“The paperwork is mostly done, and the office space is being renovated. By late July, it should be ready to kick off,” she replied.
Luo Qiao leaned against him, “Brother Chen, you’ll support , right?”
“Of course. As long as it’s sothing you want to do, I’ll support you. Besides, it’s such a good thing—how could I not support it?”
“Thank you. I just want to do everything I can to give back to society, to lend a hand to those in need. Sotis, one helping hand might change a person’s destiny, even their entire life.”
“Hmm, I understand.”
Luo Qiao teased him lightly, “Look at you, so fortunate. You married such a good wife.”
Lu Yichen affectionately kissed the top of her head. “You’re absolutely right. I did marry a wife who’s smart, capable, beautiful, kind-hearted, righteous, and adorable.”
With that, he scooped her up and headed toward the Spatial Bamboo House. Luo Qiao was startled, “Put down! I’ve been exhausted all day!”
Only after entering the Bamboo Building did Lu Yichen set her down. He chuckled lowly and asked, “Qiao Bao, tell what was running through your mind just now?”
Just as Luo Qiao was about to raise her hand to hit him, she saw a tub already filled with water sprinkled with rose petals. Her raised hand froze mid-air, and an unexpected wave of tender emotion washed over her.
Lu Yichen gently touched her head. “You’ve been worn out all day, Qiao Bao. You care about , but I also care about you. Take a nice hot bath, and let’s get to bed early to rest.”
Seeing her clothes already prepared, Luo Qiao felt a sweetness in her heart.
After finishing her bath and changing, Lu Yichen cleaned up the tub.
When he returned, he naturally took the towel from Luo Qiao’s hands and helped her dry her hair. Looking at his delicate and lovely wife, he thought, if he didn’t act on this mont, it would be a disservice to himself.

Before Luo Qiao could respond, she was already being carried upstairs.

The next day, Luo Qiao had just arrived at the hospital when she was imdiately assigned to perform a surgery before even reaching the outpatient clinic.
As she ca out of the operating room, a crowd instantly rushed toward her. “Doctor, how’s my nephew?”
“Doctor, how’s my younger cousin?”
Among the crowd stood several others at the back, looking rather disheveled.
When Luo Qiao first saw the injured patient, a thought crossed her mind: “What kind of person could inflict harm this severe? Just a bit worse, and this patient might’ve been gone altogether.”
Clearing her throat, she said, “His life has been saved, but the injuries are severe. Whether he can survive depends on his own will to live.”
With a tinge of indignation, she added, “If it weren’t for his luck, he might be in the morgue right now.”
The patient’s uncle, his eyes red, glared at the n standing in the rear. Gritting his teeth, he spat, “If my nephew has even the slightest mishap, I’ll make sure you all taste a bullet.”
“Qiu Minghai, you scum, you’re less than human! No—calling you an animal would be an insult to animals!”
Witnessing this scene, Luo Qiao roughly pieced together what had transpired. Glancing at the disheveled n, she shook her head and walked away.
She hadn’t gone far when she spotted several police officers heading their way.
