Shao Xingbang chuckled, and he also stood up, lifting his glass to clink gently against Liang Wei’s, “You don’t have to thank ! I really like Wenfeng; I can’t stand to see him being bullied!”

Liang Wei choked on the food she hadn’t swallowed properly, taken aback. She coughed a couple of tis and drank several gulps of the half bottle of orange soda left by her son to ease the discomfort.

But I am not worthy of you! I am not only a widow but also have a child. We’re just not a good match!

Liang Wei knew she was already moved by Shao Xingbang, but she forced herself not to do anything shaless and despicable.

Liang Wei took a quiet deep breath, mustering her courage to look up at Shao Xingbang, “Uncle-in-law! I’ll say it again—it’s not that you aren’t good, but that I don’t want to be in a relationship! I’ve finished eating, there are things to take care of at the factory, so I’m leaving first!”
Shao Xingbang didn’t try to detain her forcibly, but stood up as well, “Then I’ll see you out!”
“No need, Uncle-in-law! The factory is close. I can walk,” Liang Wei insisted, noticing he was flushed from drinking and couldn’t help but add, “Drive slowly!”
