Chapter 755: Chapter 754: Bad Character!

Lu Zheng took Keke, and though he could tell Lu Qing was making an excuse, he didn’t call her out on it, “Go ahead!”

Lu Qing hurriedly stood up and left.

Seeing his grandfather staring longingly at Keke in his arms, Lu Zheng suppressed a smile and asked, “Grandpa, would you like to hold Keke for a while?”

“Sure!” Lu Guangqi, delighted yet worried about his cold hands, rubbed them together before taking Keke from Lu Zheng’s hands.

The chubby little Keke, once in his arms, was initially very well-behaved, curiously looking around.

Lu Guangqi felt that his heart had beco unusually tender because of this child.

Perhaps Lu Guangqi’s way of showing affection was teasing the child. He looked down at Keke sitting on his lap and said sowhat sternly, “You little girl better not pee on !”

And, oh no—that comnt stirred up a hornet’s nest!

Although Keke couldn’t understand what it ant, she could tell from the tone that it wasn’t sothing pleasant.

She pouted and started crying, stretching her little arms desperately toward Lu Pengcheng, not wanting to stay in Lu Guangqi’s arms at all.

Lu Guangqi tried to soothe her but to no avail, and finally, though reluctantly, he had to hand the child over to Lu Pengcheng.

Fang Youlan couldn’t help but complain, “Why did you have to tease the child like that! You’ve made her cry twice now!”

She was most fond of her great-grandson, but seeing her great-granddaughter, who was as adorable as a porcelain doll, she quite liked her too.

She was definitely not pleased to see the child cry because of Lu Guangqi.

Lu Guangqi awkwardly waved his hand, “Co on! I was just happy to see the child for once and wanted to play with her!”

Fang Youlan’s eyes twinkled, seizing the opportunity to make a point, “I really don’t know what to say about you! The child is still unfamiliar with you! If you want to play, you should at least wait until the child gets to know you. Just like how your eldest son and his father-in-law spend every day with the child…”

Lu Guangqi could not pretend to misunderstand his spouse’s pointed words, why must she bring up topics that are hard to respond to when everyone had finally co together this year?

He abruptly cut her off, “It’s Chinese New Year! Let’s not talk about this now!”

Fang Youlan didn’t want to listen to him anymore; she turned to Lu Pengcheng and asked, “Eldest! When are you moving back to your own house after the New Year? It’s inconvenient for your father and to see the child!”

Lu Pengcheng had already thought about these issues. He had wanted to move after Lin Xia’s confinent, but had delayed due to his father-in-law’s situation.

Before the New Year, he had discussed it with Shao irou, agreeing that living at his father-in-law’s place was not a long-term solution, and he hoped to live at their own ho.

“We’ll move back after the fifteenth!”

Fang Youlan showed joy at the news, “Really? That’s wonderful! It will be so convenient to see the child then!”

Lu Guangqi didn’t say anything, but his pleased expression was quite evident.

Listening from the side, Lu Zheng respected his parents’ opinions and understood his father’s feelings of dependency living at his grandfather’s house.

But he couldn’t help worrying about his grandfather adapting to the lively ho turning quiet.

Lu Qing first went to the restroom, and after coming out, she entered the kitchen to talk to Lin Xia, “Sister-in-law, there’s sothing I need to talk about!”

She had decided to share the things she had kept to herself with Lin Xia, as keeping them bottled up was too uncomfortable.

Lin Xia put down the knife she was holding and nodded eagerly, “Sure!”

Song Wanjun, worried about her daughter causing displeasure during the New Year, quickly followed up with, “Qingqing! What do you and your sister-in-law have to talk about that you need to do it behind our backs?”

“Oh, mom! Just relax!” Lu Qing blushed slightly, realizing she was now seen as a troublemaker in her mother’s eyes.

Once the two entered the room that Fang Youlan had arranged for Lin Xia and the others.

Lu Qing got straight to the point, “Sister-in-law! I just heard about it, the younger uncle from the Shao Family brought back his girlfriend, and it’s Ji Man!”

Lin Xia humd quietly, waiting for her to continue.

Lu Qing was filled with righteous indignation, very excited, “How could she be worthy of the younger uncle! Besides, if they really get married, what would we even call her? It doesn’t even co out right!”

In her eyes, the Shao Family’s younger uncle ca from a good family and was witty and talented. Even though he was sowhat older, he shouldn’t be matched with soone as petty as Ji Man, should he?

Lin Xia smiled faintly, “That’s their business! It’s not good for us juniors to interfere!”

She realized that people’s emotions really do settle down over ti.

Yesterday morning, Lin Xia was so angry after hearing what Ji Man had said that she complained to Lu Zheng for a long ti, but after this whole day and night, she didn’t feel as emotionally charged anymore.

Whether the younger uncle and Ji Man are together or not, that’s their business.

However, she could see that sothing was off between the two, and it seed that a gap had inevitably ford between them.

Without any hesitation, Lu Qing then said, “Sister-in-law! At this point, I have nothing to hide from you, why I suddenly changed my attitude towards you right after your wedding back in your hotown, it was actually related to Ji Man!”

“It was related to her?” Lin Xia had already guessed so of the reasons why Lu Qing had suddenly turned hostile towards her.

Lu Qing rubbed her ear sowhat embarrassedly, as she was actually older than Lin Xia and felt shaful for acting so naïvely and without subtlety.

“Yes! After your wedding, she deliberately told about Jiang Mingyuan liking you and also spoke ill of you.

At that ti, I had just been rejected by Jiang Mingyuan, feeling completely shaken as I had never faced such a blow before.

Therefore, I transferred all my resentnt and frustration onto you! Looking back now, I was really foolish and naive…

This definitely needs to be brought to the attention of the younger uncle. Ji Man’s character is not good at all. If she really gets together with the younger uncle from the Shao Family, there will be no peace at ho!”

anwhile, Shao Chengzhi’s place was also bustling with activity as Shao Xingde’s entire family ca over to celebrate the New Year.

Shao Xingde was the most worry-free among Shao Chengzhi’s children, helping to look after his younger siblings when he was small.

After he grew up and started working, got married, and had children, he never caused any worry to his father.

Shao Xingde’s wife, Xi Qiaozhen, got along with Shao Xingbang like real siblings, and she wasn’t impressed with Ji Man, but she certainly didn’t say anything in front of everyone else.

Only when she found an opportunity to go with Shao Xingbang to the storage room did she speak up, “Xingbang! Your little girlfriend seems to be quite the operator!”

Shao Xingbang knew his sister-in-law treated him like her own brother, and such a remark definitely ant she was insinuating sothing, so he smiled helplessly, “Big sister! Just say what you want to say!”

Xi Qiaozhen spoke bluntly, “Then big sister won’t beat around the bush! I think the girl has good looks and stature, but her eyes seem too greedy.

I’m not familiar with what kind of family background this girl has, but from a cold gaze, she seems quite false everywhere! Also, with the age difference between you two, I’m really worried that what she’s attracted to is not you as a person, but your conditions and the Shao Family backing you!”

She knew that after so many years her brother-in-law had not found a suitable partner, and it wasn’t easy to finally bring soone ho.

But because of this, she felt it was even more necessary to tell the truth.
