Chapter 122: The Primary Principle of a rcenary
Every rcenary, upon becoming one, receives a rcenary Manual.
If nothing unexpected occurs, the rcenary Manual will accompany them throughout their entire rcenary career.
The rcenary Manual must not be lost or transferred to another.
Opening the first page of the rcenary Manual, before the list of rcenaries, are written several rules that rcenaries must abide by.
The first rule in the rcenary Manual states, "Mutual benefit and love; in tis when a fellow rcenary encounters danger, one must lend a helping hand."
This particular rule was exactly what Chi Xi reminded Yue Jinghua of.
Looking at the lighthouse in front of them, sparkling like starlit moonlight, one more step would bring them to the bustling port city.
Taking a step back, behind them would be the outer sea of Fandi Port, eerie and ghostly like the sea of the dead. Yue Jinghua licked her lips, dried by the sea breeze over the course of a day, and uttered just one word, "Go!"
This "Go" instantly changed the expressions of the few people who had been silent.
Shalman, Qian Luo, and Chi Xi all nodded, imdiately standing behind Yue Jinghua.
The Dragon Rider who ca with them stuttered, "Are you all mad? You’re now with the Southern Expedition Army; if you plan to help, we won’t accompany you to your deaths. Miss Long Rui, Young Master Qing, Ji what, let’s go."
Having witnessed the might of the Mandala Seaweed, this inland Dragon Rider was already scared out of his wits, believing that what even the Manduo Brothers could not handle must be an extrely perilous situation. They neither wished nor were willing to court death.
Long Rui pursed her lips tightly, staring at Yue Jinghua for a long ti before finally squeezing out a sentence: "I want to stay."
Qing Zizhu hesitated, looking at his mother, Chi Xi, who hadn’t glanced at him from the beginning to the end, and suddenly felt that his mother was sowhat different from the fragile woman he rembered in his mind. He clenched his fists and said stiffly, "I’ve changed my mind. I’m quite interested in the fishing boats of Bruce Blue Comrce, I’ll go take a look with you."
Seeing that none wanted to leave, Ji Yun also bit his lip: "Have you all gone mad, infected by Yue Jing? You’ve all caught the fool’s disease. Forget it, if we’re not leaving, then we’re not leaving. We might as well die together."
Seeing that no one was inclined to go, the Dragon Rider grunted. He tapped on the Dragon Pattern himself and summoned a Sub-Asian Dragon.
His Sub-Asian Dragon was also a Water Attribute Green-eyed Dragon, which was quite adept in water as well.
Muttering curses under his breath, he climbed onto his Water Dragon and hastily fled towards the direction of the lighthouse.
"A coward afraid of death," Ji Yun spat contemptuously, seeing Yue Jinghua and the others looking back at him with amusent, he climbed onto the Flying Dragon with a cold face, "I’ll scout ahead."
"Co back, do not act recklessly. I sll the scent of blood. It’s pitch black ahead, and should you encounter any Flying Fish type Sea Beasts, no one can save you," Yue Jinghua asked Shalman; in the past, the Southern Fandi Sea was separated from the Eastern Continent for a while due to a tsunami, which resulted in different Undersea Spiritual Wood and Dark Beasts than other parts of the continent.
So unheard-of bizarre creatures, such as the Mandala Seaweed they encountered earlier, were quite common here.
Ji Yun had no choice but to dismount from the Flying Dragon, feeling embarrassed.
"Long Rui, you take this Elixir Pills first and feed it to the Lake King Dragon," Yue Jinghua tossed a bottle of Detoxification Pill to Long Rui, instructing her to administer it to the Lake King Dragon and then took out several more bottles, distributing them to Shalman, Chi Xi, and the others, while saying, "We will approach the outer sea slowly; every five miles we travel, throw one of the bottles in your hands into the water."
Yue Jinghua provided Long Rui with a detoxification pill made from green liquid mixed with clear water that had been touched by a unicorn’s horn, while the other bottles contained Death Lake Water.
The Death Lake Water, that could rapidly cause Dark Beasts to age and die, silently perated into the sea domain.
Unnoticed, the Lake King Dragon was drawing closer to the open sea.
As soon as Shalman and the others sprinkled the Death Lake Water into the sea, soon after, the surface of the water was filled with slender, snake-like fish, their bodies glowing with phosphorescence.
They continuously emitted "pop pop" sounds, flipping about on the water’s surface for a while before dying off.
"It’s the Deep Sea Electric Eel," Shalman watched with interest, scooping up those serpentine sea fish.
Deep Sea Electric Eels are a very dangerous type of Dark Beast that live in the deep sea areas at depths of 500 ters during the day, and at night they quietly leap out of the water. If prey or an unsuspecting fishing boat gets too close, they emit a high-voltage electric current, stunning their target or the Dark Beast with a jolt of electricity before dragging it down to the seabed to feast.
Just in the five-mile stretch of sea domain ahead, the number of Deep Sea Electric Eels killed by the Death Lake Water reached into the thousands.
This turned Long Rui’s pretty face pale with distaste for such vermin, while Ji Yun and Qing Zizhu were also filled with fright. They hadn’t expected such a small area of ocean to house so many ferocious Deep Sea Electric Eels. Although Yue Jinghua was using despicable ans of poison, it was, nonetheless, the most ti and effort-saving thod.
"What a pity, only tough old at left poisoned by the Death Lake Water, not even chewable, otherwise I would consider making eel rice. The flesh of the Deep Sea Electric Eels from South Vanti Port, truly top-grade," Yue Jinghua said with a face full of regret.
At such a ti, to still be preoccupied with eating, Ji Yun and Qing Zizhu simultaneously rolled their eyes.
Just at that mont, the Dragon Rider who had abandoned Yue Jinghua and the others had already escaped for several miles.
The signal tower ahead was getting closer, and he couldn’t help feeling anxious, urging the Green-eyed Dragon beneath him to go faster.
In his mont of distraction, aside from the ripples of paddling, a pair of devilish green eyes had quietly appeared behind the Green-eyed Dragon.
Those eyes, taking advantage of the Dragon Rider’s unpreparedness, gradually drew closer to the Green-eyed Dragon.
Suddenly, the pair of green eyes burst out from under the water.
Blood roiled on the surface of the sea, and both the man and the Sub-Asian Dragon were gone. Not far away, the signal tower still sent out its soft glow, which in the dark night looked like a mother with open arms, waiting for her child to return from a long journey.
"Look ahead!" Yue Jinghua and the others proceeded smoothly on their way.
As the Death Lake Water was nearly used up, they were also nearing Bruce An Chamber of Comrce’s fishing boat.
"What’s that? It’s flying fish!" On the fishing boat not far away.
The fishing boat where the Manduo Brothers were, which looked intact during the day, was now rapidly sinking beneath the water’s surface.
Like hitting a reef in the darkness, the lower half of the vessel had already developed a large crack, with sea water continuously pouring in.
Onboard, the fishern who hadn’t managed to escape were in a state of inexplicable panic, not daring to jump into the water.
Just over a mile from the ship, on the sea surface at that ti, there were large numbers of winged Flying Fish flapping about. Each Flying Fish was like a dart flying through the air, cutting through the Mandala Seaweed, creating a situation of extre peril.
