Luo Qiao nodded, “Then, auntie, we are leaving now and will co back tomorrow afternoon.”
Upon reaching the inner courtyard, they saw Lu Yichen about to leave, “Where are you going?”
Hearing her, Lu Yichen finally relaxed, “It was getting dark, and I was just about to go find you all.”
Yanyan ran over, “Dad, Mom took us to do sothing aningful.”
Lu Yichen picked up his daughter, “Is that so? Why didn’t you tell Dad? When I ca ho and didn’t see you all, I waited anxiously and was really scared.”
Yanyan, feeling guilty after hearing her father’s words, said, “Sorry, Dad, I didn’t an to worry you.”
Lu Yichen smiled and kissed his daughter’s cheek, “It’s alright, as long as you are all safe.”
He smiled at his wife and daughter, stepped forward, and crouched down, “Yueyue, co, let Daddy hold you.”
Yueyue reached out her arms and hugged her father’s neck, “Thank you, Dad.”
Lu Yichen looked at Luo Qiao, “Wife, let’s go ho.”
Luo Qiao smiled and asked, “Is Yiting back yet?”
Lu Yichen indulgently replied, “She’s back. How could I not follow your arrangents?”
Luo Qiao playfully punched him, “Don’t be cheeky.”
Lu Yiting, hearing the noise outside, ca out smiling at the sight of her family, “Sister-in-law, you’re finally back. You had my brother so worried.”
Yanyan, seeing her aunt, struggled to get down from her father’s arms, “Auntie.”
Luo Qiao said, “Auntie is carrying your little brother now, so she can’t hold you. Be calm.”
Yanyan giggled, “I know. I just wanted to show Auntie our little amusent park. When the little brother is born, we’ll take him to play.”
Luo Qiao reached out and ruffled her daughter’s hair, “Auntie needs to be protected right now. She can’t run around or bump into anything. Have you got that?”
Yanyan nodded, “I know, Mom.”
Yanyan took her sister’s hand, “Let’s take Auntie to see it together.”
Watching the three walk away, Luo Qiao then looked at Lu Yichen, “Brother Chen, when do you have vacations?”
Lu Yichen smiled, “I can take leave starting tomorrow, but I’m on duty tomorrow night and can’t join you for the New Year’s Eve dinner.”
Luo Qiao pouted, “It’s really tough being the chief. Fine, I’ll bring you so dumplings.”
Lu Yichen pulled her into an embrace, “Thank you for understanding, darling.”
That evening, Rong Daniang made many delicious dishes for Lu Yiting, who enjoyed them imnsely.
After dinner, Luo Qiao washed so fruit, “Yiting, when is Xiangrui coming back tomorrow?”
Lu Yiting’s face was full of smiles, “He said he’d take a bus early in the morning and should be back by around two in the afternoon.”
Luo Qiao prepared the fruit, “Alright, then. I’ll prepare so things for you to take back.”
Lu Yiting looked at Luo Qiao, “Sister-in-law, there’s no need. He’ll be back by then, and we can just go to the market together.”
Luo Qiao pushed the fruit towards her, “Tomorrow is the thirtieth. By the ti he returns, it’ll be past two, and the vendors will be closing for New Year’s. Besides, your in-laws know that Yipin is mine. Today, I asked Brother Xianglin for a favor, so it only makes sense to send so things back with you.”
Lu Yiting, feeling slightly embarrassed, responded, “Alright then. Thank you, sister-in-law.”
Luo Qiao made a phone call, asking Yipin to deliver so items on the way tomorrow morning.
Lu Yichen was happily playing with the two children, and Luo Qiao said, “Brother Chen, call Dad and ask him to co back earlier tomorrow.”

He talked briefly with his daughters before standing up to walk towards the phone, ready to call their father and send so warmth.
Lu Yiting watched her brother and sister-in-law interact, feeling envious but also realizing the truth in the saying, “Choose a wife, choose wisely.” In her heart, she admired her sister-in-law even more.
The next day, Luo Qiao’s donation to the welfare institute made the news. However, her identity wasn’t revealed; instead, she was simply referred to as a compassionate citizen.
While so knew that most goods ca from the departnt store, only Manager Yan and the finance departnt knew who had paid. Luo Qiao had already instructed them not to disclose this.
The newspaper report spurred many compassionate citizens to donate to the welfare institute, easing its predicant temporarily.
