They were a young man and woman, both dressed like rcenaries.
The man had a handso appearance, draped in a ticulously crafted Purple Crystal Battle Helt, holding a Purple Bamboo Flute, looking quite dashing and unrestrained.
However, the slight upward tilt of his eyes revealed a hint of frivolity, and the deep purple of his pupils gave Yue Jinghua a sense of déjà vu.
His eyes were very similar to Zong Shaoqing’s rare purple color, but his deanor was starkly different from Zong Shaoqing.
While speaking, even though the corners of his mouth carried a smile that made him seem approachable, his gaze uncomfortably swept around, particularly casting an ambiguous glance at so of the charming female rcenaries of the July rcenary Team.
The man’s subtle changes in expression were all captured by Yue Jinghua, who inevitably had a bad impression of him.
The female companion only showed her face, which brought about a wave of infatuated staring.

Feng Buhui looked dubiously at the female rcenary, and when she sent a flirtatious look his way, he awkwardly turned his head away: "These two are not weak, but since they operate alone, they should be independent rcenaries."
This ti for the Xuyang Trial, the rcenary Headquarters also allocated so spots for independent rcenaries from the civilian population. These independent rcenaries often don’t have a fixed rcenary Branch or belong to any rcenary Group. Such people have their pros and cons; the advantage being they are isolated and don’t form cliques, the disadvantage is their discipline is lax, and they’re not easily managed.
"We have no available personnel at the mont, they do seem a bit strange, but they both appear strong. We all want to Break Formation, and since our goals align without any conflicting interests, it wouldn’t hurt to cooperate this one ti," Yue Jinghua decided to collaborate with the two for the greater good.
Yue Jinghua then exchanged nas and backgrounds with the two, and they also showed their rcenary Manual and rings to confirm their identities.
According to the manuals, the man and woman were the Five-star rcenary Ying Wuwang and the Four-star rcenary Hu Li, respectively. Both were independent rcenaries, without any affiliation or nationality, having spent their early years traveling and tempering themselves until they heard the news of the Xuyang Trial and ca to Four Symbols City.
"We’re quite lucky. After hearing about the discovery of the Four Symbols Colored Cloud Transmission Array in Five Saints Town, we hurried here and made it in ti," Ying Wuwang’s speech was quite proper. They arrived late and were outsiders, coincidentally eting Yue Jinghua’s team which was short of one person, so they took the initiative to strike up a conversation.
Feng Buhui thought about it but couldn’t recall if such individuals existed in the rcenary World.
Being Four-Star and Five-Star rcenaries, their Cultivation was around Dark Heavenly, which shouldn’t pose a problem.
"If that is the case, let’s form a temporary team," Yue Jinghua briefly discussed with Ying Wuwang and then made the decision.
All eight stepped up together, with the first step being to select their respective War Beasts.
The Third Team, consisting of eight people, encountered an unexpected problem while selecting their Beast Chess pieces.
"Jinghua, I can’t activate the Beast Chess," Shalman said with a flushed face, looking awkward and helpless as she stood to the side after a period of trying to pick one.
Most of the creatures in Beast Chess were burly Dark Beasts with hefty builds, and Shalman’s Cultivation was diocre. She couldn’t use Cultivation Beasts to control the Beast Chess, and for a mont, she found herself unable to activate any of them.
"Haha, I thought you were so amazing, turns out you’re just trash," Ye Yan Yu mocked gleefully upon seeing this.
If one person in an eight-mber team couldn’t activate their Beast Chess, it was as if they were one person short.
Everyone looked at each other, not expecting to face such a problem.
"Shalman, you still have one Beast Chess piece you haven’t tried," Yue Jinghua encouraged and reminded Shalman.
The Beast Chess piece Yue Jinghua referred to was the most unassuming one, the Earth Tunneling Rat.
The Rat Beast was only the size of a palm, looking frail as if it were not fit to enter the battlefield—just looking at it made one feel it was weak.
She could indeed activate the old rat, but for a delicate and beautiful female rcenary to ride on a rat, the sight itself was quite comical.
Yue Jinghua’s reminder only led to a burst of laughter.
Ye Yan Yu laughed even harder, her mockery relentless.
"I..." Shalman bit her lip, her pretty face blushing like a bright red cloth.
"Shalman, this is no ti to be stubborn; we can’t afford to be without a single person," Yue Jinghua approached her, whispering so words, which slightly steadied Shalman, though she still looked dejected.
During this ti, the rest of the team had each made their choices of Beast Chess pieces.
Yue Jinghua chose a Leopard Chess piece, nimble and agile; as the Flash Mink Leopard was among her Dark Beasts, she was quite familiar with handling such a creature.
Feng Buhui chose a Griffon Chess piece, Luo chose an elephant chess piece, Qian Luo, with diocre Dark Power, picked a Cat Beast for its agility, Qin Dongting chose a Wolf Beast, and as for the two new rcenaries, Ying Wuwang selected a Horse Beast, while the enchanting female rcenary Hu Li picked a Fox Beast, which bore so resemblance to her.
After selecting their Beast Chess pieces one by one, with Yue Jinghua at the center, the eight split into two groups: Qian Luo and Luo stayed by the "Beast Nest", while Shalman rode the Rat Beast and quickly tunneled underground.
The remaining five, with Feng Buhui riding the Griffon and holding a Crossbow, patrolled the skies.
Yue Jinghua, along with Ying Wuwang and Hu Li, charged into the enemy’s camp like three sharp arrows.
Ye Yan Yu, who was watching the battle, scoffed disdainfully, "Really courting death, hope it’s not another total wipeout."
"Hehe, Miss Yanyu, you must never have played Beast Fighting Chess; it’s not about sheer strength or brutality," Helian Sheng said, stroking his chin. He had interacted with Yue Jinghua before and knew well that she was a person of deep thought and careful planning, who would not make her move without solid confidence.
Helian Sheng watched with a look of appreciation, nodding slightly, while Bo Xiyu also seed relaxed and attentive, observing Yue Jinghua and her team as they infiltrated the enemy’s formation.
