229: Chapter 228: You’re Welco 229: Chapter 228: You’re Welco Jiang Mingyuan had exchanged a few words with Lu Zheng, but he just couldn’t keep the conversation going.

This guy usually answered with just two words, terribly dull.

Besides, he couldn’t stay at ho with Lu Zheng all the ti, the at they chopped still had to be cured.

Even if he were deliberately stalling, how long could he delay?

Lin Xia and Lu Zheng were bound to et eventually, and his mother was waiting to go ho after everything was ready!

So Jiang Mingyuan stood up and said, “Then you wait at ho!

I’ll go and switch Lin Xia back from the greenhouse!”

“I’ll go with you!” Lu Zheng stood up as well.

He wanted to see what Lin Xia was up to.

Jiang Mingyuan saw his determination and knew he couldn’t stop him.

“Okay!”

The two n walked out one after the other, with Jiang Mingyuan locking the door behind them and doing the sa after exiting the main gate.

Lu Zheng’s eyes twinkled slightly, thinking to himself that the kid was quite adept!

Lin Xia’s house wasn’t far from the greenhouse, and the two n walked in silence, both tall and with long strides, so they arrived soon enough.

Lu Zheng was curious about the so-called greenhouse, and only when he arrived did he realize it was quite large.

When he followed Jiang Mingyuan and found Lin Xia, she was selling goods, standing next to a kindly-looking elderly lady.

Lin Xia seed to sense sothing, glanced to the side, and saw Lu Zheng who had co with Jiang Mingyuan!

She stared wide-eyed, in disbelief, wondering how Lu Zheng could show up here all of a sudden!

“Lu Zheng!

You…” She hadn’t figured out how these two ended up together!

Did Lu Zheng go to her house?

Lu Zheng passed by Jiang Mingyuan and stood in front of Lin Xia.

Seeing the girl he had been thinking about right before him, he thought she had beco not only prettier but also more elegant.

Even though he was still used to being serious, his eyes carried a faint smile,

“Lin Xia!

I went to your house and happened to see Jiang Mingyuan there, so I followed him here!”

Mrs.

Zhao didn’t understand, she didn’t know who this tall young man was, “Xiaolin!

Who is this?”

Lin Xia hurriedly introduced them, “Mrs.

Zhao!

This is Lu Zheng from my brother’s workplace…” she caught herself as she rembered his promotion, “Ah… Lu Zheng!

This is the mother of my second brother, Mrs.

Zhao!”

Lu Zheng glanced at Jiang Mingyuan and politely greeted Mrs.

Zhao, “Mrs.

Zhao!

Hello!”

“Hello!” Mrs.

Zhao suddenly rembered, “Last ti Xiaolin, when I and Xiaoqing went to your house, you talked about a colleague from Lin Chun’s workplace coming over, was it this young man?”

Mrs.

Zhao felt puzzled, wondering why he had co again?

Lin Xia nodded, “Yes!

He’s the one I ntioned last ti, who wanted you all to have dinner together!”

She unconsciously looked down at her clothing, feeling a bit embarrassed.

She hadn’t anticipated his visit at all and felt her attire was rather plain.

“Ah!

It’s him!” Mrs.

Zhao looked Lu Zheng over.

She had to admit, the young man was very handso, with no faults in height or appearance.

Although she thought her younger son wasn’t bad, standing next to this young man, there was a noticeable difference in their presence.

Lin Xia controlled her blushing face, trying to remain calm as she asked Lu Zheng, “How did you get here?

Did the train arrive at this ti?” She rembered from his last visit it was in the morning.

“I had so business nearby, and I thought I’d co and see you all.

I ca by bus!” Lu Zheng explained briefly, adding in his heart, not to them, but for you.

“Have you eaten yet?” Although Lin Xia was still in shock and hadn’t recovered from the surprise of Lu Zheng’s arrival, it didn’t stop her from speaking.

However, she couldn’t help but wonder what his reason was for visiting this ti.

The thought that it might still be for her made her want to refuse outwardly, but inside she couldn’t suppress the happiness welling up.

Lu Zheng was not polite at all.

“No!”

Jiang Mingyuan spoke straightforwardly, “Lu Zheng!

When I asked you earlier, why did you say you had eaten already?”

Lu Zheng did not speak, yet his silence spoke volus.

Lin Xia guessed he might have felt embarrassed seeing his older brother at her house.

“Let’s eat when we go back later!” Lin Xia handed him the money she had just helped her brother earn.

“Big brother!

We made twenty-eight!”

“Great!” Jiang Mingyuan took the money, knowing that Lin Xia intended to return with them.

He felt a bitterness inside, but what could he say or do at that mont?

Luckily, his mother was going with them, which saved them from being alone together.

Zhao, the older lady, noticed sothing going on.

She thought Xiaolin seed to flush slightly, and there was an unusual feeling in the way the two talked.

Nothing escaped her notwithstanding her age.

She saw soone was clearly pursuing Lin Xia.

Her second boy had t his match!

However, such matters were uncertain until the very end, and her second son still had all the advantages.

When they left the greenhouse, Lin Xia walked along with Zhao, the older lady, as Lu Zheng walked by them.

Lin Xia asked, “My eldest brother is doing well?”

“Very well!

His health has recovered nicely…” Lu Zheng elaborated to Lin Xia much more than he did with Jiang Mingyuan, even sharing a few amusing incidents that happened at Lin Chun’s workplace.

Not only did Lin Xia laugh from ti to ti, but Zhao, the older lady, couldn’t help but grin as well.

Who could have imagined that Lin Chun, who used to be so ek and irresolute, had changed so drastically?

When they got ho, Lin Xia invited Zhao, the older lady, to rest in the room, while she heated up so food for Lu Zheng and then taught her how to mix the ingredients.

Zhao, the older lady, sat on the edge of the heated brick bed in the Eastern House, her ears tuned to the noises outside, and sighed softly.

She had originally thought this man was stern and hardly jovial, but he turned out to be quite eloquent along the way.

Most importantly, she observed that Xiaolin seed quite fond of him!

Lu Zheng stood at the doorway of the kitchen, watching Lin Xia busy herself, his lips curling into a pleased smile.

The last ti he was here, the scenes in the kitchen seed to flash before his eyes.

Several months had passed in a blink, and the young girl, Lin Xia, had changed quite a bit.

Lin Xia sensed Lu Zheng’s gaze and pretended not to notice.

She turned to take sothing from the cupboard and took the opportunity to exhale quietly.

Why did he still look at people like that?

The food from before was still warm in the pot; nonetheless, Lin Xia lit the stove and fried so eggs for Lu Zheng.

Lu Zheng, familiar with the household, set the table in the living room and then carried dishes and grabbed bowls and chopsticks.

Lin Xia couldn’t help but glance sideways; he acted as if he was in his own house, totally at ease.

After Lu Zheng started eating, Lin Xia entered the Eastern House.

As she opened the door, she saw Zhao, the older lady, sitting pensively on the edge of the heated brick bed, “Auntie!”

Zhao looked at Lin Xia with a smile, “Xiaolin!

Have you finished preparing Xiaolu’s al?”

Lin Xia felt inexplicably embarrassed by Zhao’s smile, “It’s ready!

Auntie!

Shall we start mixing the ingredients now?

We need to let it marinate a bit after mixing.”

“Sure!

I really need to learn from you,” Zhao got up and followed Lin Xia out of the room.

She glanced at Lu Zheng quietly sitting at the table eating, admiring his upright posture and graceful manners, clearly indicating his good upbringing.
