The ice cone was incredibly tough, it stabbed towards the mast, and the mast snapped into two pieces. Yue Jinghua remained calm, her fingertip releasing a thread as fine as spider silk, that shot out and wrapped around the second mast at the instant the ice cone struck, allowing her to slide down the broken mast like a nimble monkey.
While dodging, she shouted loudly to Old Teluo and Feng Buhui on the deck, "Don’t just stand there watching, I’ll hold her off, go treat the wounded first."
Old Teluo and Feng Buhui, on the deck, couldn’t help but chuckle, yet they also understood Yue Jinghua’s intention and silently rebuked themselves for their embarrassnt. Despite their experience as rcenaries, such a sudden turn of events had almost cost them their composure.
Old Teluo organized a team, and they imdiately began rescuing the wounded.
Several crossbow archers, including Feng Buhui, swallowed the Durian Pills distributed by Ni Qianjun, quickly replenishing their Dark Power.
Without the support of Lihua Xue, those Silver Scorpion Soldiers were like lons and gourds, easily slaughtered by the mbers of the Rebellion rcenary Group.
Witnessing this scene, Lihua Xue almost gnashed her silver teeth in anger. She knew that if she didn’t completely wipe out this batch of Reversed Fire rcenaries, and if even one of them escaped and leaked the news, she wouldn’t be able to face the Ni Family brothers’ furious, hurricane-like revenge. "Yue Jinghua, I will tear you into ten thousand pieces."
"Tsk, I’ve been hearing that for many years now, everyone who crosses swords with says that. It’s just a sha that everyone who has said that ended up dead," Yue Jinghua said with a smirk, moving even faster, leaping between masts.
Lihua Xue roared furiously. She had been wielding her blue water bead in her hand for so ti, and now, with most of her Dark Power depleted, the bead’s color changed from water-blue to transparent blue. She quickly bit her finger, allowing her Dark Power and blood to seep into the bead.
The blue bead kept absorbing her blood, and an unusual flush rose on Lihua Xue’s fair face.
"That’s the rmaid Blue Pearl, made from the tears of the South Sea rmaid. Destroying the Dark Pearl in her hand... it’s a treasure. Take it," Qing Pu warned Yue Jinghua, his voice revealing an uncommon seriousness.
Yue Jinghua dared not be careless, her "Soft Finger" technique extended infinitely, like a silk-spinning spider, and hurled towards Lihua Xue.
The adversary laughed, "You think you’re up to it?" She released her left hand and, with a single motion, pinched several Ice Needles in between her fingertips, thrusting them towards Yue Jinghua’s chest.
The steel needles, carrying Dark Power, struck Yue Jinghua’s chest.
Yue Jinghua’s delicate body trembled, and she felt as if her organs were being churned into paste.
Lihua Xue struck successfully with her palm, but upon exerting more force, she discovered that the needles had only pierced Yue Jinghua’s outer clothing, revealing white Dark Beast Armor underneath.
As she was caught off guard, a hand wrapped around her neck, restraining her head, followed by a heavy elbow strike to Lihua Xue’s ear, causing severe pain in her ear and a roaring in her brain. The rmaid Blue Pearl flew out of Lihua Xue’s hand.
Yue Jinghua had intentionally shown weakness, deliberately taking a hit to get close for hand-to-hand combat.
The bead, smooth and lustrous, was like a shooting star across the night sky, spinning toward the lake.
Yue Jinghua launched a flying kick, flinging Lihua Xue towards the deck. Like a swallow returning to the forest, she swooped towards the lake’s surface to rescue the Treasure Bead.
Just as her fingertips were about to touch the Treasure Bead, a shadow appeared on the surface of the lake. It was at that mont, a burst of splash rose from the water, and a figure as fast as lightning swooped in ahead of her.
There’s actually soone in the water? Feng Buhui and the others were shocked, all converging to surround, aiming their crossbows at the figure in black.
The person in black moved in a peculiar way, covered entirely in black, looking similar to the attire of the Silver Scorpion rcenary Group. However, his movents were faster than any mber of the Silver Scorpion rcenary Group, like a black flash tearing through the sky. Since arriving on the Canglong Continent, Yue Jinghua had never seen anyone with such speedy movents.
Feng Buhui and his companions did not dare to shoot rashly, fearing they might injure Yue Jinghua.
Yue Jinghua, however, found herself in an unprecedented pressure. The aura of murder emanating from the person in black filled the air, and this killing aura made Yue Jinghua feel an unprecedented sense of danger.
"Withdraw your hand, this object is not for soone like you to covet," the person said in a voice difficult to discern as male or female, coarse yet thin, with a sowhat grating sound.
Yue Jinghua felt a numbness in her hand as a Yin and soft Dark Force surged forward, her fingers felt as if they were crushed, forcing her to retract her hand.
The black-clothed figure, with fingers like hooks, was about to pull the Treasure Bead into a pouch, when suddenly a gust of wind surged towards his face. Had he reacted even a fraction slower, the black cloth covering his face would have been torn apart, he had no choice but to step back several paces.
A sleek black Flash Mink Leopard appeared out of nowhere, zipping in front of Lihua Xue like a cluster of lightning. The Flash Mink Leopard spread its limbs and firmly clutched the Xuanyin Pearl, panting as it leaped into Yue Jinghua’s arms, with a face full of sycophancy.
The black-clothed man paused midair for a mont, his eyes, the color of which couldn’t be made out, seed electrocuted as he swiftly retracted his claws.
He stared at Yue Jinghua’s face and body for a few monts, then laughed loudly, "So it’s you."
The man in black’s laughter resounded presumptuously over the lake.
Yue Jinghua snorted with laughter, her "Soft Finger" flicking like a chaotically dancing water snake.
But the black-clothed man had no intention to continue tussling with Yue Jinghua. Spreading his arms, he was like an upside-down bat or a glider that skimd rapidly across the water, cleverly dodging Yue Jinghua’s attack.
A few steps and ripples danced upon the water.
For reasons unknown, the black-clothed man, swift as the wind, did not advance to snatch the Xuanyin Pearl again. Instead, he picked up the distracted Lihua Xue as silently as he had arrived, disappearing without a trace over the lake.
The lake soon returned to calmness. Only the corpses of the Silver Scorpion rcenaries remained, a testant that the night had not been peaceful. Dawn approached, the bloody waters flowing towards Dan Demon Tomb, the dense, blood-like fog seeming even thicker.
