The next morning, Lu Zheng took Lin Xia to see Grandfather Liao for a pulse check.
This was Lin Xia’s second visit. The last ti, it was her mother-in-law, Shao irou, who had brought her over.

All of a sudden, Old Liao looked at them and asked, “Do you like girls?”
“Yes!” Lin Xia quickly exchanged a look with Lu Zheng behind her, wondering if Grandfather Liao had determined the sex of the baby through the pulse.
Was she really carrying a girl?
Old Liao just smiled and didn’t answer, but then he turned to Lu Zheng and asked, “What about you, Lu Zheng?”
Lu Zheng’s gaze was firm, “I like it too! Grandfather Liao! Is my wife really carrying a girl?”
His emotions were a mix of complexity right then, filled with joy, anticipation, and a touch of worry.
Old Liao laughed, “I can’t be sure! According to the pulse, a fast pulse on the left indicates a boy, on the right a girl.
And Lin Xia’s pulse,” he paused, “seems to suggest twins! But I can’t be too certain! Go to the hospital for an ultrasound check!”
Twins might be possible!
Lin Xia and Lu Zheng both widened their eyes, hardly believing what they heard!
Lu Zheng’s heart surged with ecstasy, his face glowing with excitent as he thanked Old Liao profusely, “Grandfather Liao! Thank you!”
Lin Xia was also thrilled, as if over the moon; she felt blessed by Heaven to have one child and had never dared to imagine that there could be two little lives in her womb.
Feeling their overwhelming joy, Old Liao smiled and waved his hands, “Don’t be too quick to thank ! Wait until the hospital check confirms they are twins, then it will not be too late to thank !”
Lu Zheng and Lin Xia hurriedly said goodbye to him and rushed to the hospital.
On the way, both of them were inevitably both excited and apprehensive.
Lu Zheng drove fast but was also extrely careful to watch the road conditions.

Shao irou was brooding internally over how to tell Lu Pengcheng, who had just returned, about what his mother had done.
And now there was the news of Lin Xia’s twins.
When Lu Pengcheng found out everything, his anger was inevitable.
Yet, she couldn’t predict what Lu Pengcheng’s rage would look like, nor how his mother-in-law would react upon finding out.
With raised eyebrows, Lu Pengcheng exclaid in surprise, “Tomorrow is New Year’s Eve! What is that rascal up to?”
He had thought his son would surely be inseparable from Lin Xia.
