Lu Yichen knew he couldn’t avoid this trip. He understood her temper too well; once a promise was made, she would definitely follow through.
So he simply made a phone call to have soone book the tickets.
Luo Qiao made extra stead dumplings today, so that for breakfast tomorrow, Lu Yichen could just pan-fry them for a ready al.
After the two finished eating, Luo Qiao packed up her homade backpack and left with Lu Yichen.
The car couldn’t drive up to the front door, so they had to park in front of the residential compound.
As they started the car and left the compound, Luo Qiao said, "Brother Chen, if you have ti tomorrow, please go to the repair shop and drive the car back for ."
Lu Yichen responded, "Got it."
They tid it just right, so when they collected the tickets, boarding had just started. Lu Yichen made sure she was settled on the train: "Stay safe, co back early."
Lu Yichen bought a sleeper ticket for Luo Qiao, so she wouldn’t be exhausted. He had already inford Yin Dong to tidy up the courtyard house and to light the small boiler in advance for warmth.
Seeing that the train was about to leave, he was ready to get off.
Just as he was about to turn around, Luo Qiao stood on her toes, kissed him on the cheek by surprise, and then pushed him forward: "Drive slowly on your way back, call when you get ho."
Lu Yichen had a smile on his lips, his heart sweet: "Got it. Let know when you’re coming back, I’ll co to pick you up."
Watching her get off the train: "Okay, drive safely."
The train clattered and clattered out of the station.

Luo Qiao originally wanted to call Yao Chengxuan, but looking at the ti, she thought even if the call went through, he wouldn’t be able to answer after work. So, she called the residential compound, and coincidentally, the person who ca to get her was Yao Lili in the front entrance.
When Yao Lili heard it was a call from a woman nad Luo Qiao, she harbored ill intentions and took the call herself, not ntioning a word about it to the family when she got ho.
Wu Peiling saw her out for so long and asked, "Where did you go?"
Yao Lili replied quietly, "Ran into an old classmate, just chatted for a while."
Wu Peiling didn’t ask further after hearing this.
Yao Lili, having been beaten last ti, still held a grudge against Luo Qiao. With so much money, she didn’t even think to help them a little. What an ungrateful wolf.
When she got the call from Luo Qiao, her words were filled with implication that Luo Qiao owed their family.
Luo Qiao didn’t want to waste words with her and hung up directly, thinking if it weren’t for Yao Chengxuan, she wouldn’t bother with this trip at all. Yao Lili was nothing but a greedy little person.

Luo Qiao lightly dozed throughout the journey and reached Ji City before dawn.
As soon as she got off, she saw Yin Dong waiting for her: "Why are you here?"
Yin Dong smiled and said, "Director Lu called . I’ve already tidied up the little courtyard, lit the small boiler last night, it’s warm inside. You can get so more sleep when you get back."
When they arrived ho by car, a hot soup noodle was already prepared for them.

After freshening up, she walked out of the alley and saw Yin Dong heading her way: "Are you bringing breakfast?"
Yin Dong smiled, "Yes."
So the two entered ’Green Affinity’ together.
After eating the breakfast Yin Dong made, they drove off in the car assigned to him heading for the hospital.
Upon arriving at the hospital, Luo Qiao inquired a bit and went up to the inpatient departnt.
From afar she could see Yao Pengfei in the hallway talking to a young nurse.
Luo Qiao walked closer and called out to the returning Yao Pengfei: "Brother Pengfei."
Upon hearing the call, Yao Pengfei turned his head and saw it was Luo Qiao: "When did you arrive?"
Luo Qiao wouldn’t cover for Yao Lili: "I called the residential compound yesterday, it was Sister Li Li who answered. Didn’t she tell the family?"
After hearing this, Yao Pengfei’s expression turned a bit awkward. He couldn’t say Yao Lili didn’t ntion it. He didn’t know how to respond when Yao Chengxuan walked over.
Seeing Luo Qiao at the door, he said: "Qiaoqiao, when did you arrive?"
Luo Qiao smiled: "I told Sister Li Li the train I was on. It’s the only one from Capital City at night. Could she not have rembered?"
Actually, Luo Qiao was a bit angry now; she had made the call yesterday, they knew her number, yet not only didn’t they et her, but they didn’t even call to check the situation. This clearly ant they’d only use her when needed and ignore her otherwise. But the matter hadn’t even started, and they were acting like this.
Yao Chengxuan felt a burning sensation on his face. It was his fault. He had called Luo Qiao last night, but perhaps he was exhausted lately, his head a bit woozy.
He entrusted the matter to his eldest son, instructing him if Luo Qiao called, he should go and pick her up. It was unsafe for a woman late at night.
But never expected the call would be taken by his eldest daughter, who didn’t ntion a word at ho.
The eldest son, as if cursed, didn’t get the call and just assud she wouldn’t co, not even bothering to check the train station.
