"I see. Thank you. I am glad you already know about him. I hope he will be of help to you. And I pray for your safety and success in this venture," Arabella said and they all thanked her in unison.

As all the researchers were gathered, Arabella saw them off as they were teleported to Sibruh by Riley.

Once they were gone, she glanced at Alwin, "Let’s pursue the investigation of Ivan’s superior."

Arabella was even more determined to have him punished for his cris after hearing how he thought about her and how he made everyone working for him make false testimonies to ensure Ivan was fired and banned.

She had read the reports about this matter and Ivan was saved by the results of his Civil Service Exam.

Ivan was not punished more severely aside from getting banned from returning to his work because it was a waste to let him rot in prison when he could be doing sothing else with all the knowledge he had.

"Alright," Alwin teleported Arabella back to her office.

She wrote a letter requesting a reopening of Ivan’s case and a more in depth re-investigation with help from the Magic Tower.

Arabella relayed in detail the phrases Ivan and his superior said to her earlier and cited that it was suspicious for Ivan’s superior and workmates to be saying the sa things as if it was planned.

She also asked them to compare the paperwork Ivan had been doing to that of the ones his superior and workmates had been submitting and offered to provide so copies of docunts Ivan had worked on in her office.

With both Arabella and Alwin’s signature, she was sure it would be pursued more quickly.

Arabella could simply have Ivan’s superior punished instantly with Alwin’s help but she decided to let the concerned departnts do the re-investigation so that Ivan’s na would be cleared and the forr verdict against him beco completely null and void.

Most importantly, the people ought to know that Ivan was frad and falsely accused. That he was the victim and not the perpetrator. He rely reached his limit and finally fought back though not in the right manner.

If she directly punished Ivan’s superior without letting the concerned departnts take care of it first, there may be people who would think she was using her authority to save a hooligan since they do not know the real story about Ivan.

Thus, she had to ensure that the real story gets spread first.

Once her letter was complete with her seal, Alwin sent it for her.

"It’s been a long day," Arabella thought as she settled her back against her seat.

"Why don’t you have dinner then and retire for the night?" Alwin suggested.

"I’m not hungry yet. And I want to do a bit more work," Arabella replied as she glanced at the ti. "Why? Are you already hungry? Or do you have sothing to do? You can assign soone else to guard with Rendell. I will just stay here anyway."

"No. I’m not yet hungry. And if I leave, they won’t be able to stop you from working," Alwin said and just decided to do his work in her office as he usually does while guarding her.

Arabella worked for several hours more before having her dinner and retiring to her room.

***

The following day, Arabella attended the Court Session on her own once again and managed to complete it without any issues.

It went for half a day once again and she went to her office for work in the afternoon.

Arabella was done with her work after two hours so she went to her personal study to read and respond to letters she had been receiving.

It was then that sothing unexpected happened.

Arabella received a letter in a plain white envelope.

It was contradictory to all the fancy envelopes sent to her so it imdiately attracted all her attention.

"Can we open the white one?" Arabella pointed out and Alwin picked it up for her.

"Who would send a letter like this to you? It’s suspicious," Alwin imdiately comnted.

He was right.

After all, since they know Arabella is now the Empress of Valeria, all letters sent to her were in fancy and scented envelopes with a seal from who sent it.

But this envelope in particular did not have one. Its seal had no household mark. It was just a plain seal.

Still, both the envelope and the seal were made from the highest quality of products so it must still be soone affluent.

It was indeed suspicious.

Or perhaps, it was soone trying to stand out and whoever it was did it in a smart way.

Alwin checked the envelope for any spells or poison before opening it. He got the letter out and checked it repeatedly and more carefully before opening it.

Once their usual process of checking was done, he finally handed it to her but with a frown on his face.

[Why would she send her a letter at this ti?]

Arabella wondered what Alwin was frowning about; she checked the letter and was surprised as well.

It was from Princess Seraphina of Crux!

Arabella gulped. She had encountered Princess Seraphina several tis in her past life when she was not yet wed.

She also saw her again when they went to deus months ago for the Yearly General Assembly.

However, they did not get the chance to speak with each other since Arabella’s tea parties were already with the married won and no longer with the single ladies.

Princess Seraphina was still unwed and was about a year younger than her.

Arabella would turn nineteen soon so Seraphina would likely be eighteen or already was.

As far as Arabella could recall, this princess was much more open minded than most people from Crux she had spoken with.

All people from Crux arrive with one or two of their slaves following them and Princess Seraphina was the only one whose slave did not look like one.
