"Icarus?!"

Arabella couldn’t help but utter his na in surprise. Her voice was barely audible but audible enough.

’Huh? Did he say my na too?’

The way Icarus’ lips moved looked like he said her na. But she couldn’t hear it due to the sound of the horses’ hooves and the carriage wheels.

The carriage slowly passed by Icarus and his entourage and Arabella was sure their eyes t.

For so reason, Icarus looked so surprised to see her. Or was he looking at sothing else?

Arabella thought Icarus never again attended a single Assembly in deus ever since attending it with his father when he was young.

In her past life, Icarus thought of attending the Assembly as a huge waste of ti since everyone was full of pretense and lies.

Just like Ferdinand, Icarus didn’t like attending events like this. He would rather do all the work he had in Reverio.

Thus, Icarus always just sent representatives to join the Assemblies in deus.

’But why is he here now?’

He was so much younger than Arabella recalled. The Icarus from her mories was much older.

She was glad Icarus seed to be doing well. She would no longer associate with him in this life since she cannot fulfill her forr promise to him anymore.

If he doesn’t fall for her in this life, he would probably marry soone better. He was a good person after all. There were a lot of ladies wishing to marry him.

[They just said each other’s na at the sa ti and stared into each other’s eyes!]

Arabella gasped when she heard Alwin’s thoughts.

’He heard that? My voice was barely a whisper. His ears are way too sharp.’

She thought he was still following them from afar. Did he join the knights outside her carriage?

’How should I explain this if he confronts about it? Should I just say I have t Icarus before?’

No, what if they asked Icarus if he had t her before? They never t each other so it was not possible. She wouldn’t be able to specify when and where if they further asked.

[Is it just a coincidence? No, it’s too suspicious. It seems I have to investigate King Icarus more. Where did he et Her Majesty before?] Alwin wondered.

Arabella sighed in relief when Alwin at least assud they had t before. She reminded herself to be more careful.

When they returned to their accommodation, Ferdinand was waiting for her at the entrance.

’Oh, he seems to be fine now.’

[She’s finally here. I suddenly had a bad feeling so I was about to go pick her up if she still didn’t co back.] Ferdinand got worried when she didn’t return as scheduled.

’Alwin won’t report what he heard, right?’

Arabella just said Icarus’ na because of surprise. She didn’t do anything wrong.

Still, she hoped Alwin wouldn’t report it yet since she had just assured Ferdinand that Andrew was no longer important to her. She can’t have Ferdinand getting triggered by soone else.

"Dear, I’m back," Arabella bead at her husband.

"Mm. I’ll go back to my study then," Ferdinand said and left before she could reply.

Arabella blinked repeatedly. If this was the past life, she would have assud Ferdinand was angry at her.

’How could he respond so coldly after I greet him like that? He didn’t even ask why returned later than supposed to be.’

Arabella learned from Alwin’s thoughts that he already explained why so Ferdinand already knew.

But the servants and knights were misunderstanding things. They were concluding they must have indeed fought. Especially since Ferdinand didn’t join her for dinner either.

’This won’t do. If Ferdinand keeps avoiding , everyone would misunderstand.’

She wondered if this was among the reasons why in her past life, Ferdinand usually only visited her in her room at night. She thought she was the only one getting embarrassed and all. But Ferdinand must have maintained his poker face despite what he was feeling inside.

’Wait?! Did Alwin already tell him I said Icarus’ na and he said mine?’

She wondered if Ferdinand was upset because of it.

’But I didn’t do anything wrong. What’s so wrong with saying soone’s na?’

Instead of treating her coldly in front of everyone, Ferdinand could have asked her about it. It didn’t feel good to be avoided.

It was true that Icarus was her other man in her previous life. But she’s not doing anything of that sort now.

. . .

"You’re finally here," Arabella folded her hands over her chest when her husband finally went to her room when night ca. She had been waiting for him.

Ferdinand flinched.

[Is she angry?]

"Did you enjoy avoiding all day?" she raised a brow.

[She’s angry indeed!]

"No, that’s not what I was trying to do. I an..." he didn’t continue since he had indeed been avoiding her.

Arabella raised her brow again when he was trying to co up with a lie.

"I’m so sorry. It’s hard to control myself if I remained near you," Ferdinand admitted when he realized lying wouldn’t work.

Arabella already knew it but it was kind of embarrassing when her husband said it himself. She was supposed to pretend to be angry about getting avoided the whole day but she cannot do it anymore.

"I’m really sorry, Arabella. It must be hard to believe, but just looking at your face makes rember last night. See, I’m already like this," Ferdinand embraced her and she felt his hard mber against her belly.

[She slls good. I’ve been waiting all day. Now that she’s in my arms, I want to do all sorts of things. But she’s angry at . What should I do?] Ferdinand embraced her tighter.

Arabella closed her eyes. Her husband felt so warm and nice.

’I was so exhausted from the tea party. Being held by him like this feels so much better than all the hours I spent there socializing,’ she hugged him back and buried her face in his chest.

[She’s not angry anymore?] Ferdinand tilted his head.
