"You don’t have to worry. There were a lot of fun tis too even when I was alone," Ferdinand assured her.
"Fun tis?" Arabella looked into his eyes and almost gasped at the sight she saw.
It was a view from high up above. The mountain range was beautifully covered with white snow but it was desolate and lonely.
The cat-sized Ferdinand apparently grew to the size of a dog, soon to a colt, then a mature horse, and grew more with ti as he was able to hunt more food.
He first experienced flying when he was the size of a colt. And as his body grew, his wingspan did as well until he was able to fly much higher, farther, and faster.
Ferdinand enjoyed flying once he learned he could fly.
There were a lot of tis he fell face-first on the snow when he was still learning to fly and overexerted himself. But, he eventually got better at it with ti, until he could soar the skies as he pleased and hunt as much as he wanted.
"I see. I’m relieved you were still able to have so fun," Arabella smiled and she earned another kiss.

Ferdinand showered Arabella with kisses until she told him to stop since they were not even done talking yet.

Ferdinand caressed her cheeks and hoped their marriage would work out. He looked quite worried their marriage would fail despite the developnts in their relationship recently.
[The oracle did co true even if I, myself, hardly believed then that I would soday find soone I would call my mate and wish for her to be with all my life.]
Arabella learned from Ferdinand’s thoughts that once an oracle was revealed, it was the deciding factor on who would rule Valeria next.
The oracle was a ssage from the gods. Due to their dwindling population, oracles for dragons were usually about when their mate was born or if they would et their mate soon.
And Valeria was apparently ruled by dragons and their descendants who, as revealed in an oracle, were ant to find their mate in the human realm.
Sotis, the dragon and his son reign consecutively when the son does not show signs of being able to turn into a dragon even after he becos an adult in human terms.
The son might even beco the Emperor and find his mate first before being able to turn into a dragon. It was different for every dragon.
Edward was able to turn into a dragon when he was five so he was brought to Estrella and Ferdinand was brought to Valeria.
It was also why Ferdinand beca the Emperor so early since the Forr Emperor and Empress wanted to be able to focus on Edward’s growth.
[Maverick (the Forr Emperor) and Tricia (the Forr Empress) were a perfect pair. Their relationship was so much better than even Raymond and Clarisse’s. Their marriage worked out perfectly well. Among dragons who mated with humans, they were among the rarities that had successful marriages. Elves who mate with humans get accepted more easily. But dragons, usually even with the presence of children, almost always fail in the end. Even now, our reputation among humanity still hasn’t improved despite the existence of Valeria Empire.]
Arabella gulped at hearing this from Ferdinand’s thoughts.
’I see, so the marriages between dragons and humans usually failed. This was why he was so scared I would leave him too. Because he knew it happened to others too. He thinks that just like everyone else, this marriage might fail sooner or later.’
Arabella learned from her husband’s thoughts that because Valerian royalty was said to be descendants of dragons, pureblooded* Valerians take pride in dragons and pray to the God of Dragons. Thus, only marriages with pureblooded Valerians usually worked.
Forr Empress Tricia was a pureblooded Valerian from Riva and she took pride in marrying a dragon.
But the Empress before Tricia; Alyra, who was a princess from another kingdom, was not delighted in the least bit when she learned the truth.
Alyra and her husband Terrence were in love with each other. Which was why Terrence fully thought she would be able to accept him.
However, when he brought Alyra to Estrella and showed his true form, Alyra was filled with horror. Especially when she learned that even the child in her belly would soday be able to turn into a dragon too.
Alyra was horrified to have married a "dangerous monster" and cannot accept the fact she would be giving birth to a "giant monstrous lizard." She took her own life despite being pregnant.
Terrence was grief-stricken and attempted to kill himself but the God of Dragons did not allow it. Thus, Terrence hibernated wishing for death.
’No wonder Ferdinand was so reluctant to tell about his true identity and always had negative thoughts about it,’ Arabella finally understood why her husband was always overthinking it.
This case apparently made all other dragons not want to mate with humans in fear of sothing like this happening again. Such a strong rejection made the dragons think they should not mate with humans anymore.
Especially since it was not just Alyra who rejected dragons so strongly. Most supposed mates run away in fear and disgust despite their forr declarations of love. So thought their husband may have gone crazy or were having delusions.
There were rarities who were able to accept it as truth and still loved their husband. But they still refused to be brought in Estrella. They continued their life in Valeria until they passed in their human years living their husbands longing for them in grief and hibernating once their children were old enough to take care of themselves.
