Lie Rou had no choice but to get up and dress. The night was deep and the dew heavy, she opened the window, letting the moonlight that poured like water illuminate the room.
Looking out the window, Lie Rou saw a pavilion-tower-like structure in front. In the moonlight, the structure reminded her of the Moon Goddess Tower.

Lie Rou circled several corridors and arrived before the tower.
As she got closer, she realized that not only was the shape of this tower like the Moon Goddess Tower, but even the size of the tiles and bricks was sowhat similar to the Moon Goddess Tower.
Lie Rou did not know that such a white stone-constructed tower-like building was common in the Moon Plane, known as the Observatory Tower, basic to the residences of so dignitaries in the Plane.
These towers served two purposes: for star observation or book storage.
Ye Huacheng’s Observatory Tower was used to store books; within the tower, no guards were stationed, allowing any maid or servant from the city to enter freely.
At this hour, past midnight, the Observatory Tower was already deserted.
Ye Huacheng was a refined person, fond of elegance and beauty.
The Observatory Tower in the City Lord Mansion was decorated ticulously, with arch floor-to-ceiling ventilating windows, draped with snow-like gauze. The wind would move the gauze gently, creating a beautiful scene.
The Observatory Tower housed a vast collection of books, including rare copies between Planes. Inside, there were soft couches and tables for reading, with incense burners atop tables, perating the air with a faint scent.
Walking along, Lie Rou was swept by the night breeze, losing any sleep. Entering the Observatory Tower, she found its environnt comfortable, with rfolk pearls embedded in the walls, adding favor to her liking.
Lie Rou, naturally inclined to quietness, felt lonely after Yue Nian disappeared. Restless nights led her to rise and read volus, gradually cultivating a habit of night reading. Spurred by the rfolk pearls’ light, she began reading.
Within the Observatory, the wind breezed gently; inside the tower, the sound of pages turning and soft breathing of the lady alternated. Occasionally she chuckled or pondered, with movents reflecting a maiden’s playful innocence.
Lie Rou didn’t realize that by one of the arch-shaped windows, a man leaning against the window with a bottle watched her, her every move caught by his gaze.
