy the blessings with you."

Over the years, whether Big Brother was on a business trip or Sister-in-law was traveling, whether it was jade from Myanmar or local snacks from other places, Big Brother and Sister-in-law never forgot about our family.

Every ti, after coming back, they would deliver things ho right away. No matter what it was, it was always thoughtful, as family should be—if I am good, you are good, everyone is good.

Deep down, everyone has a sense of balance, knowing genuine from ingenuine. If everyone is sincere, there’s no need to fuss over getting a good or bad deal.

Auntie Tang was very pleased to hear the sisters-in-law’s conversation. Old Master Gu didn’t get to enjoy much from his sons, daughters-in-law, daughter, or son-in-law, but he did get the benefits from his grandchildren and their spouses.

She was genuinely happy because she was a beneficiary too. Even though she was just a housekeeper, everyone in this family treated her like family.

Karma cos full circle, and she also treated this place as her ho and these children as her own family.
