Luo Qiao pushed her luggage out and saw Emma waiting there. Emma waved her arms: "Luo, here, here, oh my god, I’ve missed you so much, finally I see you."
The two embraced each other.
Luo Qiao said, "Didn’t you say you were going to travel to China and visit on the way?"
Emma apologized a bit, "Sorry, Luo, we missed our appointnt, we’ve been so busy. The family arranged a lot of things, if it wasn’t my ti being inconvenient, Steven had sothing that kept him tied up."
But then she laughed, "However, this ti we’ve arranged our honeymoon to China, we can fly to China together, now we will enjoy Chinese food and see Chinese scenery, don’t be annoyed with us."
Luo Qiao laughed, "Oh boy, because you and Steven are getting married, I have to take a whole month off."
Emma didn’t understand, "What do you an?"
Luo Qiao lightly tapped Emma’s head, "I have to take ti off to attend your wedding, don’t I? And when you go to China for your honeymoon, won’t I have to take ti off to accompany you?"
Emma understood this ti and hugged Luo Qiao’s arm, "Thank you, dear sister, you don’t have to accompany us the whole ti in China, just join us for als."
Luo Qiao laughed, "My Emma is still so lovely, so considerate, rest assured, once you’re in China, I’ll make sure to treat you both well."
Emma asked Luo Qiao, "What about the kids, did they miss , or let you bring anything, I’m a bit curious."
Luo Qiao laughed, "They did prepare gifts for you but you have to co ho to get them."
"Hahaha, I knew it, they would surely prepare gifts for . Steven and I also got them sothing, but I can’t tell you yet."
Normally during phone calls, Emma and Steven often chatted with the little ones and sent things over occasionally, their relationship is really close.
Emma suddenly felt a bit upset when she ntioned it, "It’s a sha they couldn’t attend my wedding, or I would have them as my little angels, such a show-off."
But then she thought about how she and Steven would soon be in China for their honeymoon and smiled again, "But luckily, we’ll et soon."
The two of them chatted and laughed as they left the airport.
Only then did Luo Qiao ask, "Where’s Steven?"
Emma chuckled evilly, "He got pulled back to work at the family company, with endless things to learn and endless reports to read. For our honeymoon, he probably has to work overti these days."
After hearing this, Luo Qiao said, "Then why don’t you give him a comforting call, tell him I’ve arrived, and we’re going to have a big al later."
Emma burst into laughter, "You’re crueler than I am."
She pulled out her phone and dialed, "Hi, Steven, I’ve picked up Luo, are you done with your work? We’re planning to have a seafood feast later."
On the other end, Steven rubbed his forehead, "Is this your idea or Luo’s idea? Let guess, you definitely wouldn’t treat like this, it must be Luo."
Emma laughed so hard she nearly dropped the phone, "Steven, you’re really too clever."
Emma handed the phone to Luo Qiao, "You say a few words to him."
"Hi, Steven, how’s it going, are you more driven crazy? By the way, I brought you Beijing roast duck, want to join us for dinner?"
"Luo, you’re so naughty."
Then he laughed, "Welco, my friend."
Luo Qiao then replied with a laugh, "Does Emma know where you are right now?"
Steven quickly thought it through, "Luo, you’re not planning to send food, are you?"
Luo Qiao laughed, "Congratulations, you got it right, I’ll have so roast ducks sent to you later so you can share with your colleagues."
"Oh, thank you, Luo."
He hung up the phone and got in the car to head straight back to Emma’s house in New York.
This was Emma’s own property. She knew Luo Qiao liked peace and quiet, and she was worried Emma might not feel comfortable, so she let her stay here for a few days.
After the bachelorette party, they’d head back to the main house together.
Luo Qiao took a few roast ducks and so Beijing pastries and handed them to Emma to have soone send them to Steven.
She then took her clothes and went to take a shower.
Once she was all cleaned up, the two of them happily went out the door.
Emma started to chatter with Luo Qiao about the things that happened in the years they were apart. Although they had ntioned them over the phone, seeing her in person, Emma still wanted to say it all over again.
She also ntioned that she had returned to working at the family’s laboratory, and she was very busy every day, complaining to Luo Qiao that now Steven had little ti to accompany her.
Luo Qiao just listened along, occasionally responding with a gentle hum.
By the ti they reached the restaurant, everything had already been arranged. Emma had called in advance before heading over, and the server led them to the designated window seat. The dishes quickly arrived, all ones that Luo Qiao loved to eat.
The two of them had endless things to talk about.
Emma had been dieting these past few days, fearing she wouldn’t look good in her wedding dress, but with Luo Qiao accompanying her, she accidentally ate a bit too much today.
