Dimo never liked his stepmother so he called him Aunt Sonia instead of "Mother".
His mother was irreplaceable to him so he did not want to call soone else as his mother. He still treated Sonia with respect though despite how she treated him. He also fully believed that Brent and Monica were his siblings.
But that night, Dimo also overheard that his supposed siblings were the head butler’s children.
Sonia and the head butler already had a relationship even before she married Dimo’s father. Sonia married Duke Olivier for their riches and properties.
And the two adults were planning to have another child hoping for another boy.
The head butler was his father’s cousin so the resemblance was ignored. It could be said that Brent and Monica got it from the Duke instead of the head butler.
Thus, Dimo nor his father never suspected it. Moreover, the head butler had a wife of his own but she was apparently barren.
After that, Dimo was horrified and cried in his room every night. He observed them and noticed that his Aunt Sonia went to the head butler’s room almost every night.
And one day, Dimo was shocked when his nanny who taste-tested the food he was supposed to eat collapsed and died.
Dimo was told it was due to sickness. But he heard from the other maids’ hushed whispers that it was poison. Soone attempted to poison Dimo and his nanny ended up dying in his place.
No one knew that ever since Dimo began eating in his room after the incident with the fire since he was eight, the Duke had secretly ordered the nanny to taste-test Dimo’s food every ti. Dimo did not speak much with other people in their residence too except for his father so he had told no one about it.
Dimo cried in silence in his room after knowing the truth. His nanny had been kind to him and was the only one among their servants who still treated him the sa as usual even after the incident.
The following night, soone attempted to abduct Dimo and he accidentally set fire to his room in panic as he tried to break free of his abductor’s hold. He was able to escape because of it.
When he told everyone soone tried to abduct him, his stepmother brushed it off saying he must have had a nightmare. No evidence soone else went into his room was found since all of it got burned.
Dimo wanted to ask their knights for help. But only a few remained since they accompanied his father to deus.
The remaining knights were guarding the borders. Dimo wanted to go to them but before his father left, there was a strict order for him to never leave the house while he was away.
Thus, he resolved to wait for his father. A month would pass by quickly if he focused on his studies again.
Dimo got a new room but he was too scared to sleep.
Two days ago, since he cannot sleep at night due to fear soone might co again, he decided to go sneak near the head butler’s room again. It was then that he overheard his stepmother and the head butler fighting.
It was there that he learned they were the ones who tried to poison him. They were also the ones who sent people to abduct and kill him so Brent would be the heir instead of him.
The head butler was beginning to hesitate since their two attempts failed and said that maybe they should leave Dimo alone since he was also his nephew.
But Sonia got angry and said if Dimo beca the heir; Brent and Monica would get nothing.
She even emphasized that Dimo would surely grow into a rciless monster and might even incinerate them.
Sonia was convinced that Dimo had intentionally caused fire the tis he accidentally did it. She thought Dimo tried to kill Monica out of anger.
Thus, they concluded to have Dimo killed before the Duke returned since he could be even more dangerous to them in the future.
They also learned the night before his nanny died that Dimo had sneaked near the head butler’s room. It was why they tried to poison him while he hadn’t told anyone about their affair yet.
Dimo was so terrified after everything he had heard that he began running away and everything he passed through in their house was set ablaze.
It was then that Dimo’s stepmother sent more people to catch and kill him. They caught him once but Dimo was able to escape because of the fire that ca from him when he was terrified.
Dimo kept running away from the people trying to kill him but they easily caught up and beat him up. He escaped again though after setting their clothes ablaze. He no longer cared if they burned. He just wanted to run away from Sonia and the head butler.
Another group chased him though. However, once he entered a certain area, they suddenly stopped chasing him.
Despite all the pain and fear he was feeling, Dimo took the chance and just ran and ran as far as he could without really knowing where he was going since it was dark. When he woke up, he was with Arabella and her companions.

Dimo was sobbing once he was done telling his story.
Arabella embraced him and rubbed his back. Dimo cried even more and she comforted him.
From Arabella’s mories of her past life, Dimo told her that after he run away from ho, he succeeded to escape.
However, the n his Aunt sent to kill him got his dallion so there was no way for him to ask for help and be recognized by the people as Duke Olivier’s heir. His features were mostly from his mother too.
Still, he did his best to survive in deus in hopes he would be able to see his father soday and tell him the truth.
But soon, he learned that his father had died and Brent had already beco the heir so his stepmother Sonia was reigning as the Duchess.
Dimo lost hope and gave up on life after knowing that his father was already dead.
