After all, both long-lived races and humans alike wanted a strong and powerful mate.

Thus, they had to be strong whichever side they found their mates from.

Raymond himself was the one who gathered information here in the human realm with supported facts that most humans, specially nobles and those of royal bloodline, prefer strong and powerful spouses.

Yet, right now, Raymond was contradictingly saying that showing weakness could help further a relationship.

Wouldn’t it be the exact opposite?

Wouldn’t showing weakness have the exact opposite result?

Ferdinand was puzzled since it was Raymond himself who had forrly said weakness and lack of power and strength was a major cause of divorce here in the human realm.

He frowned at Raymond who smiled mischievously with a teasing look in his eyes again.

"What? Why not just spit out?" Ferdinand raised a brow when Raymond simply kept silent.

"Hehe. Are you sure you want to know, Your Majesty?"

Raymond responded as if Ferdinand did not already ask for the second ti.

"Just say it. Isn’t it why I’m asking," Ferdinand sighed.

Ferdinand would do everything if it would help his relationship with Arabella grow stronger.

No matter how small or big it may be, Ferdinand would grab it all to ensure Arabella would not tire of him.

Especially with a lot of n constantly vying to be Arabella’s husband. Ferdinand would not allow them a chance.

He would not let his guard down or else soone might snag her from him before he knew it.

Constantly asking Raymond and the others a lot of questions about this and that hurt his pride in more ways than one but what’s the use of his pride if Arabella is not by his side?

Ferdinand’s priority is to keep Arabella by his side no matter what.

He already knew the feeling of her not interested in him in the least bit and it was the worst.

The way she used to not even want to look at him made him feel like he was so kind of worm or dust unworthy of even her glance.

Now that she liked him too, there’s no way Ferdinand would allow things to go back to the way it was in the past.

No way in hell would he want to experience Arabella’s fearful and disgusted look directed at him again.

It hurt so much to get those kinds of looks from her. Just recalling it sent chills down his spine.

’Never again,’Ferdinand thought.

He would do his best to keep Arabella’s interest and affection remain on him no matter what.

There’s no way he would allow soone or sothing to get in between them.

Thus, he would keenly listen to Raymond and everyone else’s tips and advice even when they act all smug about it.

He’ll get back at them in ti in other ways.

Even more surprising though was Ferdinand could feel that even Alwin was sowhat making fun of him at tis.

Now that he thought about it, among everyone Alwin was the one who changed the most. Even among these three. And most especially, recently.

After Ferdinand got wed, Alwin had beco sowhat disobedient.

It was nice to see Alwin show signs of becoming independent but the way he did things was worriso.

Just looking at how things turned out right now was a perfect example so it was understandable that both Raymond and Zion who usually end up giving in to what Alwin wanted had decided to punish Alwin this ti.

Arabella

’Geez. That Ferdinand! Since when did he learn to tease ?’

Arabella took slow deep breaths to calm herself after Ferdinand left with Raymond and Zion.

She could still feel the heat on her cheeks so she did not dare turn around yet.

Even without looking, she could feel Alvis was having fun at her predicant.

It was embarrassing to show herself not composed to the Elven King so even without Ferdinand’s warning she would not have dared showing her face.

Even if Arabella was the nth descendant of Elder Satara so Alvis was still the king of the other race mixed with her human blood.

Learning about her ancestry had helped Arabella understand her fascination with elves. They were part of her history. She was partly elven even if just for a bit. And of course, she was delighted by this fact since she had loved elves since she was young.

And even though Alvis had been here for several days, Arabella was still not used to the presence of the true Elven King. Soone she had read a lot about in stories and fairy tales.

In her etings with Alvis, she had always done her best to be composed and dignified in his presence as if to show one of her elders she was upholding elven dignity and honour.

Arabella had to remind herself a lot of tis that she was the Empress of Valeria and a Primordial’s mate so she must be on her best behavior instead of acting like a fan girl and asking all sorts of questions to Alvis.

After all, she stopped asking Alwin about Alvis since Alwin imdiately warned her that his uncle was married and she already had Ferdinand so she should not be eyeing other n.

She was not interested in Alvis as a man though. She was only interested in knowing more about him as the Elven King. And she would also be very much honored to get a chance to et the Elven Queen as well or Alwin’s cousins for that matter.

Not to ntion Arabella was one the Fairy Queen whom Alvis himself had said was very close to him and his wife.

Perhaps it was also one of the reasons Arabella wanted to get to know about them more.

After all, Ferdinand had told her that reincarnation was a vicious cycle. He said that one’s greatest regrets always followed in the next life and was oftentis, unconsciously, the focus of one’s next life.

Arabella believed it wholeheartedly since she and Alwin were the perfect examples. They were both here leaving their second chance at life trying to change the past they knew so their greatest regrets would not happen in this life.

With Alvis heavily regretful about the forr Fairy Queen’s death, Arabella surmised her forr self must also have regrets about their sudden parting.
