{lisa}

lisa watched, transfixed, as Isabella's miniature tornado danced on her palm.

[Wow, that was amazing!] lisa thought, her eyes sparkling. [I've never really delved into Wind magic before, but seeing Isabella wield it like that... I definitely need to do so research when I get back to the dorm.]

As Isabella returned to her seat, basking in the applause of her classmates, the professor cleared his throat, drawing everyone's attention back to the front of the room.

"Thank you for that excellent demonstration, Miss Isabella," he said, nodding appreciatively. "Your control over Wind magic is quite remarkable for soone your age. Which brings to our next topic: affinities."

The professor began to pace, his hands clasped behind his back as he launched into his lecture.

"As you may have noticed, so of you may find certain types of magic co more naturally to you than others. This is because everyone has an affinity, a school of magic that resonates with their innermost being."

lisa frowned when she heard that.

[An affinity? But I haven't felt particularly drawn to any one type of magic. I an, I've tried Elental spells and a few others, but nothing's really stood out as being easier or stronger for .]

She thought back to her experints with magic over the past few years, trying to recall if she'd ever felt a particular surge of power or ease when casting certain spells.

[Then again, I haven't exactly tried every school of magic out there. So, apparently, are pretty hard to research unless you look in specific places.]

She reminded herself of the different schools of magic:

Elental, Arcane, Life, and Mind.

There were other minor schools, but these were the most prominent.

[I've never even seen Arcane, Mind, or Life magic. Maybe I just haven't found my affinity yet.]

The professor continued, oblivious to lisa's internal musings.

"Of course, having an affinity doesn't an you can't learn and master spells from other schools. It simply ans that you may have an easier ti with certain types of magic, and your spells in that school may be more potent."

lisa nodded slowly.

She glanced over at Isabella, who was listening intently to the professor's words.

[I wonder what her affinity is. Wind, obviously, is one of them, but maybe she has others too. I'll have to ask her later.]

---

As the Introduction to Spellcrafting class dragged on, lisa found herself fighting the urge to yawn.

Her enthusiasm for the Prestige Courses had slowly but surely dimd.

[Seriously? This is all stuff I figured out when I was 9,] she thought, her eyes glazing over as the professor droned on about the basics of spellsign construction and Essence manipulation. [Co on. Give sothing new to work with here.]

She idly doodled in her notebook, her mind wandering to more interesting topics, like the research she planned to do on Wind magic.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the class ca to an end. lisa gathered her things, eager to move on to Magical Theory and hopefully learn sothing that would actually show her sothing new.

As she stepped out into the hallway, a familiar voice called out to her.

"lisa! Wait up!"

Suddenly, lisa found herself engulfed in a warm, fluffy embrace as Isabella threw her arms around her from behind.

"Oof! Isabella, haha, what the-"

Isabella nuzzled her face against lisa's neck, her tail swishing happily behind her.

"I almost missed you!" she chirped, planting a kiss on lisa's cheek. "Wasn't that class just the most boring thing ever? I thought I was going to die of old age before it ended!"

[God, she's still so fucking cute.]

lisa sighed. If soone was going to be as pushy as Isabella, having them be this adorable did alleviate what would otherwise be a simple annoyance.

[Maybe this is exactly what I need,] she mused, thinking back to her mother's warnings about the challenges of being a nim. [Having soone who's so open and affectionate, who doesn't shy away from physical contact... it could help stay grounded.] She glanced at Isabella. [She probably knows that, doesn't she?]

Plus, she had to admit, it was heartwarming to have soone so genuinely excited to see her.

"It was pretty dull," lisa agreed. She made no effort to extract herself from Isabella's hold, figuring there was no reason to. "But hey, at least we got to see your aweso Wind magic in action. That was seriously impressive."

Isabella bead, her eyes sparkling.

"You really think so? I've been working on that spell for ages. I want to be the strongest sorceress in the world soday, you know. And, I think Wind magic might just be my avenue toward that path."

lisa raised an eyebrow, intrigued.

"The strongest sorceress, huh? That's a pretty big goal. What made you decide on that?"

Isabella shrugged, looping her arm through lisa's as they walked.

"If sothing interests you, is it not then your responsibility to be the best at it?" Hearing Isabella talk was odd. Her accent and voice made her sound like a stereotypical gyaru, but here she was, speaking so honest-to-God wisdom. "Having an interest and not putting your heart into it, not striving to be the very best at it...

I believe it's a disservice to yourself and a disservice to everyone who's ever practiced that hobby as well."

"Wow," lisa blinked. She couldn't say she expected such a reasoning out of a girl who looked as carefree as Isabella.

[I guess I should try to get to know her a little better.]

"Plus," she added, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper, "if I'm the strongest sorceress, that ans I can protect those I love. Like you~"

Isabella's words continued to echo in lisa's mind as they made their way to Magical Theory.

The kitsune's bubbly deanor took on a new light now that lisa had a glimpse into the gears making her mind work.

[She's not just so airhead,] lisa realized, a newfound respect blossoming in her chest. [There's a real fire inside her. A passion for excellence. I can relate.]

It was an attractive quality, lisa had to admit.

As they entered the Magical Theory classroom, lisa was surprised to find the desks arranged in a circle, with the professor standing in the center. It was a far cry from the traditional lecture-style setup she'd been expecting.

"Welco, class," the professor greeted them, her voice rich and surprisingly sweet. "In this course, we will be delving into the deeper questions surrounding magic. The ethics, the history, the very nature of the power we wield."

lisa leaned forward, intrigued.

The professor began by outlining the four main schools of magic - Elental, Arcane, Life, and Mind - and the unique characteristics and applications of each.

"Now, can anyone tell why most forms of Life magic, outside of healing, are illegal?" she asked, her gaze sweeping over the room.

A hand shot up, belonging to a sharp-featured human boy.

"Because it's unnatural," he said, his voice dripping with disdain. "ssing with the fundantal forces of life and death, it goes against the natural order of things."

The professor nodded, but her expression was neutral.

"That is one perspective, yes. But consider this: is not all magic, in a sense, unnatural? We are bending the very fabric of reality to our will, after all."

The professor paced side-to-side.

"Healing, interestingly enough, is not outlawed. It's not hard to see why, of course, given its practical benefits. But I ask you," she smirked, "is restoring a wound not equally as unnatural as making one?"

The class grew silent.

One girl threw a hand up.

"Um... Ma'am, are you advocating for blood magic?"

"Ha!" The professor shook her head with a smile. "Not at all. If Healing is legal due to its practical benefits, then it makes perfect sense for blood magic to be illegal due to its pervasive and abhorrent consequences. I rely ask that you think more deeply about the magic you are all trying to wield. That is all."

The class continued in this vein, exploring the history and implications of each magical school.

lisa found herself thoroughly engrossed, her pen flying across the pages of her notebook as she jotted down every thought-provoking point and counter-argunt the professor made.

By the ti the class ended, lisa's head was buzzing.

She barely registered Isabella's hand on her arm as the kitsune led her out of the classroom, too caught up in her own musings to pay much attention to their surroundings.

That is until she found herself being pushed into a bathroom, the door swinging shut behind them with a click.

"Isabella, what-"

But her words were cut off as Isabella pressed her up against the wall.

lisa's eyes widened. Isabella had a big smirk on her face.

"Finally, I have you all to myself," the kitsune purred, her face re inches from lisa's. "I thought that class would never end."

lisa's heart raced, her body responding instinctively to the heat of Isabella's proximity. The air between them seed to crackle with tension, a heady mix of desire and anticipation.

[Oh, god. Is this really happening? Here, now, in the middle of the school day?]

But even as her rational mind tried to assert itself, lisa found herself leaning into Isabella's touch, her eyes fluttering closed as the kitsune's breath ghosted across her skin.

"Izzy," she managed, her voice breathy and weak. "We can't... not here..."

"Shh," Isabella murmured, trailing a finger along lisa's jawline. "Just relax, lisa. Let take care of you."

She felt the coolness of the wall against her back as Isabella's slender, but surprisingly strong fra kept her in place.

The fox girl's warm breath fanned across her lips.

"M-Maybe we should-" lisa's voice wavered, her hands instinctively pushing against Isabella's shoulders.

But, in the process, her fingers ended up curling into the soft fabric of Isabella's shirt instead of shoving her away.

Isabella's lips quirked into a knowing smile.

"Should what, lisa?" she purred, her voice a low, velvety murmur that sent shivers down lisa's spine. "You need this, don't you?"

lisa stopped.

Isabella wasn't wrong.

lisa took a deep breath. That, shy, nervous girl within her, trying to push Isabella away, was snuffed out in an instant.

[I... I do need this,] lisa swallowed, reaching over and holding Isabella's cheeks softly. [I can't deny that.]

Isabella looked absolutely ecstatic.

Before lisa could say anything, Isabella's mouth claid hers.

lisa's protests lted away as Isabella's tongue swept into her mouth, coaxing a soft moan from deep within her.

This was it. Her first kiss.

On the very first day of school, no less.

Her resolve crumbled, hands sliding up to tangle in Isabella's hair, the silky, pink strands slipping through her fingers like water.

The kiss deepened, Isabella's body pressing harder against lisa's.

The kiss started off slow, a gentle eting of lips that sent a warm shiver through lisa. Isabella's soft, plush lips moved slowly, savoring the mont. lisa's breath hitched when she felt Isabella's tongue poke at her lips. As she granted access to it, the kiss deepened, growing more fervent.

The fox girl's hands road over lisa's body, pulling her closer, pressing her against the wall harder.

lisa felt like she could get lost in this. It felt great. She could make out with Isabella for the rest of the day, if she wasn't careful.

But, then, lisa felt sothing poke her abdon.

[Hm?]

She glanced down.

lisa gasped.

She broke the kiss, eyes wide with shock.

Isabella had a dick.
