Chapter 1080: Chapter 1036: Accumulate Thickly to Discharge Thinly Chapter 1080: Chapter 1036: Accumulate Thickly to Discharge Thinly Ti flies, and once again it’s the golden period of the golden autumn October. It’s been nearly five months since the last May Day Golden Week.

Over the past five months, the tourism strategy to strengthen the province, established by Nie Zhenbang and executed by the forr provincial governor Wen Baogui, after months of effort, is finally about to face the test of the National Day Golden Week.

Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Departnt

In Wei Lin’s office, at this very mont, Red River TV Station’s Deputy Head of the Propaganda Departnt Shi Ximao, Cai Jianhong; the head of the Provincial Broadcast and TV Bureau, Liu Zhaokun; the head of the Provincial Tourism Bureau, Zhou Danian; and the editors-in-chief of the provincial TV station and newspaper, all sat in the eting room of the Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Departnt.

Wei Lin looked around at everyone and felt a bit dazed. This eting was only supposed to be an internal eting of the Propaganda Departnt. Of course, Zhou Danian was the exception here.

Gathered were the elites of the provincial propaganda outlets, and Wei Lin could be certain that this eting was going to bring a huge shake-up to the quiet officialdom of Hongjiang Province after two dormant months.

Thinking of this, Wei Lin swept his gaze over everyone and said in a grave tone, “Comrades, I’ve gathered you all here mainly to discuss the issue of publicity for this Golden Week. The Propaganda Departnt is the Party’s mouthpiece and is of utmost importance. This ti, as Hongjiang Province is determined to achieve the strategic goal of being a strong tourism province, a strategy personally guided and overseen by Secretary Nie of the Provincial Party Committee, no one here can take it lightly. We must be fully prepared and seriously do our work, ensuring positive propaganda.”

Wei Lin spoke with great severity, his words forceful and resonant. Getting straight to the point, this also fully demonstrated Wei Lin’s pragmatic work style.

After pausing briefly, Wei Lin continued, “At the Chunan Tourism Trade Fair in May, Hongjiang Province took the lead. Over the past few months, many of the province’s tourist attractions have undergone reconstruction and expansion, and a number of new attractions have been developed. This National Day Golden Week will be the ti to test the outcos. The Provincial Party Committee attaches great importance to this, and Secretary Nie has personally inquired about it. I hope that the Propaganda Departnt will be able to do a good job in this respect and co up with a plan, making a docuntary to thoroughly showcase the changes in Hongjiang Province over these months.”

At Deer Mountain, a famous tourist attraction in Hongjiang Province. Being the most well-known destination of Hongjiang Province, it was the first stop for the docuntary filming.

Through the lens of the cara, staff from the provincial TV and newspaper stood high up, overlooking the area.

Streams of tourists poured in like a swarm of locusts, flooding into the area. Even though it was crowded, the organizational efforts and guiding of tourists at the main entrance of the scenic area ant that everything proceeded in an orderly fashion, thanks to the substantial manpower invested by Lushan City.

Then, the scene shifted. Led by the host, the production team visited several newly opened star-rated hotels in Lushan City. Without exception, these hotels were the results of the investnts attracted during the last Tourism Trade Fair.

“General Manager Zhang, hello. We are from Red River TV’s docuntary special, ‘Walking around Red River’. Could you tell us how the occupancy rate has been for Tongcheng Hotel since it opened last month? It’s said that Tongcheng Hotel Group Company has invested in remodeling and building six hotels across six cities in Hongjiang, including one five-star hotel and five four-star hotels. General Manager Zhang, why do you have such confidence in Hongjiang Province?”

Obviously, this interview was also ticulously planned, and the questions revolved tightly around the topic of becoming a strong tourism province.

The interviewee was General Manager Zhang of the Tongcheng Hotel branch in Lushan City. Although just a branch manager, General Manager Zhang was very cooperative, smiling as he replied, “Of course, we have confidence. As far as I know, among the new hotels, only one is a five-star hotel, the Tongcheng International Hotel in Hongcheng City. The other four four-star hotels are all similar to ours here, being refurbished hotels. After opening last month, our hotel’s occupancy rate has already reached over seventy-five percent, and since the 29th of this month, our hotel rooms have been fully booked for the Golden Week. Hongjiang has rich tourism resources, and the tourism brand of Hongjiang is becoming increasingly well-known. I believe that, as Hongjiang’s influence grows broader and stronger in China and around the world, the revenue of Tongcheng Hotel Group will also boom.”

In iping City’s Wushan, this is one of the new tourist attractions recently developed by the Hongjiang Provincial Tourism Bureau. With the Tourism Trade Fair, iping City brought in a well-known dostic tourism investnt group which worked overti to ensure they could open their doors to guests during the Golden Week.

Unlike Deer Mountain Scenic Area, which focuses on natural resources and scenery, the newly developed Wushan Scenic Area emphasizes a comprehensive developnt that combines natural beauty with leisure and entertainnt.

Atop Wushan, the crisp grasslands conveyed a sense of being far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, with various leisure facilities and recreational activities allowing one to thoroughly relax the soul and self.

Here, although it wasn’t as crowded with people as Lushan, it had achieved a saturation capacity for a tourist destination. It never seed empty, and yet, the site’s maximum hosting capability had been fully developed.

This ti, coming to this area, the filming team didn’t choose any investors to interview. Instead, they focused their attention on the local villagers. For these people, born and bred here, their past and present lives ford a point of interest and a study in contrast.

Around Wushan, what had once been tranquil rural villages were now bustling with nurous family-run inns and guesthouses. The filming crew casually walked into one of them.

As they entered, the female owner greeted them with a smile. She was a rural woman in her fifties, dressed in typical countryside attire. The arrival of the journalists seed to surprise her sowhat.

At that mont, the on-site reporter smiled and approached, introducing themselves before leading into the main topic, “Auntie, now that Wushan has been developed into a tourist attraction, has it had a significant impact on the people around here?”

“Yes, a big impact indeed,” the auntie was quite talkative. She seed a bit shy in front of the cara, but she spoke confidently, “The Party’s policy is good. Now we villagers have a direction in life. With tourism developnt, our beautiful green mountains and clear waters are preserved. Relying on the tourist attraction, my family has opened this family inn. We’ve had quite a few guests recently; we’ve gone through dozens of chickens alone, and after this, I’ll need to raise more. A few hundred more.”

The host smiled and said, “Auntie, it looks like your business is doing quite well. Can you reveal a bit about your inco?”

When it ca to inco, Auntie seed a bit embarrassed. It is common belief among Chinese people that money matters should be kept private. Facing such a sensitive question, Auntie wouldn’t say much. After hesitating briefly, she smiled and said, “Not a lot, but I am grateful for the governnt’s policy. At New Year’s, please do co and visit our new house.”

Although Auntie did not specify how much her inco had increased, her words were still quite impactful. At the mont, her family’s house was still the old-style bungalow, indicating that Auntie’s ans were modest. Now, as things were just getting started, Auntie was already eagerly planning to build a new house. Even if there had been so savings before, with the current prices, even in the countryside, a new house would cost at least several hundred thousand yuan. This ant that this year’s inco was at least tens of thousands more.

The filming team’s shooting lasted for seven days, and following the end of the Golden Week holiday, Red River TV Station edited the footage at top speed, broadcasting the docuntary on Red River TV on October 8. Over the seven days, the team covered all the scenic spots of Red River, and each tourist spot, whether newly developed or not, was teeming with visitors, a thriving scene. The local villagers, and even those from various cities and counties, were all beaming with joy. Leveraging the Golden Week, Hongjiang Province hosted forty million visitors over those seven days. It’s worth noting that the entire population of Hongjiang Province is just slightly more than that number. This statistic is truly astounding.

This influx of tourists benefited not only the scenic spots. Cities and counties thrived as well. Where there were people, business naturally flourished. During this period, comrcial transactions even in the urban areas increased significantly.

At the provincial governnt, Fang Yuanshan’s expression was grim as he faced He Yusheng, the Executive Vice Governor. The broadcast of “Walking around Red River” had caused a huge stir within Hongjiang Province, and now the citizens had a firsthand appreciation of the benefits and realities of the strategy to beco a tourism powerhouse.

After this, it would be even more difficult for Fang Yuanshan to contend with Nie Zhenbang’s strategy for making tourism a provincial strength.

On his side, He Yusheng’s face didn’t look so good either. He found it hard to believe the enormous effect that tourism could have, and that it had happened so quickly.

Looking at Fang Yuanshan, He Yusheng continued, “According to the Provincial Bureau of Statistics, during the seven days of Golden Week, the province hosted 40,036,700 visitors, generating 28.9 billion yuan in tourism revenue and contributing 2.3 billion yuan in taxes. Governor, this developnt may make our situation increasingly precarious.”

At the end of his speech, hurried knocking sounded from outside the door. Then, Zhou Liren, Fang Yuanshan’s secretary, entered the room with an extrely serious expression, whispering, “Boss, I’ve just received a call from Jiang Zhengyi in iping City. A geological disaster has occurred in the iping mining area.”

Upon hearing this, Fang Yuanshan imdiately stood up. A geological disaster in iping City made him think of the Ou Ke Group’s investnt in iping’s coal mines. At such a ti, this incident, whether related to the Ou Ke Group or not, paled in comparison to the dazzling success of the tourism sector. The advantage of the latter was clear without needing to be stated. (
