Today’s competition still made its way around, and from ti to ti, groups of people would co over to the lab building, curious to see what the Chinese foreign student who defeated Soukai looked like.
Luo Qiao was getting a bit annoyed, so she asked Professor Wilson for so ti off and spent New Year’s Day at ho with the kids.
What she didn’t expect was that Emma and Steven would co over at noon, both of them carrying quite a few gifts.
Seeing them, Luo Qiao laughed and said, "How did you guys convince Professor Wilson?"
They glanced at each other, slightly embarrassed. Emma twirled her hair, "Would you believe if I said we promised to bring back so tasty treats for the professor?"
Luo Qiao started to laugh, increasingly feeling that the professor had been led astray by his wife, now having a particular liking for Chinese cuisine.
Steven even asked quietly, "Luo, do you have any of those Chinese dumplings today?"
He Qing, who had just co over, heard him and answered, "Yes, yes, yes, three kinds of fillings, guaranteed to satisfy you."
This seed to lift a weight off their shoulders, and Luo Qiao couldn’t help but find the situation humorous, thinking these foodies must have promised the professor they’d bring back dumplings.
They ca over to Luo Qiao’s place from ti to ti for als, and her family was already very familiar with them, so there were no reservations in their conversations.

anwhile, Kevin, who Luo Qiao had rescued from the water, caught a cold yesterday and had been lying at ho for a day. He was immune to Western dicine, and the family doctor didn’t have much of a solution, except to advise him to rest more.
After the family doctor left, the Butler said, "Ma’am, during the last visit to the classmate’s ho of the young master, the Chinese pills given by their parents were tested at the hospital and found to be fine. Do you think we should let the young master try them?"
Upon hearing the Butler’s suggestion, Emily looked up and asked, "There are absolutely no problems with it?"
The Butler nodded, "Yes, it has been tested in a lab and in two hospitals. The results are the sa, it’s safe."
She got up and headed to her son’s room. Kevin was frail, and without ticulous care during the winter, he could fall ill. Everyone in the family really couldn’t afford to be careless, yet still, he got sick.
Entering her son’s bedroom, her heart ached so much she wished she could take his place. If it hadn’t been for her own frail health, her son wouldn’t have been born prematurely like her, barely making it to term. Despite careful attention, a premature child’s constitution couldn’t match that of a normally developed child.
It was as if she made a decision, "Butler, fetch those Chinese pills and let’s give them to the young master."
The Butler left the room, and shortly returned with the porcelain bottle, instructed soone to prepare water, and personally administered the pills to the young master. Seeing no adverse reactions, everyone then left the room.
Half an hour later, soone ca to report, "Ma’am, the young master’s breathing has stabilized, there’s a slight sweat on his face, but his complexion looks much better than before."
Emily was sowhat excited upon hearing this. She had been worried the entire half-hour, and regrettably, her own frail body didn’t allow her to stay long in her son’s room.
She stood up and went to her son’s room, seeing her son’s furrowed brow relaxed, as if he had entered a deep sleep. She couldn’t help but feel even more grateful towards Luo Qiao.
A bit agitated, she said to the Butler behind her, "The Chinese pills are effective for Kevin, quickly have soone call the family doctor over."
Emily was truly happy now. If the traditional Chinese dicine pills worked for her son, then he wouldn’t have to endure illnesses on his own anymore. Tears uncontrollably stread down her face.
