It was why Arabella used this reason. She thankfully recalled Dimo telling her he had seen her in deus at a party when he was a child, and he rembered her face when they unexpectedly t again.

On her part, Arabella had long forgotten but recalled when Dimo reminded her.

Duke Olivier often purchased tea from Lobelius so they were a regular client. Arabella had once spoken with the duke before about Lobelius tea at a party in deus. Lobelius tea was Dimo’s late mother’s favorite and the duke had gotten used to drinking it regularly.

[Who is she? She knows my father? I’ve been with father to deus several tis before so I’m not sure I would rember. Her voice does sound familiar. Where did I hear it before?]

Dimo tried to get a glance at Arabella but both Rendell and the Grand Commander were still blocking the view.

Arabella glanced at her husband, wordlessly asking for permission to speak with Dimo and he nodded.

"Don’t get close. It’s still dangerous. He still might release those flas. He doesn’t seem to have full control over it," Ferdinand wrapped an arm around her waist when she tried to walk forward to get a bit closer to Dimo.

"Right. Sorry." Her husband easily noticed Dimo was not in control of the flas earlier.

Ferdinand then gave a signal to the Rendell and the Grand Commander and they finally moved.

"Detrius, you may not rember , but we’ve t in deus before. I have spoken a bit with your father," Arabella said as gently and as welcoming as she could.

Dimo was short for Detrius Ismael drona Olivier, his full na from his father and mother.

[So pretty! I think I’ve seen her before...]

"Oh! The goddess princess we t that father and I got the tea mother loved," Dimo brightened up.

[Goddess princess?]

Her companions were puzzled by Dimo’s words and realized the boy must be referring to her appearance.

[The tea she gave us was so delicious and fragrant. Mother would have loved it. I’ve forgotten this Princess’ na but I used to try drawing her portrait. But father scolded and told not to draw or paint her portrait anymore since her suitors would get angry. Father said all rulers in Eliora wanted to marry her when she gets older.]

It was no wonder Dimo could not rember her na since he was just seven at that ti.

Dimo kept staring at Arabella until he noticed Ferdinand glaring at him. He flinched.

"I’m so sorry! Please don’t kill !"

"Dear, don’t intimidate him," Arabella frowned at her husband.

"I wasn’t trying to," Ferdinand lied.

"Detrius, no one is trying to kill you here. We are on a journey to deus and we stopped since you were lying unconscious in the middle of the road earlier. Why are you here all alone? You were injured so badly too," Arabella tried to ask.

[Oh, right. My injuries. My arm was broken by the ugly man. Eh?!!]

Dimo gasped when he realized his injuries were no longer aching. He checked his body.

"Eh?! My forr injuries are gone!" he exclaid and rechecked his body another ti to ensure the injuries were indeed no longer there.

Arabella glanced at Alwin and smiled at him since he wanted to say sothing to Dimo too.

"I healed you earlier. But you went and injured yourself again," Alwin said and healed the burns Dimo sustained from the fire earlier.

[So pretty! And he’s a man? I’ve never seen a man this beautiful before. Is he Her Highness’s sibling?]

Dimo stared at Alwin in wonder since he was not wearing his hood.

"I just healed you again. But if you make that fire again, you are on your own," Alwin warned.

"Thank you very much, Sir. I an, Your Highness," Dimo assud Alwin was Arabella’s brother.

"Your Eminence," Alwin corrected and Dimo gasped. He apologized and instantly thanked Alwin again with the proper title.

Even as a child, he understood titles were very important when speaking with soone.

"Right, can you not release those flas again? It’s quite dangerous. You almost injured Her Majesty’s maids," Alwin reminded and glanced at Eunice and Aletha who were the ones trying to clean up Dimo earlier.

"I... I will do my best. It’s just that it happens when I panic," Dimo replied nervously.

[Her Majesty? She’s a queen now?]

"Your Majesty, his mana is unstable and he has a strong affinity for fire. It seems he cannot control it yet. It would be best if I stabilize his mana first and set limits before you continue to speak with him," Alwin explained.

Arabella agreed since it would be safer for Dimo too.

The knights secured the area and they took a break there in the anti.

Dimo was cleansed by Aletha and Eunice and Alwin gave him new clothes and shoes to wear.

anwhile, Arabella explained to Ferdinand and Alwin how she t Dimo in deus.

Thankfully, they believed her story.

"There are ard n a good distance away from here and they have a pair of shoes that seed to be owned by this child," Alwin revealed.

"They must be the ones he said earlier to be trying to kill him," Arabella’s hands balled into fists.

They were the ones who gave Dimo injuries that left scars even when he grew older. They traumatized him too.

Dimo had been her loyal mage in her past life. He did as he was told and was true to his promise. She had made him leave Valeria as she remained in the magic tower. He had even wanted to take her away since he knew she planned to die, but she refused since she had no reason to live back then. He was crying when he left and wished she would be happy in her next life.

He was one of her true comrades and ally in the past.

Since he hadn’t suffered all the traumatizing things he experienced in his previous life, Arabella wanted to help him now before Dimo ends up in the underground guild again.

A/N:

This was supposed to happen right after Chapter 18. I originally planned to have them head to deus in the next Chapter. But 4 months was too long for flashbacks. Arabella’s changed behavior towards her husband would have been too shocking too since she was still hateful of Ferdinand in the earlier Chapters. Showing in flashbacks how their relationship changed would have been too long. Thus, I had to revise my outline and this was delayed for later.
