The Rookie rcenary Group actually completed their first rcenary mission.
In less than two days, Yue Jinghua and Zack successfully collected one hundred Poison Scorpion Needles.
The gambling in the tavern with odds as high as ten to one ended with Johnny and the others losing miserably.
The first mission of Luoke and Yue Jinghua miraculously finished. Even the equipnt of the two remained undamaged, not to ntion there were no casualties.
After the successful completion of the Poison Bee Scorpion task, in just a short month, Yue Jinghua and Zack, the newbies ford rookie rcenary Team, have risen astonishingly fast, quickly establishing a reputation in Shake rcenary Town.
On the twenty-eighth day of the sa month, Yue Jinghua finally passed the assessnt for a One-star rcenary and advanced to beco a Two-star rcenary.
After exchanging for a brand new two-star badge from the Shake rcenary Union, Yue Jinghua calculated the ti; it was about ti to return to Polo City.
Before leaving Polo City, she wanted to say goodbye to Zack and his sister, the adorable Zarlia, one last ti.
Although they hadn't known each other for long, in the past twenty-sothing days, Yue Jinghua had already developed a deep relationship with the siblings.
When she arrived at Zack's stone house, Zack hadn't co back yet. After a month of teaming up for missions, Zack had accumulated so experience and money. He had started to accept rcenary tasks independently and gradually began to make so rcenary friends. This made Yue Jinghua quite relieved.
Upon hearing that Yue Jinghua was leaving, Zarlia reluctantly pulled her into their ho.
Zack's house was simply furnished: aside from tables and chairs for daily use, there were only bare walls and a table for incense, used to honor Zack's parents' morial tablets.
Zarlia brewed a cup of tea for Yue Jinghua and chattered like a little sparrow, inquiring about Polo City and the outside world from ti to ti.
"Li Ya, since you want to go out so much, why don't you just leave Sabah Town with your brother? The outside world is far more interesting than Sabah Town," Yue Jinghua teased, and Zarlia shook her head after a mont, "No, my brother has said it, this is our root, we cannot leave Sabah Town."
Ten years ago, Zack's parents died in a strange sandstorm in the Tak Desert, and the siblings didn't even find their parents' remains, only able to offer their parents' clothes in rembrance.
Because of this, Zack always carried this burden; he wanted to delve deep into the Tak Desert to uncover the secret of his parents' deaths.
"Jinghua, you've co," Zack's cheerful voice ca from outside; he was carrying a pack of food and a small barrel of Bitter Malt Wine in his hands.
Yue Jinghua noticed that today's Zack was a bit different from usual, as he carried a large object wrapped in white cloth on his back.
By its shape, Yue Jinghua could tell that it was a thick-bladed Great Sword.
On the Canglong Continent, there are quite a few Dark Martial Artists who use swords, but not many use Great Swords, as wielding a Great Sword requires much more strength than a standard sword. The lethality of a Great Sword is impressive, but it lacks agility, and it demands exceptional physical strength from Great Swordsn.
However, the Great Sword on Zack's back was different from the ordinary ones; it was short, extending only to Zack's waist. Such a short sword, when contrasted with Zack's tall, thin stature, seed almost comical.
"This sword is what my father left behind, he found it in the ruins deep in the Tak Desert during his last journey through the desert." Zack noticed Yue Jinghua's gaze.
"This is a broken sword, not suitable for combat," Yue Jinghua remarked.
"Yes, it was already like this when it was found. It looks tattered, but it's very special to because it belonged to my father. The town's blacksmith couldn't repair this sword; I plan to carry it to Babel City across the desert to see if soone there can fix it."
"Brother, stop talking about that. Sister Jinghua said she is leaving," Zarlia said sadly. She knew that it was because of Yue Jinghua that her and her brother's lives had improved.
The smile faded from Zack's face.
He was silent for a while, looking at Yue Jinghua, then suddenly smiled again, "You're leaving? That's right, you said you would only stay in Sabah Town for a month. When you arrived, you treated to a drink, and now that you're leaving, let treat you. Let's consider it a farewell drink."
The place where Zack treated Yue Jinghua to a drink was the "Coconut Shell" tavern where they had their first drink together.
