The stage lights hit suddenly. Ten thousand faces stared up at them, a sea of expectation.
Silviana’s voice bood across the plaza.
"Tonight, we witness unity through art! Through passion! Through the joining of our peoples in celebration!"
The crowd roared approval.
Beside her, Aria stepped forward, smaller but no less commanding.
"Let this performance remind us that our strength lies not in division, but in harmony. Not in fear, but in understanding."
[Easy for her to say. She’s not about to grind on soone in front of everyone.]
The music started—drums and strings and sothing that sounded like wind through trees. Rakia grabbed lisa’s hand, pulling her to center stage.
"Ready?"
"No."
"Perfect!"
Rakia’s body began to move, flowing with the rhythm. Her bells chid with each hip roll, creating a secondary lody. lisa tried to follow, her body rembering the endless hours of practice.
Left foot, right foot, spin—
Her heel caught the edge of her ridiculous skirt. She pitched forward, arms windmilling.
Rakia caught her, spinning the stumble into a dip that looked intentional. Her face was inches from lisa’s, grinning.
"I’ve got you," she whispered, then loud enough for the front rows: "You can’t escape that easily!"
The crowd laughed. So whistled.
Rakia pulled her up and they moved together, bodies pressed close. The choreography was basically vertical sex—all grinding hips and wandering hands and synchronized breathing. lisa’s tail wrapped around Rakia’s waist without conscious thought.
[Don’t think about the crowd. Don’t think about everyone watching. Don’t think about—fuck, is that my mother cheering?]
The music built to a crescendo. This was the big mont. Rakia dropped to her knees, hands sliding up lisa’s thighs as she rose, lifting the already tiny skirt even higher.
The crowd went wild.
lisa’s face burned purple, but she held the pose, back arched, one hand in Rakia’s hair.
Then the spin sequence. This ti she nailed it, her tail creating patterns in the air. Rakia matched her movent for movent, their bodies in perfect sync.
The final position had Rakia bent backward over lisa’s knee, throat exposed, pulse visible. They held it for three beats.
Silence.
Then thunder. The plaza erupted in applause and cheers and foot-stomping that shook the stage.
"We did it!" Rakia squealed, bouncing up and throwing her arms around lisa’s neck. "You were perfect!"
"I almost ate shit twice!"
"Twice is better than three tis!"
They bowed, hands clasped, as flowers and coins sailed onto the stage.
[Holy fuck. We actually pulled it off.]
Backstage was chaos. Perforrs rushed to congratulate them, stage hands scrambled to set up the next act, and sowhere lisa’s mother was definitely yelling "THAT’S MY DAUGHTER!"
"Five minutes until the unity ceremony!" the stage manager called.
"Already?" lisa was still catching her breath.
"The show doesn’t stop!" Rakia kissed her cheek. "You were magnificent. Now go make out with the Matriarch!"
"That’s not—"
But Rakia had already disappeared into the crowd of perforrs.
A nim stagehand approached, carrying a massive brass brazier for the next act—fire dancers, from the look of the equipnt.
"Excuse , Lady Blackfla, coming through—"
The brazier suddenly tilted. Oil splashed across the stage boards. The nim girl stumbled, trying to correct, but the weight was all wrong. The whole thing was going to crash—
CLANG.
tal hit wood with enough force to splinter boards. Burning oil spread in a widening pool. The nim girl scrambled back, eyes wide with horror.
"I’m sorry! I don’t know what happened! It just—the balance was—"
"Sabotage," lisa said quietly, kneeling by the brazier. The support rod had been cut nearly through, designed to snap under weight. "Soone made sure this would fail."
But the crowd was already reacting.
"Stupid nim!"
"Can’t even carry things properly!"
"They’re trying to ruin the festival!"
A kitsune perforr shoved the nim girl.
"Watch where you’re going!"
"I didn’t an—"
"Sure you didn’t!"
More kitsune gathered, voices rising. The nim girl backed against the wall. Other nim stagehands moved to protect her, which only made things worse.
"Look, they’re banding together!"
"Probably planned this!"
[Shit. This is exactly what the Shadow Mages wanted.]
lisa stepped between the groups.
"Stop. Everyone just stop."
"Get out of the way, mage. This doesn’t concern you."
"It does when soone’s trying to start a riot." She held up the broken support rod. "Look at this. Cut deliberately. Soone wanted this to fail and bla the nim."
"Convenient excuse—"
"ENOUGH."
Silviana’s voice cracked like a whip. The Matriarch strode through the crowd, her presence making everyone step back. She took the rod from lisa, examining it.
"Cut with magic," she announced. "Recent. Within the last hour." Her eyes swept the crowd. "Soone among us is trying to destroy this festival. Trying to divide us."
She helped the nim girl to her feet.
"What’s your na?"
"L-Lira, Matriarch."
"Lira, you did nothing wrong. Soone used you." She raised her voice. "Soone is using ALL of us. Nim and kitsune alike. They want us at each other’s throats."
The crowd shuffled, anger cooling into uncertainty.
"But we won’t give them that satisfaction." Silviana’s tails spread wide, commanding. "Tonight is about unity. About showing that we’re stronger together. So I ask you—will you let saboteurs win? Or will you stand together?"
Slowly, a kitsune perforr offered her hand to Lira. The nim girl took it tentatively.
"I’m sorry," the kitsune said. "I shouldn’t have pushed you."
"It’s okay. Everyone’s on edge."
Others began apologizing, nim and kitsune mingling again. The crisis passed.
For now.
Silviana touched lisa’s arm.
"Quick thinking."
"It was obvious sabotage."
"Obvious to you. Others see what they expect to see." She sighed. "This won’t be the last attempt tonight."
"I know."
"Stay alert. And lisa?" Her voice dropped. "That performance was incredibly arousing."
Before lisa could respond, the stage manager was calling places for the unity ceremony.
They stood on opposite sides of the stage. Silviana radiated confidence and sexuality. lisa tried not to fidget with her chains.
Lord Yoshimitsu gave another speech about unity and bonds and bridging differences. The crowd listened politely while obviously waiting for the actual show.
"And now," she finally concluded, "the ceremonial joining!"
Music swelled—sothing slow and sensual. Silviana walked toward lisa with predatory grace, every step deliberate. Her hips rolled. Her tails swayed. Her massive cock was barely contained by the ceremonial silk.
[Oh fuck she’s actually going to—]
Silviana’s hand cupped lisa’s face. The other settled on her waist, pulling her close.
"Relax," she murmured. "Enjoy it."
Then she kissed her.
Not a ceremonial peck. Not a chaste political gesture.
Silviana kissed her like she was trying to claim her soul.
Her tongue swept into lisa’s mouth, demanding and skilled. The hand on lisa’s waist pulled her flush against Silviana’s body, tits pressed together, cock grinding against lisa’s thigh. The kiss deepened, Silviana’s teeth catching lisa’s bottom lip.
lisa’s knees went weak. Her tail wrapped around Silviana’s leg for balance. A moan escaped before she could stop it, loud enough for the enhanced acoustics to carry.
The crowd went absolutely feral.
When Silviana finally pulled back, lisa was panting. Her whole body tingled with absorbed Essence.
"Perfect," Silviana said, just for her. Then to the crowd: "Unity!"
The plaza erupted. Nim and kitsune cheered together, the earlier tension forgotten in the wake of what they’d just witnessed.
[I need to sit down. Or a cold shower. Or to explode.]
They bowed together, Silviana’s hand never leaving lisa’s waist.
"Still interested in those diplomatic relations?" the Matriarch whispered.
lisa’s face burned purple.
As they left the stage, she caught sight of her friends in the crowd. Isabella was giving her two thumbs up while grinding against Armia. Raven looked thoughtful. Margaret was fanning herself. And Aria...
Aria’s expression was unreadable.
[This is going to be a very long night.]
