As soon as Luo Qiao’s car stopped, soone ca over to greet them.
Once the group got out of the car, many people stared in their direction.
The mont the two cars arrived, Ning Xueling’s gaze never left them, and when she saw who was stepping out, her heart raced—finally, they had arrived.
As they approached, Ning Xueling introduced, clinging to He Qiuping, "These are Xuyan and Xuyuan, and behind them are Siyan and Siyuan."
She then pointed at Luo Qiao, "This is Luo Qiao and her husband Lu Yichen."
The group of six just nodded slightly, no one spoke.
He Qiuping, aware of his wife’s strained relationship with these children, quickly said, "Thank you all for coming today, please co inside and sit."
He personally led them in, made arrangents, and then ca back out.
The people nearby started whispering, "Who are these people?"
A love-struck voice murmured softly, "They look really good."
"That seat must have been specially reserved for them."
Then, they saw soone from the bride’s family side coming over to greet them, "Could these be the bride’s children?"
"It’s possible, or why else would her brothers and sisters-in-law all go there?"
A young girl at the table slipped out and after a while, ca running back, "Yes, they are the bride’s sons, daughter, and son-in-law."
"From their attire, they seem well-off, and they’re so attractive, I wonder if they are married?"
Ning Hongda and his brother were relieved to see their nephews, niece, and son-in-law arrive. They had been worried that they wouldn’t co, and they would have had difficulty explaining it to their sister.
They knew their nephews were probably unhappy, but now they had put their pride at risk, and there would be no bla whatever the nephews felt.
Their nephews had notably been absent from family gatherings since the second year of middle school, clearly holding a grudge.
Although their relationship had not been as good as before, they still had to maintain appearances. This year, because they pressured their nephews to attend the wedding, the nephews didn’t even co to their doors.
Zhang Yuehua ca over and asked, "Qiaoqiao, when did you get back?"
Luo Qiao replied with a smile, "I ca back on the twenty-ninth of the twelfth lunar month."
"Is everything good outside?"
"Yes, everything is quite fine."
"Did you bring the little ones back too?"
"Yes, we all ca back together."
Ning Lingyuan, from the sidelines, asked, "Why didn’t you bring them over? We haven’t t them yet."
Luo Qiao replied indifferently, "My dad is looking after them. It’s too cold to bring them out."
Feng Caiqin, the second aunt, quickly added, "Exactly, in such cold weather, it’s better for children to stay at ho."
Feng Caiqin glared at her son, thinking how inappropriate his words were. Those people only attended under the seniority pressure from his uncle and father, and yet he wanted to drag their children along too, clearly looking for trouble.
The nephews answered reluctantly, and the expressions of Ning Hongda and his brother were not pleasant either. It seed their relationship with their nephews had reached a breaking point; there was no saving face anymore, and it seed there would be no more interactions in the future.
Zhang Yuehua sighed deeply, her heart filled with resentnt towards her husband and brother-in-law. If it weren’t for the need to maintain decorum, she would have burst into scolding right there.
This was all for Ning Xueling, and it had completely offended the nephews.
Soon, mbers of the He family from the other side ca over. He Xialan, the sister of He Qiuping, cheerfully said, "These must be the nieces and nephews, right? We’re all family now, we should visit each other more often."
Luo Xuyuan looked at Ning Hongda with a mocking expression in his eyes.
Ning Hongda quickly stood up, "They are just here for the wedding, they didn’t co to recognize any relatives, please go back to your seats."
Followed by He Xialan, her brother He Dongping then said, "My big brother married their mom, doesn’t that make us their uncle and aunt? How can we not recognize each other as relatives?"
He didn’t care what others thought, smiling as he approached Luo Qiao, "This must be my older niece, you sure are beautiful."
He extended his hand to shake Luo Qiao’s, only to be stopped by Lu Yichen, "Can’t you understand human speech?"
He Dongping was sweating cold beads from the pain on his forehead, "I just wanted to get to know her, no other intention, let go, it’s really painful."
Seeing the situation worsening, He Qiuping’s daughter quickly went to the door to call her father. By the ti He Qiuping and Ning Xueling arrived, they saw He Dongping sweating profusely in the cold, with his wrist still held in Lu Yichen’s hand.
He Qiuping approached, "What’s going on here?"
He Dongping finally saw his savior, "Brother, brother, save , your son-in-law is about to crush my hand. I didn’t an anything else, I just wanted to get to know your step-daughter, my niece."
Ning Hongda was really fired up by now, this was unexpected. Initially, he had just wanted his nephews to co to show face for their mother, not to recognize relatives.
Ning Hongda ca over, "What relative are you recognizing? They don’t even acknowledge your brother, let alone you. You even wanted to shake hands with my niece. If it wasn’t for the occasion, I would’ve beaten you up."
He Dongping’s face turned extrely ugly, he said to his siblings, "If you’ve co to enjoy the banquet, I welco you, but if you’re here to create a scene, please leave."
He turned to look at Lu Yichen, "I apologize, my family was being inappropriate."
Soone ca over, "It’s ti, the wedding is about to start."
He Qiuping sent his sister and brother back to their seats, exchanged a few good words with Ning Xueling’s relatives and the Luo family siblings, then led Ning Xueling up to the stage.
Luo Xuyuan glanced at Ning Hongda, "Is this what you wanted? Not sure if you’re helping her or harming her. Is this just a showing up as you said? If any He family mbers cause trouble under our siblings’ na in the future, don’t bla us for being harsh."
Luo Qiao looked up to see Zhao Jianing coming in, whispered to her second brother, and then they both went towards the entrance, ushering Zhao Jianing out before she could even find a seat.
Indeed, she was here to cause trouble, wanting to embarrass Ning Xueling at her own wedding and to trample the Luo family. She ended up like this because of them.
But before she could act, she was dragged out, taken by the siblings to an alley not far from the restaurant. Luo Xuyuan wanted to start a fight but was stopped by Luo Qiao.
Luo Qiao pulled Luo Xuyuan away, stepped forward and started hitting without a word. Her blows were unlike others’, Zhao Jianing was in such pain she wished she could just die, but there wasn’t even a scratch on her skin.
Zhao Jianing was truly frightened, "Stop hitting, I’ll leave, won’t cause trouble anymore, really, believe , I won’t co after her anymore."
Luo Qiao, looking at Zhao Jianing curled up on the ground, said, "Don’t always think you’re the unfortunate one, if you have to bla, bla your biological parents, how can you bla others? Get lost."
Zhao Jianing, supporting herself against the wall, staggered to the other end of the alley. Luo Qiao and Luo Xuyuan then returned to the restaurant.
